Good video. Well edited and all. I would have preferred some visuals or info on how the battery fit in the truck over better looking AC90 plugs though. A video about batteries and the longest closeup of the truck showed no batteries in it lmao. So how was the fitment? The Xmaxx battery tub is an odd beast. Even knowing the dimensions doesn't always help as the batteries are not exact in dimension from one sample to the next (they pretty close). For bashing I like some room for padding.

What voltage should the lipos be at lvc mine cut off at 3.8v per cell is that right?
Buddy, I love the zee lipos. I run the same in my 6s slash....witch Is nuts. But on the 4s zee I get about 40min run time and it's still a lil crazy. I'm glad I'm not the only one on the zee train.

Good info bud. That X-Maxx is TOUGH LOL. I wish you would have hooked a voltage tester on both batteries after you ran them down to show what each cell was after low voltage cut off. Traxxas and Arrma's LVC's are much too low. Internal resistance would be a great number to know after letting them sit overnight. Thanks for vid

Buying a rock and roll xmaxx tomorrow and great info on batteries deciding if I buy the traxxas 6700 4s battery pack for $379.99 plus tax now undecided plus I dont have a dual lipo battery charger yet so more research I guess!
If you want to keep the traxxas warranty but you want cheaper batteries (like the zeee 9000mah which are only $170 for two) then buy an adapter, no need for soldering or modification etc.. if you can't, I'm sure your local hobby shop will do it for a small fee 😀

Do the Zee batteries have more punch than Traxxas batteries? I know they have a higher C rating. But can you feel a difference in punch?

How have these held up? I'm kind of disappointed with my runtimes; I'm only getting about 25-30min on the 4S 10000mah packs (Stock XRT). To be fair, I am running the truck pretty much full throttle 75% of the time in a huge gravel lot. Still seems kind of low for a 10000mah battery 🤷🏻♂️
I like these batteries but run times vary so much!

i wish you mentioned were the full power response sort of started to fade away on it. cause i mean its easy to hit 30 minutes if you dont count the not full power response for a battery time.
All batteries are more powerful when fully charged and continue to drop voltage over time, once that voltage goes to low, the esc will hit lipo cut off. That to me, is how long a battery lasts and what I showed in this video.

If you don't want to change your connectorz thats fine, just ask your local hobby shop for an adaptor or you can buy one of the internet 😀
What do you charge them with
Nice video, just bought my new X maxx and havnt bought batteries or a charger yet. What do you recommend for a nice charger to charge 2 of these? Also the link takes you to amaxon but the battery is no where to be seen. Maybe they discontinued it or something?
I'll check the link when I get the chance, I just links to the zeee store so everyone had a choice, ill comment another link soon.
As for a charger, I am using a skyrc D100 v2, that will charge two batteries at once up to 10a each and up to 6cell each.
I'd say it's a good mid range charger 😀
@@MatthewSimm Okay. That charger is under rated on watts for one of those batteries let alone 2. With a 4 cell and 8500 Mah u need close to 150 watts per battery to charge it at 1C. your only charging at 50 watts each which is really low and can damage the battery's. to figure out how many charging watts u need per battery you take the voltage (14.8) and multiply by the battery Mah then divide by 1000. 14.8x8500=125,800/1000=125.8 watts per battery for charging.
9000mah is the number, love Zeee bateries have a couple of em

Can you charge these with an 80amp venom dual charger or do you need the 100amp
Check the charging channel Amps, it should say 10A
I bought the Zeee 9000/100c lipos for my new xmaxx. but when i drive it it cuts out during full throttle. I do modulate the throttle a lot so maybe that causes to much current flowing. anyone else having similar issues? With the high speed pinon it is even worse..
Have you tried other batteries? To see if it is actually the batteries.
Will those batteries fit a stock xmax and what I mean is no customizing parts or w.e will it just plug and play or do I have to upgrade my esc
Yes you can just plug and play, all you need is a traxxas adaptor, you can buy them at your local hobby shop, or on the internet 😀
All I did in this video was change the Connectors, everything else is stock out of the box 😀

Fromy understanding the new V2 Maxx has the same size battery tray as the Xmaxx?

Xmaxx tray is bigger. On paper, this battery will be 1.5mm too wide but it may still fit, that's a risk you may or may not want to take haha

Oh nice dude! You'll love it. No the xmaxx runs perfect with these, it may have got a little warm due to the long run time but I haven't had any issues and I'm still using those batteries today.

No worries. With the stock setup, I'd only recommend going with the optional 50 tooth spur, but I'd also recommend getting hardened steel pinion and spur as traxxas gears can be weak, some have good luck, others have bad luck.

100% dude, i love it, i did have to upgrade to rpm bearing and hubs at the rear but its really durable, i took a beating at the skate park in this video (Some clips i didn't include because of bad camera angles etc..) and it didn't break

All you need is an adapter.
You local hobby shop can make up adaptors to fit, it shouldn't cost much.

No they are completely different connectors, I changed them but you will loose your warranty if you change your connector but an adapter is fine as you are NOT modifying the car. I highly suggest talking to your local hobby shop they'll be able to help you more 😀

Good Video mate, 😊👌 Most likely come from the same manufacturing plant in china as a more expensive brand, just get yourself a cheap cell checker & keep an eye on the cell voltages.
i have ordered some Zee 2S 8000mah 100C lipos for my summit, overkill i know but should last me quite some time (eg. Cycle life span) as im not stressing them much at all.
Yeah I think they do they are just separated by grade, don't quote me though haha!

So is xt90 connector a traxxas connector?
No it's not, traxxas only use the Traxxas ID Plug but you can get an adapter if you don't want to cut the original connector ofd
Zeee batteries are really great value. I have quite a few now. That’s pretty amazing 50mins on the X-Maxx. I really want one but worried it’s another money pit for me as I have so many cars already. I think I will be good and stick to my Maxx.
I totally understand! The xmaxx (and most large scale rc cars) can be quiet expensive, especially when you need two big batteries for one decent run, that's why I use my smaller 1/10th scale rc cars more often.
But, if you get the chance to drive an xmaxx, say good bye to your money 🤣🤣

My xmaxx makes my slash look like a little baby. Parts are maybe X2 compared to a 1/10 scale but not always. Bodys and tires will be hundreds in the long run.

I probably would run deans dude, they will heat up too much for 4s, I would have stuck with the xt90s, that's what I'm currently using

Not the 9000mah, but the 7000mah batteries are a perfect fit, that's what I use. The 9000mah are just a hair too big

I dont believe 50 minutes, you must have been really babying it.
I wad giving it what I thought was a fair run, a few full throttle pulls, some regular running and some slow running. It's hard to be super accurate with these tests 😕

I run all my RCs on DXF Lipos. I have nothing bad to say about them.. Good price/value ratio and a pretty solid brand that stands behind it's products :)

im actaully going to upgrade the gearing, im just waiting for a new fan to come in
20/50 is a really sweet spot for me but currently running 22/50 on 6s and pretty happy with it. Had it on 8s but I ruined one cell in each battery by using them on my drift cart so I had to make 3s packs out of them lol
Their website is terrible! Can't find OR SORT for a 14.8v 4s 100+C battery.

You can get 4 Youme 6500mah for the same price as 2 of these! And you get almost the same punch! So 26 000mah vs 18 000mah for the same price..choice is simple! 🤷♂️
