#USMNT #TacticalManagerTV - Спорт
I commend you for the care and effort to put the USMNT fans on notice
Ever since the loss to Panama, Kasey Keller has been defending Gregg even after the Uruguay debacle. He's been doing everything to say the USSF can afford Klopp by trying to blame the women's team.
Too much of the USSF cares about the WNT first and foremost. And frankly I don't give a rats a$$ about them.
Brian McBride as well is doing everything he can to keep his buddy
Legendary players for the US, but fuck them both and their opinions
I mean, it is bullshit the women’s team makes as much as those on the men’s team. The men make much more money and the women take money that isn’t their’s.
@@stickybunnnboth are just 2 guys that refuse to say anything bad about the federation they hope to get a job in. It’s pathetic that they are even allowed to have an opinion on TV, when they clearly have an agenda.
If they hire churandalo I'm still boycotting
Who is he?
Me too😡
@@justinstern6057 he’s definitely not the answer. He would be GGG 3.0
Scary that no decision has been made yet. So bring the heat! #Berhalter Out
They are also saying Cherundolo is a possible replacement. :( Klopp please
Order of coaches from most desirable to least 1) J Klopp 2) J Low 3) P Matterazo 4) H Perez 5) W Nancy 6)J Herdman 7) S Cherundolo. Insert any other names into the list if you like!
Why hasn’t a decision been made.? It’s easy. You didn’t advance with a group with the worst team in CONMEBOL and Panama the 4th best team in CONCACAF.
Klopp, spends many frustrating hours sitting by the phone, waiting for the call to action from the USMNT.
USMNT SPONSOR'S NEED TO PRESSURE CHANGE!
Nike, Coke, AT&T, AllState, Visa, VW, Marriott, Anheuser-Busch, ticket master, New York Life, Jim Bean...
Joachim Löw should be great choice for us Dear Filippo and Dear Pete.
Would get some great bench clips
@johnwilliamson5024 Even my mom wants him to be the new coach, and besides being good, that's the main reason 😂
My Dear Anlerden, Joachim Löw has some weird habits. I do not want this German man to coach my national team, my Dear Patriot.
Pipe dream.
Joaquin Phoenix as the Joker, would be a perfect fit for the USMNT!
If we have all of these finance guys in charge and yet still do not have enough money for a top notch coach then what does that say for their ability to manage money?
They’re managing the money well, well right into their own pockets
Kasey's comments made me ill 🤢!
I watched Gomez show yesterday and when I heard Keller I was shocked about the gas light propaganda.
To keep the current coach is akin to saying this is acceptable. Making a change sends the message that it is not. I don’t even know how this is a choice.
The thing that worries me most about Cherundolo is that he is also just another "nice guy" type of coach. We need a tough no nonsense coach who has proven himself at a higher level, otherwise this is a waste.
No to dolo
Someone like Bielsa may be. But Bielsa himself is impossible. He wouldn't shake hands with half of the person in that board.
Well someone got a cease and desist… and also appeared to have a few drinks lol 😂
Soccer having a hipster fanbase here has hurt us. Imagine the NFL fanbase as diehard USMNT fans…I’m a Browns fan. Not that shit has gotten much better but damn do they know what to say lol
What a stupid post
Cheekiest comment this week has been Jesse Marsch, who, when talking about the USMNT coaching problem, quipped “they could have hired me”. Honestly though this tournament has seen Western Hemisphere refereeing at its notorious “best”.
Marsch is garbage as well
Conmebol refs don’t want concacaf to succeed it’s corrupt
As an LAFC fan, I would hate Cherundolo for USA. He’s a good but not mind blowing. He’s more of a vibes/idea man (like Gregg). Not that tactical. He can definitely handle big personalities but I don’t know if he can set a standard with our young divas. Plus LAFC is on a roll right now so selfishly I don’t want anything disrupting their season and Giroud is on the way
I'm buying 3 GTis if we get Klopp
Frl 😂
I have a gti and I’m not driving it until Berhalter is gone 😤
Kasey sounds like Roy Keane and Gary Neville when they kept defending their buddy, Solskjær at Man United.
You can f7ck off with that. Ole was a good manager for United, the Glazers fucked him over with transfers.
If you were a United fan you’d know that
Dempsey said when they hired Greg that he was not a good fit after the World Cup
GGG should be taking over the Brazil team. They need help!
I support that! (I'm Argentine by the way)
The USMNT needs a head coach with international coaching experience. Cherundolo would be an experiment…it’s NOT time for that.
Cherundolo was the assistant coach for the US, genius. Plus, he coached in Germany. THere's no need for you to just parrot Tab Ramos' line. You all do that. Just parrot points and takes from other people as if they are your own. Again, no need to just repeat what 800 people repeated already.
@@colinreese Hi Collin, actually it’s EXACTLY the time to make out opinions heard. Are you shilling for Cherundolo? Do you really think he’s the coach to take the USMNT to the next level?
@@colinreese Cherundolo was an assistant coach in Germany, genius. I shoulda been more clear…World Cup experience.
@@colinreese 🏆 for most worthless contribution, genius. Are you 12 or when was the traumatic brain injury?
It's funny how US Soccer is run by Bankers and financial people and yet the narrative is we don't have the budget to spend on a good coach.
Things will be leak before the announcement comes out. Maybe by tomorrow we will know
Why do they need to wait just to announce this? Are they really trying to find any excuse to keep him before they can him? Ecuador fired their coach right away even though they advanced and played Argentina tough.
We the fans own us soccer. As you stated they are nothing without our eyes selling ads and dollars paying bills. We might not get any return monetarily but we are their board. What we want they HAVE to do… IF AND ONLY IF as long as we are serious and actually speak their language by not supporting them through games/mech or sponsors!
The problem with US FOOTBALL goes beyond Berhalter. You Will not fix it changing the coach!
True but that's not a reason to retain an idiot! You have to start somewhere. What an asinine comment that was utterly pointless.
The México problem.
what can we expect from Matt Crocker and the board? crocker's last "extensive review and world wide search" led to nearly unanimous board approval for Gregg's rehire. this is who they are. unless they pleasantly surprise us we have got to boycott USSF
Well, if all else fails. Crocker will give you a nice cuddle, along with a nice cup of tea to cheer you up.. what else could he possibly do?
Unfortunately I am skeptical of US Soccer having the cajones to hire a reputable International manager as it would expose them to accountability, increased scrutiny from highly respected, credible sources. That quality of hire would refuse to accept a subordinate role, managing, speaking at the whim of the federations messaging.
More than likely we see another from the pool of people with few options who would be overly appreciative of an opportunity they haven't earned, acquiesce to the same ol' same ol' control from above.
All of the shrills and former US players keep saying the federation can't afford a coach, which is rediculous when other smaller nations can, but the thing that is even more rediculous is that even if they can afford a good manager, USSF has so many fine print demands for them, which is why Marsch even turned it down, that no one will take the job. You have to live in Chicago, you have to promote the sponsors and wear nike USSoccer shirts every game, you have to choose MLS based players for the roster and help promote the local league, NONSENSE!!!!!
Couple of those things, Chicago, MLS are not true.
@@johnwilliamson5024 And of course we all believe you....
@@yangguangmianbao And why would anyone believe you?
@@yangguangmianbao They announced that Atlanta will be the headquarters (so no Chicago anymore), and there were very few MLS players on the last roster, so seems like no one has to believe me, just need to be informed.
@@johnwilliamson5024 Ok, so instead of Chicago it's Atlanta, but still the same issue. The coach must live in the designated city. Also, GGG only stopped choosing lots of MLS players because of pressure from fans after he was rehired. It doesn't mean there aren't any, as I'm sure USSF will ask the coach to at least include a couple in order to promote MLS, which by the way, the Commissioner is on the board at USSF. But thank you for the information.
Great research on the management and board! These are the pressure points and will make a difference
You should watch that whole back and forth, Seb went in hard on Keller.
Cherundolo would be option number 12 or 13.
Dam Pete "lickin boots" that's getting down and dirty! Loving it!
I hope the last bit of JT Batson is true to make a splash hire if we get a great hire like Klopp or Renard this will be a turning point of US Soccer not just for team wise but the culture and the popularity of it in the country will sky rocket!!!
Go TAC, go Pete, go USA soccer fans! Fight for change! GGG out is only the first step! 👍
Yipes....did I see Mark Johnson was managing director of The Carlyle Group at one point? RED friggen flag right there. Unreal how much of the board at US Soccer are financial Wall Street types.
I would say message US Soccer with Berhalter Out, and also how ecstatic we would be about Juergen Klopp as our new coach!
I kind of hope they don't make a kneejerk hire. Just fire GGG. Potentially, have an interim handle the few inconsequential friendlies this Autumn. Wait until the Euros and Copa America is over and maybe the coaching pool will grow a bit in the weeks after those two tournaments are over and feel out what options are available up to late-August.
I believe someone had mentioned the sponsors on the ESPN segment. And then Keller seemed to be saying that if we want a sponsor to write a $20M check to pay Klopp, then perhaps we should not upset them. I understood that the underlying assumption of Keller's comment was that Berhalter is fired. If that is what Keller meant, I do not see a problem with it.
Berhalter will go back to stinking up the MLS.
Btw, I'm being that dude. Jim Beam has been aged in charred American white oak barrels for at least 4 years in the State of Kentucky making it a Bourbon, not Whiskey.
And you're still wrong. All bourbon is whiskey...not all whiskey is bourbon. Best to stay silent and be thought to be wrong than to open your mouth and remove all doubt.
Watch the movie, ‘Remember the Titans’ USMNT needs someone like a Coach Boone !!!
Watch the movie, "Revenge of the Nerds". We need someone like Coach Harris!! "Let's get those nerds"!!!
Thank you both for all that you do!!!
I've been hearing people want Low.... he would bring massive experience but not sure if that wipuld work with the federation
Demanding more from your favorite team in a respectful way isn't toxic. It should be expected if you are a fan!
Kasey sucks, his comments suck. It always looks like he watched an entirely different game.
Love yall
does anybody realize how expensive the tickets are? American Outlaws are very honorable association and support the team wherever they play.
OK so we know there are board positions that have been filled for too long by several board members, but how do board positions get replaced, does anyone know? How does someone like Garber get officially replaced? Who has that sort of power over the board in (or out of) USSF to make actual change? I honestly don't know and I'm not sure if anyone really knows. But I'd love to find out.
Props to Nelson Akwari for earning a PhD in engineering and also playing professional soccer for 10 years. That’s very impressive.
Just don’t report about Boeings’ safety standards…..
Great video about what we can all do to set up the USMNT to win and be the best in our history.
FYI Cherundolo played more games as a 1st level European player than anyone ever. I'd give him the benefit of the doubt. I still think Low is better, but let's get him in the conversation
the only sponsor ive used is truly LOL… but im there tac!
I think what people may be missing is we are likely hiring someone to implement Crocker's vision, not an actual experienced coach that will implement their own vision.
After seeing whos on the board, I wouldn't be surprised if they all just default to Don Garber for soccer decisions cause "he knows soccer"
Let’s destroy the like button 👍
So few of these members have any expertise on assessing the quality of managers/coaches. The fact they are making the decisions explains why the USMNT is adrift.
Cherundolo, is not going to move the needle for anyone. Lol, if that is the choice then it will be a pure example of how tone deaf the USSF is. Greg should never have been brought back as soon as we saw how the team was able to play under BJ Callahan. That said everything.
And yes the players need to feel the heat too. More and more coming out about to much player power. These guys need to be held accountable every practice.
The John Brooks story is nuts if true.
On how to respectfully pressure... We need to be above and beyond respectful here. They can engage in nepotism, croneyism, and all kinds of other problems, but we really have to be perfect on this.
T - M - interestig Point of view!
I agree about that point on the players at the end: they already demonstrated in previous games that they lack the grit that previous gens had, and now its clear that they value their own careers and comfort over winning. They are selfish, and they are cowards. No coach or federation should appease that kind of mentality.
Now to Klopp: He is definitely one of the top five coaches in the world. But! Klopp is a coach who needs to have constant, daily contact with his players. That doesn't happen in a national team. I'm not sure if it would be the right job for him. Because not only would the lack of player contact (probably) be a problem, it also raises a question that every US fan has to take seriously - where do they get the high quality players? We have to accept that the US team does not have enough such players. Klopp would also need a lot of leeway (like Rangnick in Austria) to have influence on academies and youth organizations. By the way, another US problem. I think that it wouldn't be a question of money for him either. OK, the association needs to add a little. Berhalter gets around 1.5 million euros a year, Klopp had 18 million at Liverpool. But Klopp is a football madman. If he can see something that he could really make a difference, you certainly wouldn't have to convince him with money. Like, for example, Yakin for Switzerland, or Sagnol for Georgia. Or Christiansen for Panama (Sorry).
A high profile manager will bring attention to the program moving into the world cup. Thats a good message to send the world to show that they respect the tournament.
Bringing in another MLS manager just means that US Soccer is just trying to push their product. It's insulting to the tournament to not select the best players and get the best manager available.
Here are some of my thoughts. But please remember that I am NOT an expert on the US team (I live in Europe). Firstly: as a fan, your job is less to “put even more pressure on the association” and more primarily to support the team on the field. Even if it loses. I've often noticed in the past that the American mentality has a hard time coping with this. Second: As for Cherundolo: he does have experience. The kind of experience that you expect from a coach in Europe - 8 years in Germany from the ground up as a junior and co-coach in an extremely well-organized environment, up to the German junior national team. From a purely historical perspective, I wouldn't consider it unsuitable.
Klopp has a legendary ability to make the right adjustments and send in the perfect situational substitutions. His teams never give up, and both fear AND adore him. He is amazing at making things work with what hes got. He would be the perfect coach for the USMNT.... but, I just don't see it happening. Its too soon for him to get back into coaching, coming from a USMNT and Liverpool fan.
We need to boycott for them to not hire Steve or any other mls coach lets make a new pressure
@TacticalManager (& Pete)~
Gents. With respect, a bone to pick. I listen to both your pods, not bc I always agree w/ your points, but bc you often tackle important points w/ a lotta relevance & you speak yer minds; I appreciate & admire that.
I'm taking exception to how you used KK's comments in that listener's Tweet & drawing conclusions - similar to how News Media do so.
Regardless of KK's positions previously, you do the practice of thoughtful, evidence-based podcasting (I know that's not the only goal of podcasting) a disservice. I'm not in ANY way backing USSF's practices - but I'd invite you to go the extra mile for due diligence when taking on such a volatile issue (even as it is pretty unanimous).
Listen to the whole pod in question
When I listen to the entire upload, I don't get his reflections being USSF "press release" 's or. 'shill-ish'. On balance, I'd argue he makes more of a case for a new coach than keeping G³.
For ex., his comments about not worrying about 5, 8, etc year plan & going and getting a, "...mercenary coach"; his statement about the benefit of players working w/ "..fear" element which he doesn't think current roster has (even as he recognizes authority has to be given-like Hayes); and his reference to dual cycle coaches - all suggest he sees merit in USSF going 'new' more than G³ being a "possible" stay (b/c, a.that IS an option, and b., as we know, they already dipped from the same well twice.
And BTW, boards of organizations are typically composed of people who are somewhat removed from the industry in question and bring other organizational expertise & are charged w/ sustaining the organization; in a lot of the board members' bios, there WAS a playing experience - some w/ USNT's. That's a decent perspective. I'm not a fan of board concepts for all orgs, but in this case, I actually think it's beneficial for NWSL, USL, & MLS reps on the board if only bc then they can keep tabs on how US Soccer comes up w/ regulations... don't we want that sort of oversight for the game in rhe US landscape??
Thanks for your content - keep giving voice to the game.
A bandaid, step-up coach for '26 is unacceptable. We need the best possible coach for '26 because that could be a huge moment for soccer in the US. It could be a sea change moment that inspires future generations.
Matt Crocker was in Germany watching Euros during USMNT loss. And he was called back to US according to Essentialy Sports 😂😢😢
Just tweeted a lot of them and left comments on instagram posts
For me the only options are Klopp or Matterazo
Need to get rid of the DEI clause the USSF has regarding paying men’s coaches the same as the women’s coaches. The US will never get a good coach paying a men’s coach the same wages as a woman’s coach! Scrap DEI!
Bravo to yall for leading this effort to get us rid of ggg.
The Cherundolo news is just disheartening. It shows that the Federation is just as corrupt and apathetic as its always been and that it's not just incompetence. They WANT the MLS trash yes-men. They WANT this team to fail.
Well at least unlike gregg he ACTUALLY WON the mls cup, made it to the finals twice and made it to a concacaf champions league final. Man's done a lot but yeah he really aint the guy we need.
Hell no to Cherundolo. It would represent low expectations and poor decision making by USSF.
Boycott the games people...don't go until they put a quality coach for the USA men's soccer team...we deserve better... Boycott
They have to have a better coach before they fire him. Marsch has a job, Bielsa has a job, is anyone in MLS really any better? I would have never let him come back after the WC, but don't just fill the role with the same stuff.
To Mr Crocker,
With all due respect to you, and with the greatest of pleas…PLEASE….
Fire Coach Berhalter.
Go after Klopp with all your powers, and PLEASE…Be the Steward of our Beloved program that you signed up for and have been given tasked to do. I’m also a HUGE Wrexham fan now. I respect your Welsh Roots. Please be here for US in OUR time of need. You signed up for this. I have no doubt…and I actually hope, this is as difficult time for you that it is for Us USMNT Fans. Because it really is. I’m a 48 year old lifer, and the stakes have never been so high coming into the ‘26 World Cup. I thank you very much for any and all consideration you may, I hope you may, give on this matter. Bless you in this difficult time and PLEASE, listen to US, the FANS who love this program so much from the bottom of our hearts. Peace
I sent this to both of Matthew Crockers emails given by you and the 11 yanks…
Hope this helps and ya’ll feel free to cut and paste and send!!
Almost too good to be true. Gregg Berhalter has lowered the bar for years. Ive almost gotten use to USMNT losing. There is still hope tho but Gregg aint it. Anybody would be better!
It’s time the USSF brings board members from the fan community to the board, a lot like the formula the teams in the Bundesliga where ownership involves fans. Until the board and the rest of the USSF is truly accountable and not a nepotistic cash gram the US will never succeed.
Chrundolo is not the answer. If US soccer wants Chrundolo after the 2026 WC the convince him to be an assistant coach on the staff of a Klopp or Hervé Renard. This would assure some continuity after the 2026 cycle.
Don't forget to cheer on Canada tommorow
If we go with Steve Cherundolo I will quit supporting this team
Listened to the Doug McIntyre comments on Cherundolo and DM brought it up as part of his own speculation. Didn't seemed tied to USSF rumors. Although, is Cherundolo a distant cousin of the Berhalters?! Asking for a friend.
Is the Klopp thing a joke or are some US fans so delusional they think its actually possible?
Soccer fans have horrible taste in fashion lmao. They new USMNT jerseys looks amazing, especially the away
This whole time, we thought Mexico was ran by a TV station and that's why they were fucked. Turns out US SOCCER is being ran exactly the same way, but by MLS and some wall st bros.
The Mexican federation has a ton of the same problems the USSF does, just on a much bigger budget. Both teams could be so much better if they were run properly.
Kasey just lost all respect from me, what a boot kicker for GGG, Greg could lose every game and these shills would defend him.. smh
The USMNT is no longer an MLS team. We need an international-level coach that has coached top players
Kasey is shilling in the name of…he doesn’t even realize he’s part of the problem.
He should have resigned after the group exit. We have more talented players now than ever, we have more players playing abroad now than ever, we have a younger roster now than ever.
We need a coach that is capable both technically and mentally to bring together these talented players that play in different systems. No American coach is able to do that because that is not the way the sport is approached here. American soccer will never go to the next level if the Federation doesn’t hire a coach who has experience to combine all these different talents. Berhalter is wasting the future of this sport in the country.
As long as Alexi Lalas is the only person speaking for USMNT, we will never be respected either. The media needs to shut that blow horn up because he is constantly throwing a young talented team under the bus and his “glory days” affect everything he says.
I mean Kasey is right that fans are just a part because in the US that’s the truth. We have no grass roots fan culture because of how all of our professional sports are built, they’re just money making organizations. The fans have absolutely zero say. We aren’t members with voting power, we are simply spectators. Nothing we do will have any real impact on the decisions the team makes.
There’s no reason to do it in a peaceful respectful way
It’s simple federation doesn’t care about how’s the game going in the states
Hires terrible coaches and then wants the fans to be nice? After wasting time, resources for inadequate product!?
Screw that be Loud and clear, being respectful has done nothing. Use your voice to speak out against this terrible display
Lol Keller what a schill! Gutless just like the new GK Matt Turner! Both of them not fit to represent the stars and stripes!
No to Cherundolo
Every word that kasey keller has said up to now its to defend gregg his fa ial expression show how he wants to keep his friend he does not want changes they only want regression.
Get the best coach money can buy.
Get the manager from Colombia crew or Pachuca
No. It can't be a former defender. We are a front foot, attacking side with youth and energy.
