We go in depth on this IWI Masada Slim

Bought this gun yesterday as my first firearm. Put 100 rounds through it today. Had a blast shooting it. Very nice trigger. Friendly recoil. Still getting used to the sights. Looking forward to the optics reviews for this gun. Ordered my holster iwb from muddy tactical river. Should arrive soon.
According to IWI, the mag is Jericho pattern, so will take full size Jericho/CZ75B/Tanfoglio small frame mags. Would make an awesome backup piece if you carry those at all, and word is mag sleeves are being developed for the full size mags so you can have an "extended" option. Meprolight will probably have tritium options, too.

I love it
I was actually chatting with IWI about this Masada Slim a couple days ago, and they told me the Slim also accepts and runs with CZ 75 mags! They said they had run a ton of CZ 75 mags through the Slim with no problems. So ho w about 17+1 or even 19+1 capacity for the Slim, probably more as backup mags? And don't quote me on this, but I have read that some Sig (P320?) sights can be used on this gun.
If you notice on the breakdown of the pistol, you never have to touch the trigger, and you have to remove the magazine, and pull the slide all the way back insuring that the gun is empty and you reduce the chance of a negligent discharge.
Bought one 2dys ago , no rounds through it yet . Still getting familiar with my sig P365xl.
Am being told, across the board, they print low… It’s accurate, but not to point of aim. Is that true?
I think whoever is saying this is a bit brain damaged. Irons are zero'd to a particular distance. You can add a red dot and change your zero to whatever you want.

Reason why Masada slim trigger doesn’t stay rearward if the pistol isn’t cocked is because it appears to have a trigger return spring similar to a Walther P99/PPQ/PDP or Canik (Walther P99 clone), which is why Walther and Canik are known to have the best trigger on a striker fired platform. This is going off video I’ve seen with pistol field stripped, and it appears to have a trigger return spring like Walther.

Bought an LAG holster from IWI website for the Masada S….holster is horrible. Mags are non existent right now-other than that, I love my Masada S!
I ended up buying one from Alpha Omega Kydex. It's awesome!!!

I put a Holosun 507K, and a Glock 43x Houge grip (fits perfect) it's an awesome pistol 👌
Sights are standard SIG 320 pattern. Tons of options if you want to change them, and you can correct elevation to your preferred hold by changing front sight height.
btw: You can use Jericho and CZ mags on the Masada Slim

As long as they are "CZ 75" mags, yes. That's what IWI-USA told me directly the other day.
I wish I could get one , but I live in Stupid California and it's not on their Gun Roster .
One of my favorites in my collection is an IWI galil arm parts kit build.
I really like the video, but more on that later.
I have used mags from my Jericho 941F, Bul Armory Cherokee, CZ75, and Tanfoglio. All work with it.
Thanks, I was able to get some Jericho and CZ75 mags that work. I got a MecGar mag that fits, but has trouble cycling

Really like my original Masada. IWI needs to get some magazines on the market. I can't find 17 rounders for it to save my life, and that puts me off of buying/trying the slim, Are Magazines going to be available?

You can also buy CZ 75 mags for the gun. They aren't flush but I hear they are making magazine sleeves to make the mags fit flush. CZ75 mags from MecGar are pretty cheap too.
So they made a p365/X/XL ....

Seems like it. But when compared to the 365X, the Masada is significantly cheaper with a longer barrel in same overall length. The height is the same as the P365X but you get 1 more round in the magazine.
Also, I'm thinking that EPS Carry may be king, but we'll see

@@ThinLineDefenseCo i completely forgot about the eps carry being RMSC pattern, you’re absolutely right about that. Cleaning dust out of the 507k for the last couple years has proven to me enclosed emitters are superior in every way.
@@stephen_crumley I am using the Crimson Trace 1550 on my Masada Slim and it's a great little optic for $150. I might upgrade to the Eps carry optic but right now I am satisfied with the CT1550.

IWI is my favorite.
My wife has seen the holo point through the barrel, so it's been a rough road getting her comfortable enough to have firearms in the house.
She's finally open to owning and carrying with dummy rounds as I work with her and our littles on firearm control, operations and safety.
I am so excited for range day! It's going to be amazing!

Is the slide on the Masada Slim easy or difficult to manipulate? How does it compare (shooting, overall use and operation) to the Shield Plus?
Overall I like it better than the Shield Plus. I think the slide feels better in my hands than the Shield Plus too.

I don't believe the slide release is, but I think the mag release is. Don't quote me on it. I'm still at Shot Show 2023, so I can check when I get home.

IDF doesn’t use the Masada. They use Glocks.
I don't think the Masada has been out that long, has it? No doubt they'll be using Glock for awhile until Masada has a proven track record.
Masada is intended for the civilian market.
That doesn't mean it is not good for IDF use, but militaries usually don't pick (sub) compact pistols. Militaries do not need to concealed-carry, and the design of such pistols must make needless compromises from their point of view.
Vs p365 or shield plus
I have the Shield plus and this is much better in my opinion. I'll probably getting a P365XL at some point, but so far I'm loving this IWI

We do live under domestic threat every day, under Democrats. It seems that gun manufactory needs to come out with a new gun because they cannot build better to what they have. JMO.
To be honest,I doubt Republicans are the answer. Both sides seem willing to step on 2A rights. Trump is in favor of red flag laws, he appointed anti-2A judges in several appeals court, and appointed William Barr as Attorney General. A guy who was/is in favor of the assault weapon ban from the 90s.

You can use CZ mags on it
Full size Masada mags will not fit, but the CZ mags work.
The iwi Jericho mag will fit as well as the CZ
