    Was the pin code 5 digits ? Rather than 4

      @legacylocksmith7874  4 місяці тому +1

      4 it’s only in the old one’s or when using dealer tool if I’m not mistaken.

      @@legacylocksmith7874 The Chrysler dealer gave me a 4 digit code for my 19 Pacifica, using a TOPDON T ninja pro it called for a 5 digit code according to Topdon. Which the Topdon will not pull as of now. The Topdon is suppose to pull pins on 17 and 18 Pacifica. So my friend at the dealer programmed it there. He said he used the 4 digit code. A youtube vid by Locksny doing a 2017 Pacifica using XTool Autopropad pulls a 5 digit code and uses the 5 digit to program a key. Thanks for your time 👍

      @jackroy6524 so to solve the confusion dealer tools will use 4 pin code till current the aftermarket tools use a 5 digit PIN code to program keys. Hope it makes sense.

      @@jackroy6524 I'm wondering the same thing. I have a 2010 Town and Country and that is a 4 digit pin code (From the dealer or aftermarket scan tool). All I see for YT video's of people doing 2017 up Chrysler's with aftermarket scan tools is 5 digit pin codes. If the dealer can or is still able to use a 4 digit on these 17's and up, that would mean there are two different codes that would work for learning keys ? Sounds like no one on YT can give a definite answer on that. Good Luck.

      So the answer is simple, aftermarket tools on the new models uses five digits dealer tools that still using four digits

    Where did you buy the the scanner and cables in order so i could do my spare key fob for my 2020 chrysler pacifica?

    • @legacylocksmith7874
      @legacylocksmith7874  2 місяці тому

      It’s for locksmith that deals with this daily. Don’t buy all this to do your own key.
      Instead buy a key and get a locksmith to program

      Well.. what my point was is to get a scanner that does all the obd2 functions along with doing most of the key fobs.. I got the Otofix D1 scanner and had to send it back because it was limited on doing the key fobs..

      @TruePatriot59 got you. 508 is also mostly key programming. If you want more maybe 608 but subscriptions will kill you overtime

    What year Pacific's use 12/8 cable in order to be able to perform the key fob programming? Or do you use the 2 pin connection on passenger side small panel by the sliding door?

    • @legacylocksmith7874
      @legacylocksmith7874  Місяць тому

      Up to 21 it will work after need to use 12-8

      @legacylocksmith7874 So 12-8 will not work on 2020 say?

      @TruePatriot59 12-8 will work on 18 and up. The star connection will only work up to 21

      @legacylocksmith7874 maybe I can just use the 12+8 cable to do the security bypass, along with my OBDlink mx+

    What do you have connected to the obd port under the dash if you are using the adc2011 by the passenger rear door? And what extension cord is it? Male Obd to male obd and two connects to 508?

    • @legacylocksmith7874
      @legacylocksmith7874  11 місяців тому

      Yeah. You must connect OBD as well when using AUTEL to program. For the extension I just use a regular “OBD extension” from Amazon.

    • @acg6916
      @acg6916 11 місяців тому

      @@legacylocksmith7874 ok I must be missing something, from what I'm getting the adc2011 goes from the rear passenger panel to the orb extension cord to the 508. I'm not sure where the ODB under the dash is connecting to?

    • @legacylocksmith7874
      @legacylocksmith7874  11 місяців тому

      @acg6916 adc2011 has 3 connections. One to the star one to the Autel then the third one with OBD extension to the OBD connector of the car. Hopefully that explanation make more sense.

      Thank you, once I got the cord from Amazon I seen how it was. Just programmed two for 2021. I will need to get a longer extension cord though, I only got a 6ft and it's a stretch for sure

      @legacylocksmith7874  11 місяців тому

      @acg6916 I think I got the 14ft. Always enough but definitely you are going to use this cable a lot even with the regular chargers and grand Cherokee.
