Thanks for showing this watch. It is different. It just does not look like a $1300 watch from the video. I’m sure it is very different in hand. But that clasp kills it. That makes you wonder what else was cheaped out on. Also, the watch looks like a mishmash of different designs like it’s part diver, pilot and field watch with no design winning. That minute hand looks like a Freddy Krueger sweater.
Not sure if this is a paid review but seems like it. He rarely is very critical, in this case mentions the clasp quality but doesn't get too critical. Loses creditability.
Great store and a great family and everybody else who works in Rusell Jewellers! I purchased my Seiko in that store. Best selection of Seiko watches I have ever seen. They also sell Squale, Longines, and some other brands.
I liked this watch initially but really surprised that they used a low quality clasp. Maybe this could be swapped but on watch of this price, this shouldn't be necessary. Thanks for sharing.
Unique design. Great Skin Diver asthetic. I reserve judgment on the clasp as I have never worn one. I intuitively feel that the stamped design aids in wearability of the piece. Great review.
I have always loved the look of Ollech & Wajs ------- However ------- They need to upgrade the clasp. Fix that one issue: They will have a winner on their hands.
Nice review RR. I have their Ocean Graph 1000m diver. In nearly four years and dozens of buys and flips from brands big and small it’s the best watch I’ve owned and the only watch I could legit wear just on the bracelet. The whole thing is perfectly machined and super durable, while also looking classy and a bit vintage. I’m a fan of this brand… can you tell?! 😂
I'd like to see you review the C-1000S model, I think it's even better looking and for extra coolness it's predecessor from the 70s the Caribbean was the watch worn by Bodie and Doyle from the British crime series The Professionals
That inner chapter ring looks really misaligned from the hour markers. Just looking at the 12 oclock marker with the orange triangle above it. Granted it doesnt really matter for a slide rule watch since that scale never has to be correlated to the time but it is still a bit difficult to look at.
I'm fairly sure this a Phoenix brand which like many suffered during the quartz crisis. One claim to fame I'm sure of is they were one of the brands that first introduced the 1000 meter dive watches known as "Caribbeans". There were others. Most of them claim to be first to do so.
Loved O and W for a long time. Their design language is great. But they just gotta upgrade their lume and clasp a bit. But that's not really that big of a deal.
@@Org80 I don't have one yet. But I've been looking for a long time. I like both the 101 and 104. They also have a cool watch with a left handed crown.
as watch hobbyists you have to love that they weren't afraid to take some design choices different from what everyone else is doing.
I'm loving this thing. Never heard of the brand either. Thanks for bringing it to our attention Rob.

That clasp could be swapped out easily enough
@@Mr_Memer.876 but when you paying £1000 you shouldn't really have to.

Clasp makes sense from the design perspective. This watch is quality.
I have the P-101 as a daily beater. Unbeatable watch for any occasion. Very underrated watch, I just wish it had a silicone balance spring.
Nice to see this brand get reviewed, been wanting that one for a long time!

Great watches, good company and very responsive to customers.

Nice one but I see no reason to charge a cent more than $500 on this piece. $1300? A big LOL.
£400 is really cheap though.
I really want this watch.

Very cool watch. Too bad about the lume. If San Martin can give incredible lume for below 400$ then so can everyone else
I think either Strapcode or Miltat make the proper clasp (ratcheting adjustment) to go with that awesome BOR bracelet.
I have this on the nato strap. I can confirm the lume is actually terrible. Other than that its actually an amazing watch.
Lieben wir!

Very nice, they made an Air 62MAS before Seiko.

Love that bracelet. I'd call it the "Beads of Jubilee".
Cool watch, there is room for improvement.

The bracelet is impressive but let down by the pressed clasp.

@@Org80 the clasp doesn't bother me. The lume is kind of a bit of a buzz kill.

Its high on my wishlist, perfect tool watch-so toolish that I dont even know how to operate it 🤓
Keep in mind that American buyers will enjoy a 20-25% discount due to exchange rates. 1000 dollar watch becomes a 750 to 800 dollar watch USD.
If it only was bigger!
Nice watch. Defective lume. Such a shame.
What a disappointing clasp for that price! Just started doing research on this.
so small
