The bad thing is that in automatic transmission skips many gears with the renault electric, so after 50km/h it costs a lot, in my case I use it in my scania, Renault Electric engine and transmission Volvo FH 2012 and goes pearls in heavy loads (61t) in my opinion the renault electric is very powerful in manual than in automatic.
@@TGMStefa Manual will give you even more range depending on you'll switch the gears. I think you'll mainly benefit more with the Renault ones because you can drive them in the lower gears for faster acceleration. The transmissions just make no sense at all, especially the neutral.
Interesting clip, however i still choose the Reno because of the interior and its so silent, idk if its just me but Scania has that specific noise when you cruise at 90 kmh, sounds like you drive with winter tiers in summer
renault powertrain characteristics feels very weird with low speed pick-up felt too snappy while on the mid to high speed the shift logic goes all over the places and its struggles to keep up. otoh scs nailed the scania powertrain characteristics IMHO with its multi-motor setup, emulate a "gearshift" without actual gear change
In my opinion , having them tested separately , Renault it's much faster to about 60 km/h , or at least it's crazier. Playing on keyboard it's squeaking the wheels when leaving from standstill to about 5th gear , especially if it's without the trailer. I was also able to do doughnuts and burnouts with it , something I never did with a stock truck on normal roads. Scania seems much faster on the higher speeds , but it's more chilled , it's not squeaking the tires when I'm leaving from standstill , I couldn't do burnouts with it. Also , Scania seems to have better range in my driving style, going pretty much as fast the road allows. With Renault I did about 300 kilometres with one charge , testing it to see it's acceleration , top speed etc. With Scania I did about 450 kilometres and I've still had about 10% battery when arriving at destination in same conditions. I can't wait to have them as ownable trucks and to do deliveries across the continent with them.
I feel like this whole EV Truck concept is really weird, I mean imagine having to stop like 7 times for a load. We still don't have the reliable technology to use on our daily vehicles.
The thing is, Promods by itself is a massive map so if you have discovered a reasonable portion of the playable map you will see a crapton of quick jobs in the menu. Try sorting by trip distance in ascending order (EV trucks have very limited range so the quick jobs are all short distance ones). You can also filter them to only show quick jobs that give you a Scania or Renault.
Tell me if im wrong, but arent those two trucks useless? their range is just hilariously bad(about 1/5 of my volvo), they arent very vast, they arent very powerful. What is their purpose. I mean its always good to have more trucks to drive, and im definietely buying those at least to test them myself, but i dont think they are any better than the rest of trucks
@@PinguPenguin-BMWM they are in game, but not aviable to buy yet, because we dont have charging stations in game yet. If you want to test drive them you need to find them in jobs with truck included. I don’t really interested in the E-truck but only drive for the new interior, and I didn’t finished any of the jobs, the battery dead at half of the distance
Torque on the 610hp in Scania is 3500 Newton meter and in Renault 666Hp is 2400 Newton meter, is a masive difference
Isnt r730 3500 torque?

All that actually matters is the hp.
All that is really saying is that one motor isn't geared down enough/is geared for different torque.
Watching a video of Scania and Renault electric trucks on ETS2 while sitting on a Volvo electric truck IRL 😂
ETS2 needs new volvo or new merc so bad
2:20 that's a massive difference
The difference would be much less if not the uphill
Torque: 3.5kNm v. 2.4 kNm

i hope they add a fiture that you can buy them and have them in your garage
The reason for the performance difference is the torque, Scania has 3500nm but Renault only has 2400nm which is a huge difference
I love renault, him design beauty
BEV is the new fastest truck of ets 2, its top speed is 172 KMH or so.
The Renault is nicer to drive
Holy shoot that Scania is a monster but the Renault looks so much better.

oh come on i was expecting real trucks hahaha. UA-cam got me... Anyway, i play ETS too!
how to charge them is my main question ? they shold work on that thing.
they're working on it but you can't charge them just yet
SCS messed up the torque curves, hopefully it's just temporary

But, I just wish the side mirrors were digital too...
Maybe they will add it in customisation when you can actually own them

the fact trucks are mostly limited to 90km/h sometimes less and you done a 0-100 test makes it unreal

does anyone know when we will be able to buy one of these trucks?
When SCS implements charging stations in the game, it should be in the near feature as SCS is planning on releasing more EV trucks
