I know you know boats well and I have seen videos with your dads Donzi...but...I'm not from Saltwater areas and why do the small boats with 2-3 300r's catch your eye vs. the bigger ones with 5-6 400r's? Are the smaller ones just faster and more affordable? Or are their only certain classes etc? One of them @ 3:42 just has a single motor and you said it caught your eye.... Am I missing something?
It's all down to personal taate in my opinion, the feeling of driving a small fast boat makes it feel way more intense and can really teach you how to drive on your limit compared to a fast center console or a big widebody cat. The way the speed feels is so different...and yeah they are more affordable most of the time😂

It was converted he had 2 502 in boards in there before now boat runs 78 still has more tuning
