I have bought this watch recently, anyone concerned about the lug to lug length should rest assured that it fits my slim wrist perfect. I have put it straight into a tropic strap which I think best suits the style of watch. The case and bezel are both oozing the feel of quality. Trust me when I tell you this watch is a gem.
I agree. Just had mine over a month. I have had many dive watches before, but love this one the best. Hope you continue to enjoy yours for a long, long time!
Superb review of a fantastic watch. Just had mine about a month now. Very difficult to give any other watch wrist time. Love the beautiful beads of rice bracelet. With the 3 micro adjusts and a few smaller links (not quite half links), it was easy to get a good fit. I don't really understand the complaints about the clasp. It does the job well. An enormous technical challenge to attain the high level of water resistance in such a compact case. And crown operation is second-to-none. I believe this is where the watch outshines many other dive watches. I also love the aesthetics of the dial, bezel and the beautifully lightly brushed case and bracelet.
I had a few O&W’s watches made for military contract consumption back in the 80s when I was collecting military issued watches. They were the same story, sturdy, well made and collectors liked them. Nice to see they’re still around and producing updated modern versions of those 60s classics.
Really nice watch, good quality and reasonable price. I like the simplicity of the hands dial and hour marks. Great review Armand,as usual and thanks for sharing.
I have the O&W M5 which i bought new back in '92 it was a reissue of the 1960's Surfmaster sold on PX's in Vietnam. An ETA 2824-2 movement being the good, the under lumed hands being the bad.The movement fell asleep last year having never been serviced, something i still have to sort out as this was my first decent mechanical watch.I thought O&W had gone under but am very pleased to see that they're still with us.........
Love it love it love it ❤️ 😍 absolute beauty, only problem is that the price is too steep and I can’t afford one at present if this watch was $1000 it would have been the perfect watch of 2021. It’s been added to my wish list. Love the vintage look and size, they got this watch right just hope it had an exhibition back as that rotar and movement looks amazing and that the price was lower. Absolute 💚
I want one, been following this brand for a while... funky fun and cool timepieces but this is an awesome one. No I don't dive, I like the sport feel of the model and the size is near perfect. Have a good one.
she's a beauty. but 49mm lug to lug is important, so for a 18 cm wrist, the best option would be a strap. the trouble is : this metal bracelet is so nice that you would want to leave it on the watch. what are your thoughts and what is your wrist size on the video?
I would love to see better wrist shots along with size of the wrists mentioned, I can clearly see the finishing from your excellent video but what I cannot see is the quality of the bezel action compared to a Doxa or a Tudor if there is any back play or misalignment issue and if the bracelet is solid for all the links.
Very well filmed - kudos! Pity about the clasp though... And I also wonder whether they would not have been better off going with 300m of WR only, but shaving 2-3mm off the height?
Great review. What is your wrist size? I where an Omega Seamaster 300 chronometer 41mm. The lug to lug on the S1000 is pretty hefty for a 39.5. Love this watch. Fantastic bracelet. And it also looks great on a black nato....
Cool review, I’ve looked at O&W for a while now and I’m considering purchasing the OW P-104, a review on that piece would be greatly appreciated, cheers 👌👌
First time watching one of your reviews. I like your delivery - crisp and to the point! Great review and watch. Could you let us know what your wrist size is? Like others on here I fear at 49mm lug to lug it'll be too big for some of us.
Not to mention the thickness for what is essentially a useless rating. I mean, it’s impressive and all, but most people won’t be buying it for its intended purpose (which I’m not so sure is intended anymore) - having to constantly bear the price for this at the desk may put potential buyers, including yours truly, off.
Hello past self. I am currently looking for a diver, and it’s good to find you here. I’ll listen to you, cause I have always been satisfied when I listened to you in the past. Thanks! Yours truly, your future (or is that present?) self.
Some of the shots make it seem they may have outsourced the bezel alignment to Seiko. While you were operating it, it seemed to have considerable backplay, as well.
I think the bezel insert is mineral glass rather than sapphire glass. Also, in my unpublished BanG Dream!, Love Live!, South Park and Forza Horizon (2012) fanfic (Titled: The double lesbian wedding of Tae Hanazono and Saaya Yamabuki and of Umi Sonoda and Kotori Minami in the South Park Church, Colorado: A BanG Dream! and Love Live! fanfic featuring South Park and Forza Horizon (2012)), Kyle Broflovski wear a Ollech & Wajs C-1000 dive watch, which has a 100 bar or 1000 meter or 3300 feet of water resistance figure (which means it's a deep-sea dive watch) on the rubber strap while Kotori Minami wear a Ollech & Wajs P-101 pilot's watch with a 12-hour bezel for tracking a second timezone on the leather strap with a water resistance figure of 30 bar or 300 meter or 984 feet, in gray for the double lesbian wedding of her and Umi Sonoda alongside Tae Hanazono and Saaya Yamabuki (the watch was gifted to Kotori Minami by Kyle Broflovski, who, in the fanfic, is 27 years old and he has a degree in psychology, therefore he is working as an qualified and licensed psychologist and because the job has a income of more then 100000 US dollars per year, Kyle was able to buy the Ollech & Wajs C-1000 on the rubber watch strap for himself and the Ollech & Wajs P-101 on the leather strap for Kotori as a gift to her, for her to wear with the strapless ball gown-style wedding dress when she is marrying her soon-to-be lesbian wife, Umi Sonoda.)
I’ve found a U.K. stockist, and when this bloody virus decides it’s had enough I’m considering going to have a look. Have you heard any suggestion that the clasp is going to be ungraded to be more in keeping with the rest of the engineering ? I’m sure I’d heard this somewhere , as it’s a stumbling block and not that difficult to rectify really. I’ve reduced the list of possibly maybe watches short term to this and the Sinn 104, so I’m blaming this channel as you’ve done superb reviews on both ......just remembered , what will the position be regrading buying watches from either Germany or Switzerland over the internet and import taxes or whatever the position is now ? Thanks
Great Review. IMHO- That 49mm lug to lug is gonna be a bit wide for anything less than a 7.5 inch wrist. Especially on a nato. The saving grace is the endlinks are hinged to drop straight down once clear of the lug. And that clasp..I know what the other 10% was...weak sauce.
Muy bonito y de muy buena calidad es lo que me parece, no entiendo ni papa de lo que dicen, me gustaría saber el PVP aunque creo que será muy alto. Me gustaría que hubiera un traductor al español, muchas gracias.
Great history but there is something about a date location on any watch between the 4:00 - 6:00 that puts me off and not wating it. Either make a no date of put it at the 3:00.
I don't know this brand and I've never seen one of their pieces in a retailer, but this one is very interesting and seems to be very well built for the price.
I've watched this video twice now, because this watch does have a certain magnetism, but yeah...those long lugs and the ill-conceived lume is simply inexcusable for a diver at this price point.
I love the look of it with the exception of the cheap looking clasp. Does anybody know if the company ever has promotions ? I’ve added it to my watch list, if you’ll pardon the pun
As a long time diver, it was the lack of lume that effected my decision not to buy this peice . As a to watch , at depth , you should instantly be able to read the time easily and clearly. Especially if you have to go to your redundant system , your watch . Just my opinion. Other than that , it's a great looking peice .
You know those type of watches that is almost perfect, but something throws everything off? The text on the dial here. Seems unecessary to have the C-1000 at 3. A decision done because of the date wheel at 6 i assume.
Ordered one. Showed up with a misaligned bezel. Sent inquiry and was told my message was forwarded. 3 business days later and no response. Major disappointment for a substantial purchase.
@@RemovedLobster thanks for the note. I never got any feedback of worth. After the hype I saw on the brand, very disappointed. If I treated my clients this way, I'd be out of business.
The case is a good size but lug to lug adds 10mm, which makes it too big for the average wrist. The lugs will hang over and the case will twist on the wrist. A shame.
As a shallow desk diver, i fail to understand why more watch companies do not make, a sub 40 mm diver with an open case back and a 6 o’clock date. It’s almost as if nobody where’s a watch on their right hand🤷🏻♂️. A 3 o’clock date screws up my dial symmetry y’all 🤯🤯🤯 long live #ocean39gmt🤘🏼

I knew nothing of this brand until your review. Thank you. Love the watch. I would've expected a milled clasp at that price point though.

I like it ! Stunning dial and markings. Simple classic....
Worth to buy, due to its history. The older watches do offer a better readability than most modern models. Cheers fm Singapore+
Thanks for the good review. Didn't know anything about this brand. Yes, this will be my next watch coming from my home town!
Love, love, LOVE this watch - though I’ll almost certainly never own one because it’s out of my price range.
This is a stunning watch and that bracelet is like none I've seen before.

Very good video. Not often does one get a look at an OW. Much appreciated.
Excellent review! This is a very eye catching watch, great features and well constructed!
Great review- both in description and pictures. Thank you

A great review of a great watch. Excellent camera work. I really like the brand.
Great review Armand. And great to hear you podcast on iTunes. I can listen to your great channel on my commute now. Best wishes.
The quality of this video, Sir. You deserve a job at National Geographic or NASA.
Beautiful watch. Thank you for reviewing.

Absolutely beautiful watch. Thanks for this great review, as well as all your others.
Great looking watch, very good price also.
Good looking watch and also, a very well made and edited video review. Top effort.
I’m happy with 200m and a thinner lighter watch with better lume. A zodiac super sea wolf skin 53 is my pick.
Really like the look of this watch love the strap too
Thanks for the video, I discovered the brand a week ago and I already contacted the only French AD to try it. 😬

great watch but the Lug to Lug distance of 49mm is i think too much for a 39mm watch,
Love this watch
I know there trying to keep the price down but the logo on dial and the clasp are the only negatives i can see but the rest of the watch looks great.

Nice, but date ruins it for me. Prefer C. Ward's C65, design wise. Cheers 👍🏻
I was tempted to get one, but the clasp is a cheap stamped one.
Good looking watch but if you cant read the lume well, ill keep my GSAR Marithon any day, night or depth!
Did O&W get their inspiration from vintage brands like Rewet, Westclox, Paul Peugeot, Norexa, Cimier? Looks like it.
No, they are a vintage brand from 1956, so the inspitation came from their 60s Caribbean 1000 model.
It probably is perfect.
I think the number on the crown represents the number of the watch. Mine is 15/56
+ john liley: That's absolutely correct, however, that's only for the first 56 watches. After that, it's just the same for all examples.
WATCH CHRONICLER thank you
After 56 the crown becomes the O&W logo.
I loved the watch until I saw the lug to lug measurements and it’s too big for me
I do agree
LUG to LUG too long. Like Hamilton field
