My dad was the one who taught me to love 80's music. I wish he had the opportunity to hear this song. I miss him every time I listen to his favorite groups, bands and singers. Obviously, Tears For Fears was one of them.

I'm not sure how I got hooked on 80's (earlier too) music, but my mum loves a-ha and Depeche Mode and my grandpa loved The Beatles
Tears For Fears is timeless !!!! Roland is a freaking lyrical genius !!!! Love Curt, too!!! These guys saved me from so many dark moments in my life. I owe them so much. I love them.
It's amazing that they're able to maintain their distinct 1980s style song while able to blend it to modern day era

I don't feel they do maintain that style here. I like it when their voices separate more, when there's more soul to the music, and when the original song doesn't sound like a generic remix. This doesn't sound like a melody they would come up with, or a production they would do.

What a phenomenal extension of Curt and Roland's individual and collective talents. They have moved Tears for Fears to such a great, new level. I missed this song, when it first was released. I do not know how that happened. I play this song multiple times throughout the week. It can never -- never get old!

I discovered this song today and it was love at first hearing! I've been listening for 8 uninterrupted hours!
One of the first few songs in ages that I could replay over and over without getting tired.
I thought I was the only one lol. I literally played it 30 plus times in 2 days
I wouldn't have expected anything less from TFF... They really know how to deliver GREAT music to their fans!

Incrível como esses caras mesmo com todo esse tempo não perdem a essência em suas músicas. Mesmo tão longe dos anos 80 eles nos fazem se sentir novamente nessa época escutando essa e outras músicas deles. Simplesmente incrível!
Até que os anos 2000 não foram tão ruins, e o que teve de ruim nessa época já existia em outras, pq música bosta TB é atemporal (esteve presente com força desde os primórdios, mas a gente tende a esquece las na medida em que envelhecemos e criamos nossa memória afetiva). Interessante que o próprio Roland tocou nesse assunto algumas vezes em entrevistas que deu a portais brasileiros. Acho que se for pensar bem, talvez nem hoje a música esteja tão lixo qnto pensamos, o problema é que, graças ao "jabá", e ao novo modelo de mercado fonográfico, basicamente estamos condenados a ver o que há de mais tosco e fútil virando hit, tocando em cada bar e esquina. Música de qualidade ainda há aos montes, só não tanta gente com paciência pra procurar de forma espontânea sem a facilidade de outros tempos, em que boas canções TB tocavam em rádios e programas de TV, qndo descobrir bandas de excelentes não era uma tarefa que demandava tanta dedicação.
Sensacional sempre foram os melhores 👊👍👏👏👏👏

If 80s were so 'BORING', then they wouldn't have sold MILLIONS of albums and stayed in the music biz for the last 40+ years... So that means they must've been doing SOMETHING right!
This song unfortunately has all the generic hallmarks of recent dance music, which is actually boring. The descending melody in the pre-chorus and chorus, that riff in the chorus that's repeated too many times... I wish this were a remix and an original song with better, more interesting production existed.

Grande som! Eu tive o prazer de estar no tour deles em Porto Alegre em 2011. Eu queria deixar uma marca, então eu fiz um avião de papel e esperei a musica "Pale Shelter". No exato momento que existem aviozinhos de papel voando no clipe musical deles, eu atirei o meu aviazinho de papel para o palco. Curt viu e deu uma baita gargalhada nao acreditando no que havia acontecido! kkk
Great song! I had a pleasure to be in their tour in 2011 in Porto Alegre. I wanted to let my mark so i did a paper airplaneand waited for Pale Shelter song. At exact moment that there is a lot of paper airplanes on videoclip i threw my paper airplane to the stage. Curt saw that and did a big laugh not believing about it just happened! kkk
