    What a useful video, Colin! Retired designer here, and I give you multiple thumbs up for your beautifully composed gallery wall. I appreciate your sense of organization, with distances and visual weights respected among the pictures to give a cohesive feel to the whole. It can be disconcerting when they are hung without attention to that dynamic tension among the pieces.
    I only wish I had known your clever trick with the marked newspaper mockup when I started working in the seventies!
    Always a delight to see a video from NTS in the notifications.

    Well done guys. When I saw SS sponsoring the video I rolled my eyes slightly thinking it’s purely selling their gallery TV and soundbar. But you gave enough good tips to make this not feel like a sellout 👍🏼 (and I absolutely know you need that financial support, so I totally get it - so it’s a pure praise)

    Instead of using newspaper, much better to take a photo about the pictures I find the correct position and balance in a photo editor, CAD programm or even with a world processor. Newspaper is may correct in size, but not giving back the differenc motives, colours and frame styles.

    • @nevertoosmall
      @nevertoosmall  Рік тому +1

      @@nevertoosmall The most basic method if you open a new sheet (white or colour) in MS Word, OpenOffice, etc. in the right size and scale to get a blank wall. Then insert the pre-cutted photos from your smarthone, and by moving the photos on the blank pages, you get the instant preview of the final installation. You can even save the different variations. It works if you don't framed a picture yet or just don't have it at all. In essence, it 's a publication edit on the wall, without text. You don't need any specific skills to do.

    I may be in the minority here, but I don't tune in to NTS for this sort of DIY stuff. I don't want interior design tips. If you are going to do this sort of content, then maybe you could get in on the ground floor of a small space renovation and show what a space could look like. Go from raw space to reconceptualizing to demo to construction to finished space. I'm not sure how you would be able to do it production-wise, but "How to Create a Gallery Wall" just isn't the NTS brand to me. It's HGTV. I know that sounds somewhat ironic given the outline I just laid out for you above. Good luck advancing and expanding your brand.

    Colocar vários elementos coloridos do lado da TV não é interessante, pois neste caso são quadros, que irão cansar a vista e tirar a atenção ao assistir filmes, séries e etc. Esse aparelho Samsung ou é uma televisão ou quadro de arte? Achei cafona, SIMULAR quadros de artes na TV aparentemente é legal, mas gastar energia elétrica e o tempo de vida da tela COM ISSO não é nada ecológico. Dispensável isso.

    wait, i have to hammer a nail with enough power to push it into the wall? now i know what i always did wrong. eye-opening.....
    but for real, i expected tips like "install a picture rail once directly under the ceiling and use nylon threads do hang your pictures so you don´t have to hide holes once your taste changes and you swap pictures around", and not this mix of advertisements and clickbait which is not worth my time.
