That would be cool! Though I need to design a better way to take it down. Did not come down good from this tree. Now if you have a tree with a tall trunk, then no worries.
I think this is the key to putting them up, then, you use the light hanging tools to get them down. It takes way longer to put them up then take down. I am going to give this a shot next year because the light hanging attachment was a pain on a 20+ foot pole, in the wind, and the cold. Lol
Taking it down wasn't so good with this tree. If you have a tree with a tall trunk it will work well. The lights got caught in the tiny branches with this one. I need to come up with a removal tool for trees like this.
I do, it is here in the video of me taking them down. There were a few complications with that and this kind of tree. ua-cam.com/video/-p2HTa_M-lQ/v-deo.html
You know, someone I know asked me that. But since the lights are just around the outside of the tree, I'm pretty sure that I can just walk around it again to take it off. I'm sure that I will stand a little further away from the tree to do so, but I guess I will have to make a video on that when the time comes.
@@AroundTheHome1 Looking forward to it. I am a gal with " DIY - challenged." However, having a good instructor like you helps me from getting freaked out when something doesn't go right-and it never does at my old house!
@nel6211 I thought of that. Then I though of how many times it would take spinning it around to wrap up 500 ft of line. That would have worked, but I want to build something better then trying to hand turn the handle.
New home owner, love this idea!!! How do you get the lights down after the season? Would you have to clump up or do you just use a pile to get back down?
Great idea. I imagine the key to successfully removing them is to never remove them. They belong to the tree now
I think so too!
Wow awsome idea sir😊
Love the creativity.
Thank you! 😊
Thanks, but I need a better way of taking them down. ua-cam.com/video/-p2HTa_M-lQ/v-deo.html
Need to see what it looks like with the lights on lol.
I'm a bit of a Clark Griswold myself!!! Definitely using that
Russ, When Was The Last Time I Overdid Anything?
You need to 3d print this and market it!! Absolutely genius
That would be cool! Though I need to design a better way to take it down. Did not come down good from this tree. Now if you have a tree with a tall trunk, then no worries.
Genius love it gonna put this to good use

That might work well, I did not have a good experience taking them down. ua-cam.com/video/-p2HTa_M-lQ/v-deo.html
Hahah brilliant. I'm so going to try this. Thx.

Nice work. We may need to start building these for our install crews 🎄🙂
You should!
thanks so much
Thanks, but I need a better way of taking them down. ua-cam.com/video/-p2HTa_M-lQ/v-deo.html
Now I wanna see what the trick is to getting them down off the tree now 😅
It didn't work as well.... ua-cam.com/video/-p2HTa_M-lQ/v-deo.html
Boom 💥, done. 👍

You should produce these. I need one!
Well, getting them down needs some help. ua-cam.com/video/-p2HTa_M-lQ/v-deo.html
Do you have a video or image of what it looks light lit up at night?
I do, it is here in the video of me taking them down. There were a few complications with that and this kind of tree. ua-cam.com/video/-p2HTa_M-lQ/v-deo.html
Good idea. Nice!

Great idea buddy!!
Christmas 2022-12-13❤
That looks like a good idea but how are you going to get them out of the tree?
You know, someone I know asked me that. But since the lights are just around the outside of the tree, I'm pretty sure that I can just walk around it again to take it off. I'm sure that I will stand a little further away from the tree to do so, but I guess I will have to make a video on that when the time comes.

@@AroundTheHome1 I think you will need to stop the reel from spinning and walk around and respool the lights.
@nel6211 I thought of that. Then I though of how many times it would take spinning it around to wrap up 500 ft of line. That would have worked, but I want to build something better then trying to hand turn the handle.
@@AroundTheHome1 Then keep it simple. Just attach some type of hook to your pole and carefully lift and remove the lights. Round and round you go..
Great idea, now how do you get them down?
Good question! It didn't work so good on this tree. ua-cam.com/video/-p2HTa_M-lQ/v-deo.html
Good luck taking that down 🤷♂️🤣
You know I honestly think it will come down easily. I will make a video of that when the time comes and link it in this video.
Why didn't you show the tree lit up at night???
I think I do here in the follow up, which shows the problems with getting them down in this kind of tree. ua-cam.com/video/-p2HTa_M-lQ/v-deo.html
New home owner, love this idea!!! How do you get the lights down after the season? Would you have to clump up or do you just use a pile to get back down?
Getting them down on this tree did not go so well. ua-cam.com/video/-p2HTa_M-lQ/v-deo.html
The better question is how you going to get them down...😂
That didn't go as good. ua-cam.com/video/-p2HTa_M-lQ/v-deo.html
How you don't show the finish product , show the tree all light up at night bro
I show that in my follow up video. There are links in this video for that, but here it is as well. ua-cam.com/video/-p2HTa_M-lQ/v-deo.html
Oh he'll no lol
