I just have to laugh whenever I hear someone from my generation say that there is no great music being made in this century . . . well done Caroline and crew! 👍👍👍

What an insightful interview. You can tell she’s really good at walking the line between intellectualizing art and direct emotional expression. She seems like she puts a lot of thought into what she does and the context she does it in.
You know when you sort of like an artist on the periphery? Like you’ve heard a song or two and like it just fine, but you wouldn’t necessarily call yourself a fan? Then suddenly for whatever reason they just click and you start consuming all their material? This performance was that “ok, I get it” moment for me with Caroline Polachek. This set was amazing and she and her whole band are really doing something here.
Right?! I feel like I have had a lot of her songs saved in my Spotify for a long time but never really stopped to truly listen until this latest album & seriously her voice is truly magic, lyrical genius, beautiful music.
Instant classic! I loved the part where she said bbblllooooooooooooodddd aaaaaannnnddddd buuutttttttteeerrrrrrrrrrr. Heavenly! Unwordly! Completely incomprehensible! She kinda moaned out blood and butter and I came in my own ass
My brother rockin' the Kiesel HD guitar. Don't see Kiesels very often outside of metal/prog-metal. Also, holy christ, where has Caroline been in my musical travels? Absolutely incredible.
It’s my 30th birthday, I’ve had a breakdown very recently and Caroline polachek is what I listened to in the morning when I woke up. Her voice heals inside and out 💗
Wow this version of Butterfly Net made me cry, whereas the album version didn't quite hit the same way. Seeing her emote and all of the instrumentalists bring this fantastic and no-sound-out-of-place atmosphere to life in real time is frickin magical.
I love her. Such a big inspiration to so many of us. I saw her live recently and it resonated so deeply in my soul… seriously couldn’t stop happy crying… even just thinking about seeing Fly To You live makes me tear up a little 🥹
Wow, this was so beautiful. I really feel that we need a second part, ¡please!. This album is so special, i can't have enough. Thanks KEXP, and of course thank you Caroline ❤
Hey Caroline, today I heard from you for the first time and I was immediately enthusiastic! That's why I read about you in Wikipedia, wow what a career and a lot for the soul! My absolute respect for your work, a fan more definitely, you make fantastic music, great musicians, your voice is great 👍🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 Sorry for a lot of text, but there are also three songs 😉 Greetings from Frankfurt Volker
I knew some of the music which surpasses so much of what pop has to do but it's great to see this and to feel I know something about the woman. The band are slick without being synthetic and despite the technical sophistication of her productions the live experience feels entirely and warmly human. Thank you.

My second listen to Caroline 's beauty and her mesmerizing voice but also her Amazing band. I love the percussion & drums on this live set. Just beautiful. Thank you all. Greeting from Barcelona.
Great to have another session from Caroline. Personally, she is up there for me with other beautiful Ariel musical spirits like Julianna Barwick, Julia Holter, Alice Bowman and PJ Harvey and Bess Atwell. Whilst their styles might differ, I still believe there is a shared commonality in the fact that they create songs that are often haunting, floaty, spacey, transcendental and spiritual. Lovely.
Love this interview, thank you for doing this. Love her since "Pang" and had the opportunity to see her on Primavera Sound Argentina 2022 up close, so really happy for this and her new album. ♥
the energy in contrast with the dreamy quality of her work made her concert so amazing. See her if you can, anyone on the fence! Fantastic session as always!
Oh wow, just realized I saw her perform in NY back when she was Chairlift. Loved her performance then and man it's great to see her evolution since too!
sunset is seriously one of the best songs ever it is so beautiful and captivating i feel like i am transported to a summer spent abroad on a beach in spain and the sky is glowing fiery orance
I've never heard of her and I have a feeling this is gonna be one of those things where I like the live version of these songs better than the studio version cause I heard it first. Crazy talent from everyone!
You can't let yourself miss out anymore, go go go! Let us know how it felt listening to her albums for the first time! My favorite is still Arcadia (one she released under Ramona Lisa name)
who is here after listening the everasking edition? such a beautiful album and it's so cool that she released both on valentine's day! it feels like a warm hug from a friend 💘💝
Absolutely beautiful. She's an amazing artist and her music and vocals are unique and so expressive. I do wish she would have played a song or two from "Pang", though, but it was still fantastic.

so true

Incredible performance but also props to the sound engineer, the mix on this is insane it sounds so good
