According to the court case, the police finally cracked the phone and got all the texts between him and the girl. It was found he never planned to meet her or indicated it. Also, it was found that once she mentioned her age to him, he completely cut off contact with her even though she kept trying to contact him. What he did was slimy, since he's married and doesn't need to be doing any flirty texts with anyone but his wife, but there was no exposing himself or attempts to meet her and he cut off contact once she mentioned being underage. This was all after he plead guilty on legal advice given to him. The entire case was overturned. He is innocent of child endangerment and he is innocent of exposing himself and he is innocent of knowingly talking inappropriately to an underage girl. What he is guilty of, is doing slimy crap on text behind his wife's back. And inappropriate conversations with women other than his wife.

The reason why people plea guilty is because it's quicker and easier to handle. Because unless he has a case that can guarantee that he is innocent, he isn't going to take the chance and risk a longer sentence. He can buy time by pleading guilty and then take legal action when he has more info Edit: Charlie literally skipped over the part where Drake said that he took the plea deal because it was faster. Edit 2: Gotta add in this comment because there is a fucking dumbass in the comment section arguing about the whole thing, thinking I'm defending Drake. The reason why Drake is able to make the video was that he was sentenced to two years of probation. And that was because he took the plea deal. If he attempted to go to trial, he would have to be locked behind bars because they have to detain you if you are awaiting trial. Especially if you are convicted of "child endangerment". Drake is literally buying himself time. Charlie thought he was behind bars because he went to court, but skipped over the fact where Drake stated that he took the plea deal because "it was faster". Unless you have unfalsifiable evidence that can prove you are innocent, most likely you will have to take a plea deal to buy some time. It's too much of a risk to fight the case, especially since they are willing to give a lighter sentence. People have been fucked over by the judicial system because of this. Thank the fucking dumbass for having me write this essay because charlie skipped over the part of the video that answered his question.

Basically, Drake pled guilty to what he did because even if he wasn't aware of her age, he still sent explicit messages to a minor. So even if everything he's claiming here is true, he still would've been found guilty of what he plead guilty to
You don’t have to get arrested to be charged and go to court they can send you notices for your court dates and maybe call him to the police station. A lot of higher profile people get this treatment so he may never of actually got put in cuffs and “technically” arrested but just charged.
The problem with court cases in general is that plea deals are given and described such that people are willing to accept guilt, even if they are innocent, just to avoid the chance that they are convicted and the outcome is severely worse than if they took the plea deal. Few years ago a friend was caught with marijuana in New York and despite having a marijuana card he was being threatened with charges for having over a certain amount in his car, something along the lines that they believed he was a dealer. The inevitable plea deal was that he admits guilt and serves up to 6 months and 250 hrs of community service, or if he is found guilty in trial, serves up to 10 (might’ve been 20?) years in prison. Idk about anyone else reading this, but I would probably opt for a plea deal there even if I’m innocent. Not going to risk how the jury is feeling on me serving that much time in jail if they believe I’m guilty. Could possibly be the reason Drake is coming out saying that everything is wrong, even if he did plead guilty.
Taking a plea deal means almost nothing. It's all about winning for prosecutors. Here's how it works: you get arrested for any crime. The prosecutor will try to get it over as quickly as possible by threatening you will get maximum time/ fees if you try to fight and lose. But if you take a plea, you'll face lesser consequences. It's essentially blackmail to make it easier for the prosecution to win. Also this has nothing to do with the case, I'm just informing why pleading guilty doesn't mean much.
Yep, prosecution is 100% committed to "solving" crimes even if the person they've arrested and accused hasn't done shit. They will push that person to accept guilt so they can say they "solved" it and move to the next one. Stats are all that really matters for many of them.
This happened to me when I was 19. I got pulled over for expired tags. Had a broken bong in my back seat and the bong had "resin" in it. Arrested, taken to the hospital for a blood test, thrown in jail for a night. During court the prosecutor pulled me aside and told me I was going to do 2 years in jail if I tried to fight it. Fuck that. I plead guilty. I'm 29 now and just saw the court papers(had to get them for work) and saw I was convicted of driving under the influence of alcohol 😐 should've fought it.
I would assume that Drake Bell has enough money to buy good enough lawyers to make it so it would be highly unlikely for him to lose if he genuinely wasn’t guilty. In this case, him pleading guilty was probably more that he was guilty and wanted to take the deal so he could have a lesser punishment.
Imagine Drake in court and the judge asks "Mr. Bell do you have anything to say for yourself?" And he just goes: "MEGAN!" Cue laugh track, roll credits
The courts showed proof what else is there to look into? The new information about his horrific abuse as a child doesn’t take away from the abuse he did to another
He might.. but he also might not care? The case was over and done and the damages came with it. Drake took the plead deal however, so what happen after that is up to him to bring people back to his side.
The only thing I can say is that people do often plead guilty even if they've committed no crime. Especially since they often portray it as "you're gonna be found guilty anyway, might as well take a plea deal" and stop them from using their right to a trial. Not saying this is the case here--it seems pretty unlikely that a wealthy(ish?) guy like Drake Bell would plead guilty if he knew he was innocent and wouldn't try to fight it at all.
@TheRealBandito mmmmm looks like it's had the opposite effect lol im betting more its cause they had a strong case against him and didn't want certain things comming out to the public during the trial.
@TheRealBandito ehhh I don't buy that shit. If you got the money and case to prove your innocence then you'd do what you could. That just sounds like a lame celebrity excuse to say oh I didn't actually do it while getting the lightest sentence they can. And look at all the memes and everything on him right now cause he pleaded guilty. You telling me that's the kinnda public image you'd want if you were in his shoes. Sure I guess this route will keep him some brain dead fans but over all he's destroyed his public image.

A little girl would not be able to understand that she could not consent. She idolized him and Drake took advantage and power played her. Just because a parents tells their child not to talk to strangers online doesn’t automatically mean that the child genuinely understands the potential consequences of doing so. @@dylanlavillain7173 there is a reason people defend him. The story is more nuanced. What he did was NOT right, but the girl is genuinely crazy. Here’s an explanation which I stole from other person, which was also supported by court. She spammed his Instagram DMs until he noticed & answered. She gave him a sob story & he gave her some advice, as a way to uplift her spirits, then sent her a picture of herself & complimented it. (He called her cute) She thanks him for the advice & tells him he doesn't know just how much he helped her. He never said anything else to her after that. She then started to get obsessive & kept trying to reach out to him (she admits this in the sentencing video), but didn't succeed. He announces his engagement to his longtime girlfriend of 4 years. After learning about this, she decides to confront him over it, which resulted in her getting blocked by him. She then proceeds to contact his fiancé, confronting her about her relationship with him & telling her that she should've been the one to be with Drake instead of her. She then started stalking her page, thus proceeding to blackmail her with the allegations, threatening to tell the world that Drake had raped her.All this happened in 2017. The next year, she files a false police report, accusing him of Sexual Assault, grooming, sending her nudes & sexual texts. Now, while she's doing this, Janet (his wife) & Drake are completely unaware that their lives are about to be turned upside down by this stalkerish fan. Drake plans more concerts & she pops up at every one since filing the report. Drake & the accuser's phones were seized by the authorities when she made the claims. The investigation went on for 2 years. The accuser claimed that Drake had groomed her since the age of 12, starting in 2014. This implies that she & Drake were engaging in an online relationship for 3 years. This was apparently going on since the start of he & Janet's relationship, which began in 2014. The investigators caught her in many other lies besides this big one. More lies included Drake getting sexual with her when she reached age 15. He started calling her "hot" & had sent her pictures of his genitalia. She stated that after she revealed her age, he continued talking to her. The investigators found no proof of that. They also found no proof that he forced her to give him a BJ. She, her aunt, & her aunt's friend were all invited to visit his hotel room after the 2nd show. When they arrived, he was blow drying his hair & when he finished, he gave them a tour, talked to them & they took the conversation out in the hallway. Her aunt told her & her friend to wait out in the hallway while she stayed behind to get her birthday card autographed by him. The accuser told the friend that she was planning on ruining his life because he rejected her advances on Instagram. When she heard this, she was furious & decided to confront the aunt. She then informed the accuser's mother & they both accused her of lying, which resulted in her being disowned by the family. She had known the accuser & her family for over 20 years. She knew they were setting him up when she was later contacted by the authorities. Both she & Drake each told their side of what happened. She had stated that his life is ruined by this & expressed how hurt she was over being accused of lying. The investigators also discovered that the accuser had kept photos of Janet in her phone because she was using them to stalk & harass her over her relationship with Drake. She stated this in a video she made on Instagram earlier this year. l've never heard of a potential victim of Sexual Assault stalking & blackmailing a newly engaged woman because she believed that her fiance should've been with her. The accuser amped up the drama by claiming that Drake gave her nightmares, panic attacks (she pretended to have one right after saying this, which caused Drake to look at her ass as if she was crazy), was the reason that she was in therapy (she was in therapy way before she even met him) & has a lack of trust in men. She stated that had she not been on her period, she was sure that he would've raped her. She also doesn't hesitate to blame her aunt for "allowing" her to be assaulted & that is the reason why their relationship is so rocky, when the actual reason why their relationship is shaky is because she blatantly lied on her. She says that he doesn't have any remorse for the pain he caused her (getting engaged & not being dumb enough to choose a teenager over his girlfriend), that he was a coward for appearing on Zoom instead of in court in person, & doesn't shy away from dragging him over revealing that he was happily married & was a new father & says that he's trying to present himself to the world as a good man just because he had a child (which was his wife's idea to reveal their marital status to the world once everything blew over, as she stated in her video) & that she deserves better than to be used by his "sick desires" before signing off by stating that he is a pedophile & that was his legacy. Because of her, people now believe that he is a pedophile who was cheating with her behind his wife's back, when the girl was already blocked before they even got married. His wife is getting unfair backlash because she stood by him throughout this entire horrific ordeal & they're outright disgusted by his actions because they really believe the things she accused Drake of doing to her & are treating her as if she's an actual victim of abuse, when in reality she was nothing but a stalker who became unhealthily obsessed with Drake to the point of deluding herself into believing that she'd get to be with him the SECOND he acknowledged her.
You have to watch the whole trial. Drakes defense absolutely decimates her claims. Basically what Drake did wrong was talk dirty to a girl he didn’t know was underage and stopped when he found out her age. She then stalked and harassed him for years eventually culminating in these charges. The girl is crazy. Drake is a moron, but it’s not fair to call him a pedo or a groomer because the girl made it up out of jealousy. This was proved in court.

Why did you say he/his that makes absolutely no sense you just say his in this situation

This makes me so depressed. I can’t even laugh at the commentary. This guy was the man back in the day
If it helps, he's essentially been proven innocent
The reason why people plea guilty is because it's quicker and easier to handle. Because unless he has a case that can guarantee that he is innocent, he isn't going to take the chance and risk a longer sentence. He can buy time by pleading guilty and then take legal action when he has more info
Edit: Charlie literally skipped over the part where Drake said that he took the plea deal because it was faster.
The falls?

This went from "my friend got arrested" to "me in court" pretty quick, it always does :DD
Solve the case any% speedrun, plead guilty strat

@@ghosthunter7496 :|
@@ghosthunter7496 Drake Bell is a celebrity known for being a child actor. He was a grown man who should know better than to talk to underage girls. A little girl would not be able to understand that she could not consent. She idolized him and Drake took advantage and power played her. Just because a parents tells their child not to talk to strangers online doesn’t automatically mean that the child genuinely understands the potential consequences of doing so. Just because it seems so on the surface doesn’t mean that it is the case. Power play can happen to anyone at any age. These types of dynamics are very tricky to deal with and can lead to serious psychological trauma.
@@ThePsychLife Drake needed help, even then, that girl sounded so fake during court. Also, I think that him, just like other content creators like, GameGrumps, Creepshow Art, still deserve careers for all they have given us, and not be judged because of some "behind the scenes drama".
@@ghosthunter7496 Crimes aren’t drama they need rehabilitation yes. No one is saying that they don’t. Just because they were “canceled” means nothing. Just because people do not like them anymore for what they have done doesn’t mean that they had to stop posting content. They did that on their own. The problem is if they do not genuinely look into themselves and seek treatment and help themselves. None of these people are facing jail time so they have all their rights to do what they want still. Now if they do the right thing and seek treatment when they feel ready to great. If they don’t then they don’t deserve a platform. Refusal to change when there has been obvious harm done should not be entertained.

@@annaisnotdum3337bro my head and heart hurt for how many people are now defending this dude just because of a fucken childhood show they watched…everyone commenting this is absolute L of a take genuinely need to reevaluate themselves as a human being
@@dylanlavillain7173 there is a reason people defend him.
@@dylanlavillain7173it’s sad seeing an actual victim of brutal and violent child sa being slandered like that in adulthood
Where can I find it? Do you have an unedited source I can watch the whole thing at? Its been a thing of mine lately. I watched every second so far of the Chauvin trial, watched all of the Jodi Arias trial, all of the Christian Behena trial, and a few more im sure at this point I cant remember the name of.
