- My friend wanted a colorful quilt for his bed. This pattern was especially made for him. It turned out so well that we wanted to share it with you too. We want to make it in monochromatic scraps next! We made an official pattern that is for sale in our shop linked below. We included baby quilt sizes and twin in our queen sized pattern. Or, some of you can probably make it just from watching the video if you prefer. It's fairly simple and best of all, it has BONUS half square triangles. We' are filming a future video, making several baby quilts sewn together with those bonus triangles. SO MUCH FUN!

I appreciate that you don't worry about perfection. "good enough" works fior me!
Always!
Love that you incorporated scrappy blocks into the design.
You are SOOOOO fun!! As others have said, I too like your attitude. Quilting isn't brain surgery, and no one will die if the corners don't match. What a great way to use crumb blocks, and those extra little cut off HST's. You're so frugal and creative. I really appreciate you showing how you streamline and prep everything. You are such a good teacher!
Thank you so much.
It looks like Life Savers. Pretty.
I love to sew scraps together! Very relaxing and joyful. The donuts are really fun.
I totally agree!
So glad to see your demo and hear your voice I hope you are happy and enjoying all your sewing days ❤cherie

You had me at cookie sheet 😉. Or in this case donut platter!! What a great use of crumb pieces!! 🥰
The first video I saw of yours, you said “sew sew sew” and that’s what got me hooked. You sound so warm and your voice is wonderful. Love your channel 🥰
Yay! Thank you!
just downloaded the pattern. I'm glad I watched this video. I will use crumb blocks, too. I can work on them when I get bored or frustrated with another project. I like your monochromatic blocks. You make my heart so merry! I love your videos.
Have SO MUCH FUN!!

this quilt makes me so happy to look at.. I usually just sew any old scraps together. But now, I will make blocks by colors!! Thanks for the inspiration.
Wonderful!
I love this block! Scraps are my favorite, your teaching style is perfect for beginners and advance quilters🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰
Thank you so much!
I love this quilt and how you streamline everything!😊
Thank you! 😊
You are an inspiration, my friend! I also make bonus half-square triangles squares. I have only nicely saved them, so I look forward to your video on how to use them!
Wonderful!
I'm always so happy when you post a new video! This is such a neat idea for a quilt. I'll definitely be trying it!
I love it! What a beautiful quilt!
It really is!
Aaaaaand now this is on my “to do” list! I love this so much! What a great stash buster.
Yay~!! Plus it's fun!
Good Morning from a beautiful day in Florida. Thank you for this fun idea!❤
OMG! I LOVE this video. I have sooo many left over fabrics. And I didn’t know where to start to organize them. Especially theme/children because of the projects I do at church and theatre. This will make a great I spy quilt for my grandkids and I can do something with all these leftovers I don’t know what to do with !!! Thank you !!!
That sounds delightful!! (To go with the Delightful Donuts!)
Love this and your workflow is marvellous… stress-free quilting at its best - thank you. Isn’t it wonderful to have the hsts for more projects (I keep forgetting to do that), a good reminder for an after project.
Fun, bright, creative quilt. 💖
Thank you! 😊
Absolutely amazing! You’ve made my morning. Thanks for the beautiful project and the wonderful tips!
So glad!
BOTH of those triangle corners finish the block AND make smaller triangle patches with just another line of stitches 1/2 inch to the tip corner of the whole block. CUt between. Different size hsts can be used for LOTS of other quilts. Don't waste those beauties ))). This is the FIRST video I've seen that mentions this. ))) Just subscribed because of this tip. ))))
You are SEW delightful; so pleasant; so clear & easy to follow; such a joy. I can’t wait to see what you create with all of your bonus half square triangles: GENIUS🫶
Thank you so much for watching and commenting!
I see tiny squares, no triangles.
This is so colorful! Really beautiful, and you made it look easy. Thanks!
Thank you! 😊
Brilliant quilt and video tutorial, thank you for sharing with us x
Glad you enjoyed it!
What a beautiful and cheerful quilt! And a great way to use crumbs! Definitely a future project for me, I love your videos!
Wonderful!
Thank you thank you for sharing your streamline methods… you are so brave… when people watch me work at “anything” most think I am strange… productive but strange
You are so welcome!
I love your videos. You do such a good job of showing the steps in great detail. Your quilt is so fun and colorful!
Thank you so much!
This looks such a fun and relaxed pattern.
It was fun!
Love this!!! I love crumb piecing! I dont always have time, but its so nice when I do 😃. I also double sew my corners for bonus HST! So many fun ways to use them 😊 love the way you lay everything out in a way that makes sense to you. Makes sewing time so much more fun and relaxing if your project is set up and ready to go. Thanks for the video! 😃
Thank you for the kind comment.
That is an interesting quilt top and even more beautiful in part because you press with your iron as you go. You definitely got me thinking about crumb blocks because your tone on tone blocks are gorgeous! Thank you for sharing your methods (best practices) and designs.
Best wishes! -Susan
Thank you so much!
You are incredible!! So happy to find your channel, God bless you❤😊
I always appreciate your comments.
@@merrymabelmarket so so grateful with you❤🧡💜🌷🌸🌻🧵🪡❤
I love the way you sew with the organizing everything. I do not make quilts but love to make patchwork table runners, bags, cushion covers and storage bags and I have to have everything nice and organized, my brain can not cope otherwise and I would just give up.
Thank you for watching and commenting. It sounds REALLY close to quilting to me...
Your videos make me so happy!
Your comments and sharing makes me so happy!!

You are so clever to think of my questions and answer them all at once! Great work once again.❤
This was an absolute excellent tutorial. You are extremely organized and very thorough. I am new to your channel and cannot believe that I haven’t found you earlier. Great job❗️
Welcome aboard! So glad we have found each other!
Your quilt top reminds me of Lifesavers candy in mixed fruit flavors. It makes me happy to remember how good those candies are. Your quilt top is beautiful. I just Subscribed and Shared this video. You have it organized so well, it has to be fun. It was fun watching you today. Thank you. We are getting some much needed rain right now. Thank Goodness.
I agree with you. It was one of the "titles" we contemplated. Yes - it is a fun quilt to make! Thank you for sharing and subscribing.
Great! Love your videos ❤
Glad you like them!
Thanks for sharing
This was so good. Thanks! I like the concept of "close enough!"
Love it! Looks so nice. We do a similar pattern for donation at my church quilt outreach. Ours has sashing and corner stones. I really like your use of crumbs.
Sounds GREAT!
Love it.
Sooo nice!😘🥰😍😍
Hello from Australia 🌏🦘❤
Hello 😊 Thank you!
You are amazing love watch and listen to you and you don’t even show your face and your like the most Beautiful Lady 😊
Wow, thank you
I've been using my scrappy pieces making 🐔 chickens, so I'll need to either go shopping for yardage or wait several months for the scraps to build up.
I used yardage for a bunch of these donuts. Yardage can be used well!
Fun!
So this is the doughnut quilt, that means the half square triangles will make the doughnut hole quilt, right? ;)
Hmmmmmmmmmm..... ponderous!
Amei! 😍👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
Good morning!
I don't mark my fabric - I mark my sewing machine. It works great for smaller units. The large units I'll either press or draw a center line.
Yes - I tried that back in the day. I should have shown that method too. Good call!
I do the same thing when I am snowballing a corner.
Smart!
More crumb patterns , please
I love them too!
Hi, love the idea of saving those HST, how big are those?
when trimmed... 4 inches.
IF you sew the big triangle corners FIRST, will the trims be big enough for the other small corner????
Yes - you could make that work. Though - I think I would rather have the bonus triangles.
