  • What I acquired at the Falkirk Model Railway Club Exhibition and a quick overhaul of the Bachmann Class 170 DMU
Apologies for referring to this as Class 150. It cost £150. Affected my brain...

  • @claptnei

Your layout is looking excellent. Keep the videos coming.

  • @ModelRailwayShed

Very nice DMU Bill and now running perfectly 👍

  • @granddadtony

Yet another fine video Bill, explaining the value of an ammeter in analysis of cleaning a preowned loco. Experience like you have relating to electrical contact is something of which many of us are quite envious!!!

Hi bill another excellent video, my Bachman Ivatt is running great

Ian a great chap from thejunctionbox, had a lot from him in the past

In 2012 we took a trip across the Forth Bridge to North Queensferry and return. Had the 158 across and a 170 back.

  • @pferry3022

It is a Bachmann Class 170 not Class 150 which is a later model DMU

The culvert is already looking good even before the rest of the scenery is built. Looking forward to seeing how you get on with that. Perhaps some fir trees along the hillsides?

    Layout looks great😊😊

I didn't see you at Falkirk on Saturday but glad you enjoyed the show. Lovely 170 you purchased. I managed to get a couple of Gresley Teak coaches.

  • @daviemaclean61

A very enjoyable show. I was there on Sunday when it was a bit quieter by all accounts. Made some small purchases, but nothing as expensive as your DMU!

  • @stephendavies6949

That DMU looks the part, as does the IC125 with its longer rake of coaches. Now you've got the long straights it would be a pity not to use them! You're getting some excellent footage. The 3 running lines look fabulous.

  • @Bassetvids

Thank you for youe videos . Really enjoy them

  • @piers995

    Lovely little running session.

  • @brysonwilson4578

Bill, very nice to have met you at Falkirk, I spoke to you concerning an old Hornby 9f, please could you let us know where you got your ammeters from

  • @blue2sco

    Nice pairing of DMU's

  • @russellbenton2987

Interesting . It’s never dawned on me to put magnetic couplings on my 170 . Got the Nat Ex and First ones . Never got the spotrail one which I regret now , because they now cost a fortune second hand. Good video . Must check mine for drag .

I want more of the dog 😀

Very nice purchase bill picked up a Bachmann class 166 turbo star in nse livery had the same issues sorted it out with a good clean and service, one thing to note if you run it for a while the body of the power car may heat up a little no matter what you do they still create quite a bit of drag 👍
