I’m not sure, but in the USA all 500 no matter what’s the trim will use Delphi. You can generate the key in Xhorse and check if works they have both.

It’s for locksmith that deals with this daily. Don’t buy all this to do your own key. Instead buy a key and get a locksmith to program

@legacylocksmith7874 Well.. what my point was is to get a scanner that does all the obd2 functions along with doing most of the key fobs.. I got the Otofix D1 scanner and had to send it back because it was limited on doing the key fobs..

@TruePatriot59 got you. 508 is also mostly key programming. If you want more maybe 608 but subscriptions will kill you overtime

@Spec1aLisT24 connecting the car to a battery supply is needed more for CAS3+ and high step and always a good thing to have but in CAS two or three regular, the job will be so fast that you don’t really need more than a regular battery power. Aftermarket keys should be totally fine but keep in mind that aftermarket keys can be garbage as well. It’s all depends what the source.

I think refurbish should be fine, but I’m not sure about that

@rimvydasr2166 it’s okay. But if you do that as a daily job, we need to have back ups for everything in case one of the tools does not communicate and also we need the versatilities sometimes but it’s not as common and you can definitely start with AUTEL only.

How? What model? And what part you got stuck? Doing these kind of operation in OBD method, you must maintain power to the car and of course those job have risk that needs to be taking to an account.

Same process or you can just clone the chip. Much easier.

@legacylocksmith7874 thank you. One of the step in autel instructions was connecting to bypass cable (not brute force cable). But my worry is the message I got was this system isn't supported.
