Im lds, I had an abusive ex that thought I was his property (this is the opposite of what the church teaches) , when I broke things off I was told to forgive, take him back, not go to the police ect, but I stuck to the truth and a year after it all ended I got an official letter from the church saying they would support me in going to the police. It was too late then but good to be vindicated. There are insidents of those who don't understand abuse in the church, and dont understand that in those circumstances, the loving God we believe in would want us to be safe. My church therapist was very abuse aware and taught me how to manage church leaders, they're not perfect not trained people. The basic principle of Christianity is love and respect for all, if that isn't how you're being treated, get out, no matter the opinions of those that don't understand that basic truth.
@@SaintOtterthat's right Christians actually hurt far more people than the Mormon lol. In The 1940s they alone killed over 30 million people as well as violated millions more women
Story 2: Ex-wife really thought she was gonna have a 6 month affair, get divorced, and get a $100k severance package without getting caught 😂😂😂. She belongs to the streets!
It could have been in America, Asia, Central America, South America, Africa, the Caribbean, etc. Basically, the globe. Racism/colotism is a global mental health crisis.
s1: excommunication? lmao yeah right they just go to the bishop "beg" for mercy and all is forgiven, oh wait don't take the sacrament for a sunday and then you're forgiven. this happens a lot and nothing ever gets done because the church feels they need to keep them together despite the abuse
Women raised in mormonism are essentially raised to be subservient. It's not really surprising she's like this. I don't think victim blaming her is particularly helpful either.
Lady's probably been brainwashed from day 1 to be a "good wife and mother". It's hard to advocate for yourself when you've been groomed your whole life
Damn Op just tell him you want to bop one of his cousins or a hot pop star and call it even the man slipped up ...... ...............wait after all that sleeping around you still married him even after the cousin........you must LOVE the disrespect........Op you have a choice to make ..stay and be miserable or gain your self respect and divorce..
Story 1; The second she said they were Mormon, it all made sense 😑
I bet the therapist she talked about had to have been Mormon also to just say "forgive him".

LDS isn't Christian.
Having Joseph Smith as a prophet, yeah, that's messes stuff really up.
