Sarah , I became vegan a few years ago and although I spent many decades cooking, I found myself throwing away a lot of food. I had to relearn how to cook so the food was delicious. I watched many people on you tube and I found a few vegan cooks who I love to watch. You are my favorite. Your recipes always come amazing! I so appreciate the work you do to test recipes and share those with all of us. Thank You Sarah, you have helped me relearn how to make food taste delicious. Thank you!
I made the lasagna last night. It was amazing. That was the best tofu ricotta I have ever made. The almonds were so much better than cashews. I still to this day make your cauliflower wings. I know the recipe by heart. You are the best 😍😍😍😍
Lasagna is my favorite food ever!! I like to make mine with a generous layer of Cashew based sauce on top, like the Hot For Food Mac & Cheese sauce (I skip the miso) to get that bechamel consistency. Doesn't taste like bechamel but gives the lasagna that wetter creaminess I personally love :) I will definitely try that ricotta tho!
Yum!! This looks AMAZING! I definitely need to try that ricotta and the Violife mozzarella. Thanks for making this a short video! I prefer the quick recipe vids, to the long, in-depth ones.
VioLife cheese definitely has that shit down. They’re one of my favorites as well. This recipe looks freaking delicious!! Vegan meat alternatives have come such a long way in the last few years, you’re absolutely right.
Mmmmmmmmmm. I haven't had lasagna in a couple years. Think it's time to have some. I love that you put zucchini and mushrooms in yours. Violife is life.
This reminds me of the baked ziti (not a fan of lasagna noodles for whatever reason) I made for Friendsgiving a few years back. The options for cheese and crumbles are waaay better than they were then, so...I think I may have to revisit this in the near future...thank you for posting this!
the tofu ricotta looks great and seems it would have a nuttier taste than a flour and plantmilk beshamel, i ll try that and add ground nutmeg to it too.
I have been making vegan lasagna for a while now and make tofu ricotta for it also. In fact, I have a pan of it in the oven right now. I find that a 1 hour cook time is not enough so I cook it for 1 hour and 20 minutes at 395 degrees. That gets it perfectly cooked inside with a nice brown top and edges. Definitely, agree on no nutritional yeast in the cotta because it should not taste cheddary. I just use extra firm tofu, garlic, olive oil, vinegar, Italian herb mix, salt, and pepper to make my tofucotta and it is amazing. That guy in your video is the least killed garlic chopper I have ever seen, looks like it may have been his first time chopping garlic.
Thanks so much for another amazing recipe! I've had a strong feeling for awhile that the Violife Mozz was a game changer but unfortunately my WF's only carries the Parm, Cheddar and Provo of the brand.
That looks delicious, I've been thinking about making lasagna too, must be something in the air! Do you have any recommendations for sausage replacement, we cant get that over here? Maybe TVP or crumbled pan fried tofu? Thanks for sharing your recipes!
For the issue of raw garlic and the smell sticking to you and everything have you tried rubbing your hands on stainless steel? Either your faucet (weird yes) or the sell stainless steel bars for this purpose. It has worked for me because garlic is life but oh buddy I don't want to stink lol
Maybe I should try parboiling first. I keep getting the precooked ones but I find I can’t seem to put enough sauce on the top layer to cook it. So it’s always hard. :/
I make vegan Lasagne with a tomato sauce with onion, garlic, sweet corn,. Kidney beans, red and yellow peppers, sweet patato. On top a garlic- „cheese“ sauce. Soooo good. Even my meat obsessed biyfriend likes it 😅
Looks so good 😍 do you have any recommendations for soy-free vegan ricotta? I like to make vegan lasagna for my mom, but she (and now, I) have sensitivity to a lot of soy
I have been craving lasagna -thank you so much this looks delicious!!! Cant wait to try it. Sarah are you still planning on doing a psychology channel/podcast?
Excellent recipe video. I would prefer to buy the stores own brand of vegan cheese because it's usually cheaper than Violife. I will have to try this recipe.
there is not such a thing as vegan cheese. cheese is from animals. and its super healthy. Vegan cheese is a fake mimic processed ingredient . you just call it cheese.. ANd if you use your brainwashed brain a little bit .. maybe you realize that you are craving real cheese. thats why u make all those vegan recipes that mimic meat and cheese :) and all animal products ITs so stupid , i mean just think about it.. Or the vegan egg recipe ... what the fuck is that .. VEGAN EGG :)) there is only one EGG on this world and its animal egg :) The Vegan egg again contains 20 ingredients just to mimic real healthy egg that contains almost every nutrient known to man :))))
I keep seeing recipes like this, but I've literally never eaten lasagna with ricotta. Most people put bechamel sauce into lasagna, but I've never seen a vegan lasagna with bechamel sauce. Is this maybe a thing that Americans do different to Europeans?Well, I don't even like bechamel sauce, which is why my lasagna is usually just tomato sauce with veggies and some cheese on top.

Funny that you listed violife because I had never heard of it before until today. I just got back from the grocery store with a block of Violife Feta. Can't wait for a salad with this new ingredient. Hope that it is good!
Just had veg lasagne for dinner but it was a microwave meal so definitely not as good as the real deal. Everyone always says they love the crispy edge pieces of dishes like lasagne but I think they’re THE WORST. Eric's voiceover with you laughing in the background was fantastic
Just a pro tip I carried over from my animal days; add some of the fresh basil to your ricotta. My grandmother always does and it is fantastic! ♥
@@DonPaluso ummm?
Love the aesthetic videography and the collaborative voice over in this video!

Really excited for that ricotta recipe! Also, love the editing on this - no music made it very chill.

Hi Sarah, what tofu press do y’all use? Also this lasagna looks soo good
I had a rough day and this just made everything better. Thanks again sarah ❤ love from israel
The tag team cooking & voiceover is adorable :)

Lasagna is one of my favourite foods. This one looks so good. Will have to try it since winter is almost here.
Ack... how long do you cook the lasagnia and at what temp?
Eric does a very nice voice over!
Will the lasagna tomato sauce be tasty without onion and garlic? Can I replace them with something else?
Mmmmmmmmmm. I haven't had lasagna in a couple years. Think it's time to have some. I love that you put zucchini and mushrooms in yours. Violife is life.

This looks quite yummy. I look forward to trying it. Thanks to you and Eric.
Omg you always have the best ideas Sarah! I can’t wait to make this.

Emily Guleff agree! I love garlic, but the smell not everyone at home likes it so I do too rub against the kitchen sick. Have a nice day!
I have one of those stainless steel soaps for this. Works so well!
Or get a garlic press?
@@scandisnowgirl3696 still gotta clean it. And as easy as they make things, they can get clogged easily as well.
AAAAA YES BABY I’VE BEEN WAIIIITING FOR THIS VIDEO💗💗💗

Violife is the BEST
Yumm I can’t wait to make this! Also have you tried the smoked Gouda from violife? It’s amazing!
Hi Sarah 👋 Can you make potato chips with air fryer? It isn’t the most healthy but I’m craving it so much.
I make vegan Lasagne with a tomato sauce with onion, garlic, sweet corn,. Kidney beans, red and yellow peppers, sweet patato. On top a garlic- „cheese“ sauce. Soooo good. Even my meat obsessed biyfriend likes it 😅

I would love to see low waste or zero waste vegan options!
This looked so good yummy definitely have to try this
That lasagna looks so legiiiiit
Will be definitely making this. Looking forward to try the VioLive cheese. Saw it at WF the other day.
is violife mozzarella better than miyoko's? never tried it
Real mozzarella is better than violife or miyokos .
P Z Oh hi, troll! Did you click this video just to say something like this? Lol
Looks so good 😍 do you have any recommendations for soy-free vegan ricotta? I like to make vegan lasagna for my mom, but she (and now, I) have sensitivity to a lot of soy
Substitute cauliflower for the tofu.
Ohh I am so excited to try this lasagna!
Cool filming on this video! Looks good, gotta search for some violife cheese
Eric’s voiceover was amazing! 😂
back at it again with the amazing vid!! 🌻💕
This looks a amazing. I am starving now. 💗
Literally was looking for a vegan lasagna recipe today and then you post, but it was too late

Perfect ❤
Woah great video, love you Sarah

This looks sooo good!! But I kinda missed the taste test!
What brand is your lasagna dish?
Yum, I can't wait to try it 💜🌻🌈
#Violifecheese!!!! Their feta and cream cheese?? Honey! Best brand out there.
I tried to make a lasagne last time (vegan of course) and it didn't go well, definitely going to try this!
Yes!!
Who's here from sv3rige?? 🙋
Even tho he's one fucked up person, I'm thankful he posted this video, been looking for a really good vegan lasagna, and it's amazing!!
i love how he makes you laugh
That's exactly how I feel about garlic

Yayyy
What about us who cannot access those faux meats and cheeses :((
Mushrooms as meat and maybe some other veggies and the tofu ricotta without using fake cheese is tasty by itself
Mushrooms as meat. It is very delicious.

Check avant vegan his lasagna
@Green Snail yes recently tried it and was the best lasagna ever
🤤🤤🤤
Lol, i tried the beyond sausage because of you and i really hated it. Lol sorry. :)
Eight cloves of garlic. Yessss! 😬
It should be illegal to call this slave food beef or sausage.
dude just eat that fucking real meat what is so difficult about it
Looks so dry. . Maybe more sauce?
Arghhhhh no olive oil :/ I’m allergic to it & olives. Yes i know the weirdest allergy ever.
Just had veg lasagne for dinner but it was a microwave meal so definitely not as good as the real deal. Your so charming and beautiful, I love your videos very down to earth. ❤
actually looks good ill try a slice if u eat a slice of raw grassfed steak, deal? prove me ur in this for health and not religion
processed ingredients aren't healthy. hope that helps!
Using so many processed ingredients.
So what?
Replace it with lentils or more veg. And make a cashew cheese. But ain’t no body got time for that bro.
@@PS-mv5gj lentils are gross. cashew cheese is not cheese. Veganism is stupid. Meat is healthy. Hope that helps!
Why not just eat the real thing instead of imitating what you really desire? Stop pretending and EAT!
Wait, who doesn't know how to pronounce lasagna??
Sv3rige/Goatis just reviewed you, do a reaction video back!
