In addition to this, the IPad has had trouble recognising my external harddrive so backing up can be a pain. I don't want to rely on cloud storage and I can't exactly just connect the IPad Pro to my Windows PC and drag files onto the device. I also found some bizarre downgrades when changing from iPad Pro 10.5 to IPad Pro 11 (1st Gen) such as split keyboard being removed entirely. I only realised when checking the small print on Apple's website that they've removed split keyboard with the newer models. This makes typing on the IPad much more difficult. I also found that a few games didn't scale to the 11" size and added huge borders. I was surprised that not all apps had been optimised for the 11" size as we're now on the second gen. Great review! Unbiased is always best. Now, let's talk about your camera quality. While 1440P video is always welcomed, it's a mute point when you have grainy video. This was written on my Samsung Tab S7+. JK, but really, great review!
Best tablet ever so far! I own the 11" S7 and this thing is a beautiful and powerful beast! Best multitasking tab by far. And the S7 isn't incredibly overpriced at $750+ like other tablets. It's at $550 and comes with the pencil.

@@vincentprimomonte7722 1 year and 1 month with it and I love it! Best tablet ever. I don't use it for school or notes, mainly for entertainment and multitasking. If you can find the 8GB/256GB for $500 or less, it's a steal! But you can also wait for the Tab S8, which will be released soon and will be even better.
Specially like that bottom navigation bar, pretty little multitasking thing. Everything at the bottom for easier control even the status bar info is there, nice.

I'm actually planning to get both the devices. Pre-ordered the iPad Pro (11 inch) 2021 so I got it early in my country (India). At the same time, while I'm heavily invested in the Apple Ecosystem, I love the freedom that Android brings. And there's a sale going on for the Tab S7 series - I think I'll pick up the base model of the S7+ without the book cover. The only reason I bought the iPad Pro over the S7+ was the lack of proper tablet optimized apps on Android. Also, my last Android tablet from Samsung, the Note 10.1 while being excellent, was as usual neglected by Samsung in the updates department. Hopefully, since they've committed to 3 years of software updates - they will continue to work on and refine the experience for Tab S7 users.
I hope that Samsung realizes that they almost have a monopoly on the android tablet space, just like apple does with their iPads, and make the galaxy tabs a priority. I know a lot of people with android phones, but buy iPads as they think it’s the “best” tablet. If Samsung keeps up the effort with their galaxy tab line, I think they could capture a large market share of the tablet space. The iPads are just kinda boring at this point, and the galaxy tab seems like something more new and exciting.
Ok, this made me want to buy it over the iPad Pro. This entire time i thought you could only access dex via the button on the keyboard. For the purpose that i’ll use it in, it’ll be more than useful
Great video! Just so you know the pen does magnetically stick to the top when you have it horizontally. It doesn't charge but it's not an active pen so it's only the button that this affects I believe
It's quite a hard decision. I really like the screen size more on the iPad Pro, plus the display is just more accurate. But it is precisely that vibrant AMOLED display on the Samsung together with the better speakers what makes it just superior for media content.
Its a tough decision but you can't go wrong... I love them both

My OnePlus 8T has 12GB ram and 256 rom. I would want my tablet to be at least as good or better than my phone! This tablet has only 6gb ram which is less than my OnePlus 7T from last year which had 8.
Tablets tend to have lower spec than phones.. unless you are talking about Apple.. they use the same chips A14 Bionic in the iPad and iPhones most Android Tablets dun use the 800 series snap dragon other than S7 and S7+.. most are merely Snapdragon 660 or even 425 for lower end budget models.
Even if it has 48gb ram, it doesnt matter. You wont notice any difference. If 6gb wasnt enough, samsung would add some more, as ram is cheap.

I edit videos on my phone. I do notice the difference for sure when I'm rendering on motion ninja and on Kinemaster. Like I said, I would like a tablet that had just as good of specs. Its really pathetic that they aren't doing that.

Something this guy apparently didn't realize is that you can put the s pen on either side of the tablet and it will magnetically attach there as well it just won't charge like it does on the back but it will attach to the sides just like the iPad pro

You are doing a great review here 👍🏾👌🏾. This tablet is very good and I like it. I bought one and I did a complete review covering everything on my channel.
Great review. I just ordered this earlier this week and it arrives Sunday for pick up. This will be my very first tablet ever! I have a Macbook Pro and an LG G8 (Android phone). I originally was looking perhaps to get a windows tablet or convertible. I personally do not like being locked into any ecosystem as I like to be well versed in different systems. After much research and back and forth I thought for now the S7+ fit my needs best. If in the future then I would go for a Windows convertible laptop one of which I want but do not have the money to get. Also hopefully to wait if a few particular models I like will be updated. I even thought about the iPad Pro at one time, but still what won me out for the Samsung is the DEX and as always my main gripe about Apple mobile devices is their push for users not to have expandable memory on the device yet charge outrageous prices and then to get more space one HAS to have to use the cloud as a necessity. Many other factors - the Price, and also I was able to find the Mystic Navy 256 (though wanted the 512) but then just ordered the 512 gb microsd card with it. The colors and all the many different features and to be able to expand the usage of apps that I have on my phone and plug into a monitor. So looking forward to it. Thanks again for a great review with your editing and great clear sound and cadence....and new subscriber here!
@@dad.0 Very welcome! Yes I feel I will greatly enjoy it. I always do lots of research and learn the ins and outs of a product and this like when I do on other electronics it fits for what works for me in the now and future. Best to you - to each day and moment. Keep shining forth!
Great review ! Useful and you give your own opinion. About de size, what do you think about using the s7 + to take note in portrait mode and annotate pdf ? Ty
I noticed the black bars were rather big when you showed Netflix playing. Does it always have that much screen space wasted when watching content? Do UA-cam videos take up most of the screen, or do we have big black bars with that too? Thank you so much.
I recently traded in a Tab S4 and got $400 for it from Samsung for a brand new Tab S7 Plus with 8 GB of RAM and 256 GB SSD. The Tab S4 came from eBay which I got for $175 shipped. With the trade in the final price was like $500 total for the Mystic Navy version. That's one hell of a deal... The Tab S7 Plus is REALLY awesome! VERY impressive. The S-pen and it's low latency is spectacular. The super-amoled screen at 120 mHz is hard to tie, let alone beat... Got the keyboard for $129... Saw a lot of positive reviews on UA-cam and was excited to get one... I was let down. Overrated... Not great. No backlighting makes it a major fail... Trackpad blows too... The pen flap and magnets are its only redeeming qualities... Sent it back. Picked up the Samsung Mystic Navy Bookcover and it's really exactly what I need... Thin and light... NICE! Looking for a Bluetooth Backlit keyboard that will fit my needs now...
Hi Boss, does your table heat up at the home button area? Like i was just using it for watching a UA-cam video.. no other app was running, 60hz setting, on dark mode, brightness at mid. 🤷🏻♀️ Is it just because, it's at its learning phase? Learning my pattern of usage? Just had it for about 2 weeks?
Its confusing me that you said the Battery life is not as good as the iPad Pro, because very many people are saying the s7+ has better battery. Now I just dont know what to believe. In upset because the final deciding factor for me is the battery.
Question.. Ive been using microsoft surface pro. The only thing I didnt like about it is that the tablet gets warm when your are using it with onenote.. Does samsing gets warm when you are using it for a long period of time writing or just when you have the samsung note open?
this tablet was my first android try and gosh...all is better to me i android... just discovered that ios was basically android 3 years late... this tablet rocks. i bought the ”small” one wich is the same but smaller and the screen is not led but lcd... frankly u don’t care. i prefer this size and this one has a better battery life than the ipad, just for the info. do ’t need the keyblard’ blught the samsung case... 570 euros, gray market. i did before a estimation of the ipad pro for my need, was 1500, 1800plus the keyhoard. so 1500 the equivalent. isn’t that funny ? just some apps u don’t find. u find others. the hest photo app for tabs abd phones is snapseed, made by google...bye apple. (android has so many options’ tips and tricks’ being able to’navigate ur file is so cool’ u can read mkv from torrents u downoad directly o the tablet etc etc etc unbeatable, frankly)
I returned mine. Why? Apps that should be in horizontal mode are not. Also, I tried Kinchen impact and the sound skips. The only way to stop this is to run the screen recorder and then put the screen recorder in pause mode to play the game. There’s a small examples, but there are little problems that creep in due to the quality of the software. The hardware is nice. Still, I went back.
Great review! Q: I will be dedicating next year's to an exclusively online university which means following video lessons while reading simultaneously. How is the Audio quality and volume level? Could I open a multi task small browser together with a bigger PDF reader, for example? Thanks bro!
How about doing a video showing us how we can text and call on our S7 tablet and sync our android phone together to do the same !! Theres NO videos out there doing it !!
Hi, love your contents, i was wondering if you would consider the tab s7+ or iPad pro 2021 for the longevity. i am in the market for a laptop replacement and would like to buy either tab s7+ or iPad pro 2021 for long term around 8 years, do you think tab s7+ is better value for money or is it worth spending that extra $600 dollars getting the iPad pro 2021. cheers
Geekbench score should never be the selling point. The S7 can do so much more than the Ipad Pro and you can barely tell the performance differences. Ipad OS is too far behind on features to actually consider as a laptop its more of a chrome book replacement lol
I use both iOS and Android. The benefit of the ipad over the S7+ is the apps and stability of the iOS environment. You won't find an Android equivalent of Lumafusion, which is an excellent video editing app. Powerdirector doesn't come close, does it?
Still confused about battery life comparisons: some say iPad gets the edge and some say S7.. which is it? some really negative reviews about S7 plus and it's battery staying power and life expectancy
I'm deciding to either buy ipad pro 12.9 or Samsung s7+. My question is which one will last me more than 6 years at least? As I'm tired always buying new tablet every few years. I'm mostly will be doing office work with some side entertainment. As a Samsung user for years, AMOLED screen and the unlimited probability in apps is something that I'm very familiar with, so I'm not surprise with your review. Though everytime I bought Samsung tablet, it only last me maximum 3 until 4 years and 5 years is just pushing it, the tablet is still there and running smoothly, but I couldn't use it anymore for my needs. Meanwhile my friend still work with their 2014 ipad and it still updated the OS to keep up with them. It's why I'm leaning more towards the ipad, but I don't know. I hope someone can help me decide. Thanks
@@dad.0 I see... Maybe I will try this ipad pro. Since I'm a very mobile person, a laptop is a hindrance for me most of the time, I'm just using my laptop at home, even in office I mostly use tablet. So longevity in software is kind of a must, at least for another 5 or 6 years. Since from my experience, every 3 or 4 years, they usually don't have a leap that really worth upgrading for, it just that we must upgrade it to keep up with our needs. Thank you for answering by the way :)

Excellent review, thank you for sharing. Myself, I have been in Apple's system for just under twenty years. At present my daily driver is Samsung Note 20 my first Android anything, wow it is amazing. The Note 20 is why I am interested in a Samsung's tablet.
Love those who are willing to step out and try other things. Love Apple but I have to admit that Samsung does a lot of things right with their phones and tablets
@@dad.0 Happy New Year! Thank you for your polite reply. Very much I appreciate you not including background music. Too many UA-cam content creators think it important for music over their voices. They forget viewers come to hear them not music, background music makes it especially difficult for viewers with hearing issues. Keep up the good work.
I’m thinking of leaving the Apple ecosystem. If they move forward with scanning photos on iPhones with the iOS 15 update I will leave. Total invasion of privacy.
Be very careful with it. For me the tablet fell closed to the keyboard by accident and the screen cracked. Sent to samsung repair 12/23/2020 and still there to date 🙄
I kinda have to say Geekbench scores are not as great of a test vs real world. because you're not pushing the system hard for a large extended load time. Score testing is more so in a short case. But most time I wouldn't see tablets being as throttled hard, as Phones do being in a smaller form factor. But even though apple has faster specs in a small case. It's already been proven their phones suck in long term performance runs in real world testing.
Best tablet: s7+. Best keyboard: Magic keyboard for ipad pro. If you are OCD over keyboards then go with the Ipad. Otherwise, s7+ is the best tablet out right now.
You know what I'd like, I want to see a reviewer actually read comics on the this tablet. I mean using Comixology or something similar. I use my tablets predominantly for reading comics. And I am still looking for the perfect size so that I don't need to resize whilst reading. I know first world problems. But it's just something I wish reviewers would actually spend like 20 seconds on.
Honestly for comics, I think the iPad has the best aspect ratio. There's less black borders and it feels a lot less weird holding it in portrait mode. For landscape mode Android is obviously longer in length. The text is smaller, but still readable (from experience on Galaxy Tab S7+). I found Chunky on iPad OS is the best app I've used as you can even connect your cloud storage and choose to download what you want to read immediately. On the Surface Pro I used Cover from the Windows store, that was pretty good but my touchscreens topped working altogether. Android has less good options. I use Perfect Viewer, but Moon + Reader is also reasonable. Perfect Viewer is entirely free but it's a bit ugly and it can be buggy at times. It does its job. I personally think 10" or bigger is the best size for reading. For the experience closest to reading an actual comic, I think I would have to recommend the iPad.
What Dominique said. If you're interested in reading comics or books on it then the iPad is better for you. It has the better aspect ratio if your primary use will be in portrait mode. The Tab S7+ is just too long vertically to use comfortably when holding it vertically. Typed that on my Galaxy Tab S7+, and I'm pretty much an Android fanboy (as I dislike Apple as a company). So no Apple bias here when I say that the iPad is better for you between the two. You could look at the Fire tablets too, though. That might be another option for you.
Literally the same, but the screens. The S7 is LCD and the S7+ is AMOLED. I have the 11" S7 and this is the best tablet ever! I love it so much. I would recommend it over the overpriced iPad Pros any day.
Sold my ipad pro 12.9 with magic keyboard for the Tab S7+ with keyboard. Features I truly love? The Super AMOLED screen is freaking gorgeous, UA-cam playing in PIP, true multitasking, tons of options, and an actual file explorer. The limitations of iOS is still just frustrating.
Bro. My requirement is web browsing, spreadsheet work, documentation and a little bit of video and audio editing.. what should i buy?.. laptop or tablet..
The big question is... are the programs you use to do all those things available on a tablet? Otherwise, you will have to find a new workflow which my be a hassle
For me, if you're going to use a tablet for multimedia and some slight work, better option is the Tab S7 The Tab S7+ is great for a person more focus in using it for work Don't let the LCD of the S7 hold you back, it is a great screen, more than enough...
I can't believe that the reason I'm not going to buy the S7+ comes down to how annoyed that I think I would be about it not lying flat because of where the pen is stored.
It stores on the side as well. Not sure why he failed to mention that in such a thorough review. And the book cover case (not the keyboard case) has a spot for it, too.
Anyone that has used both the iPad Pro and the Tab S7+... which do you prefer?
The review is about the S7+ then why does is say S7 in the video title?

I’m in the Apple ecosystem and thought I’d be biased but no. I favor my galaxy over my iPad, especially whilst hooked up to a monitor on dex!
Couldn’t agree more!
I really like how open minded you are and your work on this video
For sure one of the best I've seen so far
Keep up the good work bro💙
I appreciate that!
Great review! Unbiased is always best. Now, let's talk about your camera quality. While 1440P video is always welcomed, it's a mute point when you have grainy video. This was written on my Samsung Tab S7+. JK, but really, great review!
Thanks! I know, that export got messed up a bit and got a bit grainy at parts. You live, you learn
Great review from someone who had an iPad for 10 years. Cheers!
Thanks for watching!
Great review. I guess I saw the intro for hillbilly elegy on your tab. I just saw the movie on Netflix on Tab S7, it looks gorgeous. 😀
Hope you enjoy it!

Best tablet ever so far! I own the 11" S7 and this thing is a beautiful and powerful beast! Best multitasking tab by far. And the S7 isn't incredibly overpriced at $750+ like other tablets. It's at $550 and comes with the pencil.
Agreed
Hello i would just like to ask. Its already been 9 months since you posted this comment. How's the S7 so far? Im plannting to buy for college. Im still doubting whether to get an Ipad pro 11" or an S7
@@vincentprimomonte7722 1 year and 1 month with it and I love it! Best tablet ever. I don't use it for school or notes, mainly for entertainment and multitasking. The multitasking is the best on any tablet and I'm sure it would be great for anyone in college. I just prefer the freedom on Android Tabs than the limited iPadOS.

I really would like to buy this but already have an iPad Pro but would still like the tabs7 plus

Glad it helps!
Great video! Just so you know the pen does magnetically stick to the top when you have it horizontally. It doesn't charge but it's not an active pen so it's only the button that this affects I believe
Thanks for the info!
Honestly, I run out of 128 gbs really quickly. Its nice I have a phone with 256 but I want to get 512 or higher and have 5G.
You would be paying waaaay more than a phone then. Tablets are huge
Something this guy apparently didn't realize is that you can put the s pen on either side of the tablet and it will magnetically attach there as well it just won't charge like it does on the back but it will attach to the sides just like the iPad pro
funny enough, I was going to mention it but I ended up cutting it out to keep the video short. Thanks for pointing that out!

Thanks for the sub and the compliment! I am the same, I don't like being strapped to an ecosystem. hope you like the tablet!

Great review ! Useful and you give your own opinion. About de size, what do you think about using the s7 + to take note in portrait mode and annotate pdf ? Ty
I think so. It’s the perfect size for both landscape and portrait in my opinion. Thanks!
I noticed the black bars were rather big when you showed Netflix playing. Does it always have that much screen space wasted when watching content? Do UA-cam videos take up most of the screen, or do we have big black bars with that too? Thank you so much.
Are the apps on the screen bad as heard that they look better on the ipad. Thanks
Awesome stuff! Thanks for commenting
Hi Boss, does your table heat up at the home button area? Like i was just using it for watching a UA-cam video.. no other app was running, 60hz setting, on dark mode, brightness at mid. 🤷🏻♀️
Is it just because, it's at its learning phase? Learning my pattern of usage? Just had it for about 2 weeks?
I have both tablets as well and I'm liking the Tab S7 Plus more than my iPad Pro too.

Its confusing me that you said the Battery life is not as good as the iPad Pro, because very many people are saying the s7+ has better battery. Now I just dont know what to believe. In upset because the final deciding factor for me is the battery.
Battery life is very subjective. So many factors go into play so it is tough to compare apples to apples
What android tablets need is full desktop browsers, either firefox/chromium based + the regular addon support.

(android has so many options’ tips and tricks’ being able to’navigate ur file is so cool’ u can read mkv from torrents u downoad directly o the tablet etc etc etc unbeatable, frankly)
Glad you’re liking it!
Which do you think is best for drawing and design work?
Really just depends on if you prefer iOS or Android and which pen design you like the best
Android struggles to optimize apps for tablets

I use both iOS and Android. The benefit of the ipad over the S7+ is the apps and stability of the iOS environment. You won't find an Android equivalent of Lumafusion, which is an excellent video editing app. Powerdirector doesn't come close, does it?
no it doesn't. agreed that app stability is better on iPadOS
Still confused about battery life comparisons: some say iPad gets the edge and some say S7.. which is it? some really negative reviews about S7 plus and it's battery staying power and life expectancy
it really depends how you use them. Both have overall great battery life
I'm deciding to either buy ipad pro 12.9 or Samsung s7+. Thanks
6 years is a lot for any device these days. I’d tend to say the iPads have more longevity.
When you are using geekbench score to judge how powerful iPad is, what about antutu benchmark does that meaning less
Scores are great but I typically judge performance using normal tasks
I kinda have to say Geekbench scores are not as great of a test vs real world. because you're not pushing the system hard for a large extended load time. Score testing is more so in a short case.
But most time I wouldn't see tablets being as throttled hard, as Phones do being in a smaller form factor. But even though apple has faster specs in a small case. It's already been proven their phones suck in long term performance runs in real world testing.
@@KillerRaptorr I agree, a real-world test is more important IMO

You know what I'd like, I want to see a reviewer actually read comics on the this tablet. I mean using Comixology or something similar. I use my tablets predominantly for reading comics. And I am still looking for the perfect size so that I don't need to resize whilst reading. I know first world problems. But it's just something I wish reviewers would actually spend like 20 seconds on.
Thanks for the input! Always love to hear what people want to see in reviews
Is the tab S7 same as the plus version except for the size? Or the S7+ has some unique features other than regular S7?
Literally the same, but the screens. The S7 is LCD and the S7+ is AMOLED.
I have the 11" S7 and this is the best tablet ever! I love it so much. I would recommend it over the overpriced iPad Pros any day.
The S7+ has on screen fingerprint and the S7 doesn't tho. But no big deal or deal breaker. I prefer it in the power button.
