But get this, the demons were another group of people that also thought they went to different dementions in their sleep. My theory is these people started out by role playing these fantasy characters in a fantasy universe, and it's so much more rewarding and enjoyable than their own identities and lives that they become addicted to it and over time essentially brainwash themselves with a fantastical secondary personality. They lose all perspective on reality and believe this secondary persona they created is actually residual memories from a previous life.
This is why method acting can be dangerous sometimes. Some people just lose themselves in being another character. It’s honestly such a weird feeling if you let yourself get too sucked up into it.

I honestly feel this way about people who go too far within a fandom. Like putting yourself so far into this fantasy world that it impedes into your every day life and determines your actions.
They try to fill the void in their lives with fantasy based scenarios but since that void is the size of a crater, the scope and severity of the stakes attached to these fantasies is a lot higher. This psychosis is further strengthened by the commradery and brotherhood that comes as a byproduct of being in a tight group of people who believe in these conspiracies. You feel like you belong and feel less crazy around people who think like you. This has been a very regular occurance in our history. People ostracized or left out on the fringes of human societies somehow always found meaning through common beliefs and banded together to keep the illusion alive.
As sad as it is, some times being in your own mind too much can trap you there. Reality becomes skewed just enough to bend it in strange ways to everyone that isn’t you.

My theory is these people started out by role playing these fantasy characters in a fantasy universe, and it's so much more rewarding and enjoyable than their own identities and lives that they become addicted to it and over time essentially brainwash themselves with a fantastical secondary personality. They lose all perspective on reality and believe this secondary persona they created is actually residual memories from a previous life.

Long ago I watched an episode of through the wormhole with Morgan Freeman (a show on the science Channel) about radicalization and terrorism. One of the experts they had on said that a good technique to deradicalize people is instead of trying to oppose their extremism rather say you agree with them and take their beliefs to such a ludicrous point so that it even sounds crazy to the extremist. It shocks them into reconsidering their beliefs. It seems that the secret space program society did that to you unintentionally.

I’m feeling like most conspiracies at this point or either purposefully made to sound as stupid as possible to those who don’t follow or are failed writing prompts posted to the internet. A lot of recent stuff just sounds like someone trying to write a book and random people being in on it to expand the lore.
Yes some of them were made as ridiculous as possible just for the purpose to invalidate another "conspiracy theory" that actually made sense and even factually true, just by grouping the legitimate one together with these absurd fanfiction under the same blanket. It is very effective in trying to invalidate any theory/ deduction/ historical fact without even addressing the substance.

I honestly feel this way about people who go too far within a fandom. Like putting yourself so far into this fantasy world that it impedes into your every day life and determines your actions.
They try to fill the void in their lives with fantasy based scenarios but since that void is the size of a crater, the scope and severity of the stakes attached to these fantasies is a lot higher. This psychosis is further strengthened by the commradery and brotherhood that comes as a byproduct of being in a tight group of people who believe in these conspiracies. You feel like you belong and feel less crazy around people who think like you. This has been a very regular occurance in our history. People ostracized or left out on the fringes of human societies somehow always found meaning through common beliefs and banded together to keep the illusion alive.
As sad as it is, some times being in your own mind too much can trap you there. Reality becomes skewed just enough to bend it in strange ways to everyone that isn’t you.

It destroyed my life and I want to ignore it completely whenever it comes up. So scary, and I don't even know what would have happened had I stayed or really what even saved me actually.
