Thank you everyone for stopping by this video to check out Edinburgh's Vegan Eats scene! One of you lovely peeps has pointed out that the Cauldron Cumberland saussies are no longer vegan, which is a massive bummer - but thought I'd pin it up here to prevent confusion! So sorry for that 😭
Great video, and date night sorted for next trip into Edinburgh. The Simon Howie breakfast pack has really nice Cumberland style sausages, and vegan square sausage too, as well as the tasty vegan black pudding 😋.
This made my heart sing. I am planning my 3rd Edinburgh trip for next year and needed some guidance on vegan/veggie places for my wife and I. This was exactly what I needed
Yussss so happy to provide for one of my long time peeps!! .) The choice seems to be really good in town, although of course the times are quite hard on small businesses, fingers crossed all these wonderful places continue being popular and stick around!
I visit Edinburgh a lot and I’m vegan but there were actually two places in this video I hadn’t heard of before so thank you!! Also, sorry to point it out, but you made a small mistake in the video, the cauldron sausages aren’t vegan unfortunately. They did make them be vegan for a little while I think but now they’ve added egg in them again, you can see it when you showed the ingredients in the video. Super awesome video though, thank you ❤️
Oh my god that’s such a bummer! That makes me a bit bitter about them now, surely it wouldn’t kill them to omit a bit of EGG 😭 thanks for letting me know! The chorizo ones hopefully won’t let us down 🥲
Hello, I’m watching your UA-cam everyday these days 😁 I’m planning to go to Edinburgh for the first time in February, soon! I’m an English teacher for kids in Japan. And I show your UA-cams to my students recently, too😊 I’ll have only 3 days there this time, so your UA-cam really helps me to decide where I’ll go. I just wanna say thank you! I’m so excited to get there!
Aww that so cute that you shared some of the videos with your students too!! I’m sure it was exciting for them to see where you’re planning to travel .)
I just did flight back today from Edinburgh, we went to 'Arcade' on Saturday evening it was AMAZING !!! ... I now have to come back to test those ones ;-)
Thank you for this! I’m in the process of applying to study abroad in Edinburgh this fall, and I’m a vegetarian, so this will be very helpful! Can’t wait for the next video in the series!
@@StimParavane I definitely plan to! I’ve been wanting to move to Scotland for a few years now, so this study abroad is going to be my trial run to make sure I enjoy it before I move more long term.
@@emgladerc1756 Being a student in Edinburgh is a dream location. To really blow your mind you should come during August when the largest performing arts festival in the world runs for the whole month. There are over 500 venues with performers from all over the world.
I’m abroad right now in Edinburgh , and have been wanting to be here for years!! I really love the city so far, and I’m sure you’ll find many great spots. There are so many cafes and cute little restaurants, and most places have really good veggie options!!
Great video! We are currently visiting Edinburgh and want to do a grocery shop before we move onto a more rural location. Which supermarkets stock the best vegan options?
Heya!!Yep Being Vegan got me interested to watch this!! We can't wait (Presently living in Australia -blah!!!) Moving to Edinburgh in 2 years for good!! Yahoooooo!!!!
We stay in Edinburgh 3 or 4 times a year so thanks so much for some new suggestions to try. We were gutted that our usual goto vegan restaurant (which shall remain nameless) has hiked there prices so much and their quality has gone down so we're desperate for new places to try and you have nailed it 👍
Oh no! ...well now I kinda wanna know the gossip.... :D I gotta say that some of these spots felt quite pricey to me too, but thankfully (or tragically?) in a way that made me go "Goddammit everything about this is exactly what I wanted so now I guess I just have to come here every week and shell out 15 quid on lunch". 😭😅
@@Kakibot £15 would be too bad - the place we used to love is suddenly charging £18 for a basic spaghetti olio aglio e peperercino, which is the most basic pasta dish imaginable (and was sat in a puddle of oil - yuk!) and the killer for me is that we got charged £27 for a bottle of house white. I kid you not!
To double check, will any of the restaurants in this video be open during the last two weeks of February? These are the days I will be in Scotland. Thanks in advance.

Holy Cow is really nice. Took a pal there. It's right near the bus station if you need a meal coming in or leaving the city.
Great tip! Walked around it a couple of times but will admit it keeps slipping my mind - will take a note! .)
Looks so delicious. As an aspiring vegan who is planning to visit Edinburgh, this is pure gold!
Yay! So glad it’s appreciated.)
Some top tips, in Edinburgh for a few days and will definitely try these. Thanks for sharing!

Great. I've been wanting to go to Sen Viet. Thanks for the review.

The Cauldron Lincolnshire sausages are the best.
I always preferred the Cumberland seasoning but Lincolnshire ones are also lovely, agreed! ❤️
Not vegan!

also found the map super helpful btw!!

I'm not vegan, and these were all delish. Would thoroughly recommend :) Where else would you all recommend?
Another small hidden place is Susie's Vegetarian Kitchen in Marchmont. Lovely relaxed place if you want a hidden gem that's less fancy than Pulse.
Oooh interesting! Gotta put it on my list!

Fantastic video!
Thank you, my best vegan eats bud!!! 🌱❤️
5:34 there is egg inside those sausages
What did you think of that waiter in Sen Viet Vegan lol? A bit aloof
