Hey Paul thanks for the great guitar playing you brought us in Perth. I will never forget the night you got up on stage with us at the Norwood hotel. RIP mate...Always remembered.
We've lost a lot of good people/musicians over the past decade and many of us are shuffling dangerously close to the edge. I was in Kalgoorlie in the early 70's when Paul opened his guitar case (Strat) to reveal an intact Fender after it had been blown out of his ute at around 120km/hr on the way. He invited me to join Leroy Rat Band and we played one gig before I was lured back to Kal. I was in the back room of the Mandurah RSL for a Sitting Bull gig when he tore the place apart in a bourbon-fuelled tirade that nobody could explain - but then we've all done that. He loved guitars, amps and everything about them and whenever we found ourselves in the same town or at the same gig, he would pull out a trade magazine (US edition) and source a part I was having trouble finding in Perth. Paul was a rough diamond - but a great guy with a big heart. When I heard he was ailing, I phoned him to organise a get together. He excitedly told me about a Les Paul re-issue he had just bought and then asked if I needed any amps or guitars for my home recordings. He passed a few days later. Gone, but not forgotten.
Just got goosebumps. This is the music that runs through ur blood and makes my pulse start racing. 😊🙌🏽👍😇❤️❤️

He was my little brother and I miss him
Knew him well from the Jets days at the old Raffles on Friday evenings.--Dave T
