I was at this show and it was one of the best live performances I’ve ever seen by any band. I was pretty lit up and was playing air guitar along with the songs for over half the show. I looked beside me at one point and some girl I didn’t know started shredding some air guitar with me. Such a good time! RIP Froberg

I intended to write a few comments throughout this video but forgot to do so. Here are some of those I can remember anyway... 1. I'm 38 years old and I only discovered DLJ a month ago ; I feel like I've been cheated of a part of my youth. 2. I like my bass player to look like my weird uncle3. this version of Luau4. Thanks OP for capturing this gig. And doing it really well.
Admission #1: it's 6pm and i'm completely sober Admission #2: I'm headbanging and randomly yelling out of excitement on my computer right now. SO FUCKING GOOD!
I don't know if I've ever seen an "old" band sound just as good as they used to as this video shows. of course the guys are a bit older but I'll be damned if they don't sound as good as ever here holy shit
Since I just saw Hot Snakes in San Diego a couple weeks ago, I'm revisting all the John Reis/Rick Froberg bands...started with Pitchfork, now onto Drive Like Jehu. I would have lost my shit at 57:00 when "Do You Compute" starts. Thx for posting this Human Clock.
The guitarist and singer/guitarist of DriveLike Jehu just signed their other band Hot Snakes to SUBPOP, who will reissue their entire catalog because SUBPOP diggz the albums so much + a fall tour +new album in 2018!
oh hell yeah, Harry Dean Stanton walking the desert in "Paris, TX" on the back wall ... I hope that doesn't get changed before I get a chance to stop by ... 7 years late.
Thanks! I was having a hard time getting up front, but then spotted a friend right in front of John, so I shoved my way up there and crouched down in front for the last two songs.
The only down side to positioning yourself right in front of John is that you lost the more balanced sound mix from your original filming spot. Still, great footage. Thanks!
Yeah he is ! His histrionics during “ If It Kills You “ are just pure 🔥One of the best /most original guitar players on earth . Been listening since ‘94.
I'm to young to go to either of their gigs that day, so I stood on the sidewalk next to the outdoor one and looked over the fence. Hopefully they show up in Portland do again after I turn 21 lol

San Diego put out some of the best bands in the early to mid 90s, I've listened to these guys religiously for the past 30 years
