I'm such a fan of Samsung Galaxy tablets that I'd rather suck it up than lose out on having it. In the big scheme of things, this rates an irritant factor of .0000000001 out of 1000. In other words, I'm not looking at the colors when I use it, so I got over it very easily.

I had previously owned the samsung tab a 10.1. I was very bummed out that dead cells was not compatible with it. So i gave my wife the 10 and went out and bought the a7..dead cells works! Very happy. Thank you for the review, made me want to get it.

Just got mine yesterday! Took a long time watching reviews for various tablets to finally get the Tab A7. Not even been a full day with it and am happy. Played Asphalt 8...WOW!! Riptide...another WOW! Those are two of my favorites. Mostly I will be browsing, reading and watching movies, but as far as I am concerned, this tablet has the BANG you want for your buck!
TRY asphalt 9. This one will remove smile from Your face. Anyway this is really good tab for full HD watching netflix and amazon prime video, especially with 4 speakers.

I’m hoping once Samsung chips get really good and they no longer need to rely on Qualcomm, they can start using year or two year old flagship chips instead of much weaker midrange or low end chips. I think this is the main reason none of these budget Android tablets are better than the iPad 8 yet, at least for me.
Had a Tab 4 for years and always happy with it but can't upgrade it beyond Android 7.0 which I need to do for things like online banking and tax. Also the battery life had declined over the years. Saw this on sale at Amazon for £169 so went for it and currently waiting for it to arrive. Glad your review confirmed my choice!
Caution with the more budgeted Tab A. No option to move apps to external SD card. I use a security camera app and record to the tablet and it has no option in the app to change the record path (Amcrest). It works great for most other things except that I have to clean the memory up constantly and occasionally have to restart the tablet.
You're right. I bought a 16gb SD card for mine, to free-off the Tabs memory. The memory is now full & the SD card has nothing on it! No way of transferring as far as I can see (only possibility is greyed out)
@@petercutting6126 go into developer settings and use force sd card as external storage,or root it and go past the restriction dumbass samsung put in place to force you to buy the 64 gig one.I am currently considering rooting it,but i'm still paying it off so i will hold on that and make do with the developer option trick.I have been able to transfer discord and other apps to it.I don't recommend rooting it if you dont know what you are doing,and if you do want to do it i recommend looking up a guide.This tablet is amazing,especially after you upgrade it to one ui 3.1,it makes it quite a bit faster than out of the box,since it comes with 2.1 out of the box,at least mine did.It's great and if Ram Plus makes its way to the tab a7 in one ui 4.0,you get more ram as well,up to 2 gigs potentially,as someone who had an s21 ultra got 4 more gigs to his 16 gigs of ram.

Just purchased a Galaxy A7 2020 model on OfferUp for a crazy good deal of $60. I got very lucky that I opened the app and see it posted seconds prior lol The seller told me he had so many messages for it by the time I grabbed the money and showed up at his place 30 min later lol Glad he held it for me, it's a great tablet for my kids. 🙌
Even closing all apps (that I wouldn't normally do) and restarting often I've just sent this back after 2 weeks. It's a great device but maybe only if you only install a few apps. It was way too laggy for me. Sometimes it even took a few seconds for the keyboard to pop up
From the reviews I watched, this tablet seems to be laggy even though it has good specs. What tablet did you go with? I want one for media consumption, and everything leads to Apple iPad
@@ijustinw came from an ipad air 4. It's a great device. I've dumped all my Apple gear and bought a S21 Ultra. Wanted a tablet to go with it for taking calls and messages on both devices like I did with iOS. iOS does that better but Android is at a point where other everyday tasks are better. Went with a WiFi Tab S7. So far it's great. By now I'm confident that it will cope with what I want from it.

I am still stumped on what the purpose of having an sd card without the ability to set up apps to transfer like the older samsung tabs. Cant extend the internal storage. Mine came with 64gb of internal plus an sd card. When you try to change location of apps(any apps), there is no choice for transfering location
Three iPad 3?. Wow!!!. I had one of those. It's was poky when new. It was the first to come out with the retina screen. Then 6 months later Show came out with the iPad 4, which the 3 should have been, which was a faster CPU and switched from that 30-pin the iPad 3 had to that new lightning connector. I have to say the iPad 3 really got slow with the latter iPad OS upgrades!!!. I ended up replacing it with an 12.9" iPad Pro second gen when I'm using right now. I did just got a Samsung Tab A 8" at Costco yesterday. It's 32 gigs and came with a 32 gig MicroSD card for $89.99. 2019 model! I needed an Android device to be able to run one app in my truck JBV1. It works fine for that, but I not a fan of Android. My iPad in 100 times better all around. But for cheap, maybe give to your kids, is a great deal. It's not really a gaming tablet either. But for what I need it for, is fine. Better than an iPad 3, maybe. I like iOS better. To each their own. Now I just need a car mount.

Have had a tab pro 10.1 for years now but the trouble is they stop supporting it, alot of apps say there not compatible with my tablet anymore. So I ended up getting the tab A7. My old tablet has a better screen resolution but this new one is not terrible. I just couldn't justify spending 800 for the higher end tablet when I don't play games or really need high power. All in all the A7 is nice but I do wish it had a higher resolution screen, even 2k would be nice.
@@dad.0 Not sure if you mentioned it as its not a huge deal with a Tablet since mostly everyone has smart phones now. But wow does the camera front and back ever suck, real potato quality. Guess its just another way they got the price down.

I have owned this tablet for several years and never ever thought it was BUDGET! I am so happy with my Tablet. It is pure entertainment, has great video, it is indeed fast enough for me. I upgraded with a big card so all my music of yester years gone by are at hand. Oh the audio is unbelievable for such a small unit. I also have cloud storage where I have many of my favorite movies. So I have instant access. I recommend this tablet but please don't tell me its budget! Thank you Samsung for such a wonderful tablet.
I bought this tablet and thought it was great at its price point until I found out that you can not transfer apps to sd card. Also Playstation remote play works and the ps4 controller works as well. But when you open the Remote play app it says that the Ps4 controller is not supported. These two things are a deal breaker for me so I am going to have to return it.

@@RoseCadenza Yes it is. If you want to flip the pages I’ve seen Bluetooth pedals that can achieve that. I rarely need to zoom in for parts unless I’m practicing. The screen quality is great. I’ve ran FL studio mobile on this tablet and it works fine.
@@RoseCadenza depending on what apps you use, it can work really well to. MuseScore and irealpro look really good on this. I use mobile sheets pro for all my pdf files.

Got mine yesterday before I saw this video with a case mine was just under $500AU great sound with the speakers I think the camera could be a bit better but its good. Very good buy just got to work out how to transfer my games from my mobile to my tablet
I purchased the tab a7 after seeing this review a couple of months ago. I love it, however I downloaded an Amazon return label and discovered there was no app able to open the file to send to my printer? Technically challenged here! What do I do? KB
@@dad.0 it's a Canon tr4520, just the cheapest POS out there. The problem is not with the printer but with the lack of default program to open a pdf file/document in the tab a7 . Like I said, technically challenged here. Appears to be a lot of apps on play store, but how do I make them work as default?
@@kenbrown5217 give this a try.... open up the Settings app, then choose Apps & notifications, then Advanced, then Default apps. All the available categories, like browser and SMS, are listed.

My 12 yr old brother has a Samsung tablet A7 lite. It was a good idea because It had a small price tag and it was a better alternative to a Lenovo tablet.
Hi, you should add that this tablet has a problem with transfering apps to sdcard. It is impossible for lot ’s of people. SAMSUNG is not able to give solution. Without added memory with sévère user, it is quickly saturated.
This tablet does not let you put apps on the ad card. So if you get 32gb model you will get around 28 available storage and that's it. If you put a sd card you can not put any apps on it .
very good tablet for the money! Overall very recommendable! What I don't like is the very slippery surface of the display.. when I want to tap precisely, most of the time my finger slips away.. I guess Samsung meant it too well here..

Though there are a couple of red flags with this one, lack of ability to move apps to SD card, or a limited ability to move apps to SD not sure if that applies to all versions of this gold one or just the 32gig version.

This tab has issue with Google Meet. It doesn't show RAISE HAND Option..

I bought this because I needed something to read sheet music. Big upgrade coming from a 7 inch tablet.
Is it good for reading sheet music? I've been considering in getting one of these. I tried to look for musicians doing a review on this tablet, but I haven't seen anything about musicians reviewing it.
@@RoseCadenza Yes it is. If you want to flip the pages I’ve seen Bluetooth pedals that can achieve that. I rarely need to zoom in for parts unless I’m practicing. The screen quality is great. I’ve ran FL studio mobile on this tablet and it works fine.

@@RoseCadenza depending on what apps you use, it can work really well to. MuseScore and irealpro look really good on this. I use mobile sheets pro for all my pdf files.
@@outdatedgear5036 Ah okay. I've used MuseScore for my laptop. For viewing scores, do you need to pay for Musescore? I was also looking at another program that's called flat.io that looks pretty good too.
Got mine yesterday before I saw this video with a case mine was just under $500AU great sound with the speakers I think the camera could be a bit better but its good. Very good buy just got to work out how to transfer my games from my mobile to my tablet

I purchased the tab a7 after seeing this review a couple of months ago. I love it, however I downloaded an Amazon return label and discovered there was no app able to open the file to send to my printer? Technically challenged here! What do I do? KB
What’s the make and model of your printer?
@@dad.0 it's a Canon tr4520, just the cheapest POS out there. The problem is not with the printer but with the lack of default program to open a pdf file/document in the tab a7 . Like I said, technically challenged here. Appears to be a lot of apps on play store, but how do I make them work as default?
@@kenbrown5217 give this a try.... open up the Settings app, then choose Apps & notifications, then Advanced, then Default apps. All the available categories, like browser and SMS, are listed.
@@dad.0 well dad.o, I appreciate your help but I don't see anything exactly like what you're describing on my tab a7 settings menu. I have shared the file to my wife's email and will send it to myself to see if I can then print it. Never had a problem with tab a4.
My 12 yr old brother has a Samsung tablet A7 lite. It was a good idea because It had a small price tag and it was a better alternative to a Lenovo tablet.

Hi, you should add that this tablet has a problem with transfering apps to sdcard. It is impossible for lot ’s of people. SAMSUNG is not able to give solution. Without added memory with sévère user, it is quickly saturated.

The older Tab A has a Camera Flask but these recent Tablets don't!?
I have it and its really ok .. only battery life is quite short to me.
Loved mine until a password glitch made it unusable. Nothing I did allowed me back in. Samsung doesn't care.
This tablet does not let you put apps on the ad card. So if you get 32gb model you will get around 28 available storage and that's it. If you put a sd card you can not put any apps on it .

IMO the A7 but both will work well
very good tablet for the money! Overall very recommendable! What I don't like is the very slippery surface of the display.. when I want to tap precisely, most of the time my finger slips away.. I guess Samsung meant it too well here..

Mine refuses to close video streaming apps like Spectrum and UA-cam without 4 or 5 taps.Some kind of glitch maybe.My old Tab A doesn't do that.

No there is a way to do it believe it or not. LG tablets had the same problem. You have to go to Developer Mode and select “Force Apps to External”.

it's not a very powerful cpu. better off buying the base level ipad which actually is good value for the cpu power. genshin impact will fly on that.
