OMG I WAS NOT READY FOR THIS! The combination of two of my favourite artists ever!
My ex loved Radiohead. I love Caroline Polachek and I sent him some of her songs because they made me think of us, or just because I liked them. He ignored my suggestions and said she makes "white girl music", whatever that is supposed to mean. (Mind you, he is white too.) During our relationship, I often felt like he perceived my taste as inferior. He expressed admiration for so many artists in different art forms, and none of those artists was a woman or a nonbinary person. Caroline is wearing Yohji Yamamoto in this performance; on the day I met my boyfriend's mom, she told me she owns some clothes designed by "Yoshi" Yamamoto. When I corrected her on the pronunciation of his name, she gave me a weird look. The breakup was relatively recent and I got relatively hurt. This performance is making me feel so many things.

So beautiful and such a pleasant surprise. This instantly felt so soothing. I really needed this right now, it feels like the perfect timing as I am just now beginning to go through my first heart break. Caroline is my top artist and a moon shaped pool is one of my favourite albums so I love love love this.

This is exactly my experience. Had no idea who she was until my friend shared she had a conversation with Kojima. That’s been about a month or so ago, and I’ve been obsessed with her ever since. Slowly pouring over her catalogue of songs and performances
