The craziest part was that the American broadcast was not showing any of this chaos and the Spanish channel was showing cops beating the hell out of people and throwing Colombian fans off the ledges 💀
Sad to say, but this is very common in Colombia. Even people that afford a ticket do this for fun. Hard to think why the stadium security was not checking tickets prior to entering into the parking lot -which is what they do for superbowls.
I'm sure they'll learn from this. And now people will complain why there are so many perimeters and security checks. And why ticket prices have gone up.
As a Brazilian, I can say that this is something common in South America. People go to the stadium with or without a ticket, trying any chance to get in. Every game is like this. Welcome to the Latin American adventure.
Yeah you guys can keep that shizz to yourselves. My family is full Latino but as a born & raised American I still don't respect this. We're both to blame but Conmebol more, it's their tournament, they call the shots, including security detail. This didn't happen in 2016 but somehow it happens now?
Tac your videos were all over the news, Spanish and English!! You had better coverage of this disaster than media did!! Thank you for calling this trash event-organization out!!
Great citizen journalism. Jesse Marsch has just stated that he spoke to Conembol officials prior to the tourney. He was amazed at their lack of knowledge of everything from weather to stadium infrastructure.
I wondered about your safety Tac. Glad to see you are ok. FIFA I hope you see this for the WC. For causal American fans who will get into this sport because of the WC. This is Life for these countries and these fans. This is going viral.
