Not copium but CO2 instead as this is a Ubisoft game and considering how bad of a reputation they had, I'll be super worried if I were you.
A good one came out on 2019 and the (likely good) sequel will be out in 3 months.

The best open world Star Wars game will be released this year.
Even if Starfield ends up sucking, having an engine that supports planet hopping and flying vehicles with a massive modding community will mean that there will be endless SW mods and possibly even full on game transformations. There are SW overhaul mods for Morrowind and New Vegas, so imagine how much greater they could be on a 2023 engine with most hard features built in.

It’s crazy to think about. To see the impact a game like Skyrim made by Bethesda, Star Wars and Disney should have all the opportunity to make an entirely immersive open world. We can be getting so much more, but just haven’t gotten it IMO. Surely a thing to watch for in projects going forward.

My dream Star Wars game is being a Bounty Hunter given a bounty to capture/kill the Jedi Quinlan Vos.
Imagine an Guardians Of The Galaxy type game where you fly around in you space ship to different planets tracking his tracks and interrogating people who might have seen him, doing side quests for other bounties

They have been working on it for 5 years at least. The game was initially just a straight up NMS clone called Pioneer, but they repurposed it for SW.. Meaning the technology was already created.

If this game does come out, I hope that they set it during the clone wars, I hope we can explore planets like coruscant, naboo, and even obscure worlds like Pantora, dathomir, raxus prime, onderon etc also I hope when it comes to character customization I want it to be able to choose what class of person in the galaxy you are like jedi, smuggler, bounty hunter etc and also be able to choose your own species and clothes you wear, obviously people's view on this may be different from mine but this is my ideal idea of a open world star wars game I'd love to hear anyone else's ideas if anyone decides to reply, if you've gotten this far, thank you so much and goodnight

It would be awesome to be able to make a Mandalorian character. But if not i'd play it either way. I hope it will be around the Empire era, but clone wars is also cool!

Star Wars Galaxies was so ahead of it's time man.
SWG 2 - fully customizable aliens, different professions, Jedi/Sith with force abilities, and BF space/ground matches for planetary control. Set the timeline 1000 years after Mary Sue Skywalker and I would be very happy with the game.

Does anyone remember a couple of years ago, maybe 3/4 when news surfaced of an in the works Open world SW game who’s studio got shut down and all IP taken with it.. this is that game. Its been in development for a very long time.
Bro! I REALLY wish we got Star Wars games on other types of character abilities. Like a Sith game or a bounty hunter with a Jetpack game!. The Jedi are extremely boring to me. It's one of the reasons I haven't been enjoying Star Wars as much recently. A game where you go down the Dark Side while playing as a Sith sounds Incredibly badass to me!.
Yeah, I read a little about the new Star Wars game. It is an open world star wars game. I also read that it was canceled. Don't expect a new battlefront type game.

What's exciting to me the simple fact they mentioned No Man's Sky and how there's so many Galaxies to travel to now Massive wants to do for a Star Wars game and Massive's work on The Division and Avatar. Now imaging what an open-world Star Wars game with your own ship and exploring whole planets with plenty of things to do. Fighting foes and creatures plus everything nice a dirty in Star Wars i love it!! 😆👏🏽💯💖

If this does start to become a real game, I just really hope they focus a lot on simulating what it's like to be a Jedi or a sith. I don't want this game to be a bounty hunter sim or anything. Games like Fallen Order and Unleashed only do so much when It comes to immersing yourself as a force-wielder. And I feel like the remake of KOTOR will be too JRPG-ish for that game to count either.
I want a first person, Skyrim-like game with real-time dialogue of cyberpunk, with combat that transitions to third-person Soulslike/God of War/DMC combat. With seamless ground-to-space.
I think the KOTOR remake will be exactly as you described and that this open world game will be a bounty hunter game. Seems more logical.
I think that it might be online multiplayer or at least have multiplayer because they recently have on the job list for the game a person who is needed to make fair prices for micro transactions for cosmetics in game. What I think is why would you pay for cosmetics if it was only single player because who are you going to show it off to? Also it would be to good of a chance to miss having it as online multiplayer or at least some kind of multiplayer
Well as with all Star Wars games we have to be careful. Star Wars 1313 never done, the Darth Maul game never released, battlefront 3 never released (only Elite Squadron), end of Star Wars Galaxy, the end of the Force Unleashed games prove that all can change very fast.

The problem with star wars open world games is everybody wants to be a jedi....they either have to make other classes just as good and enticing as jedi or make the jedi weak or very hard to be a jedi.
After mandalorian we won’t have this problem, everyone now wants to be a bounty hunter
I wanna be a Sith… nah but this isn’t inherently a problem. Open world RPG where you grow from no name Padawan to Jedi Master / Sith Lord while choosing which missions to do and what planets to explore would be sick.

Okay so this video and the rumours have me worried about 2 things. The first thing I’m worried about is if the open world is like no man’s sky i really hope it isn’t super bland and boring. Like I hope there is a lot of detail and activities to do on each planet. And the second thing I’m worried about is the character customization. I love how they could be doing that but I’m worried that’ll somehow affect the story in a bad way. Take red dead redemption for example. Rockstar worked SO hard on Arthur bc that’s who everyone played as. So with all of the customization i really hope there is a lot of detail for each player’s character. Hope that makes sense and if you made it this far in the comment thank you for reading my essay 😂😂

I Just Hope Game has Fully Controllable Pilotable Vehicles Space crafts to Land Vehicles to Rideable Beast Creature mounts to traverse Open World 🌎 With Next-GEN Technology game mechanics it Should be possible.
I Don't expect an Actually release though until most likely fall 2024 Or most likely fall 2025.
Idea of Game I'd definitely like to see would be set in Original empire Era trilogy as Bounty Hunter even a actual Mandalorian grogu idea / Boba fett idea Or Even Rebal Rouge One type style Squad in whole new story adventure.

The Other idea I'd Like is Clone wars, Jedi / clones squad setting with Controllable Pilotable Vehicle's etc for either of the chosen Era by Ubisoft massive entertainment.

I just really hope it doesn't follow ubisofts typical open world formula, and they try something new with this game.
They do have a reputation of making a huge-scale map with not much in it, so I really hope they iron out their open world design
and blow this one out of the park because a star wars game like this is one I've been dreaming of since I was a kid, just a little nervous
that its ubisoft pushing it out. But I still want to look on the bright side and hope this game turns out to be everything we've dreamed it would be!

This will be a massive game. I would be happy if it was a game that took place during the imperial era or during the new republic era but I think imperial would be better. It’d be fun to be a bounty hunter, pirate, or smuggler.

being like no mans sky doesnt mean it has to be as big as no mans sky, which is where you're getting super excited about, at least thats what it sounds like as you react to it... it could just mean you could just travel without cut scene from planet to planet within a much much smaller scale than no mans sky. Obviously there won't be oxygen needed as star wars has no oxygen lacking planets. So that part of no mans sky wont exist. Just alot of things won't exist from no mans sky... i think only one or two big parts of no mans sky will be showing elements in this title. What they are? nobody knows yet.

I'd be more excited if it wasn't an ubisoft game. They're all the same with a splash of paint.
Of course a captivating story about diversity and inclusion and a cast of characters that are inclusive and diverse and as interesting as can be yes Ubisoft we get it. Don't forget the micro transactions for the sparkling rainbow tie fighter and the stormtrooper armor set with mouse ears, a tail, and hand slap baton!!!
