Thank you, that was really helpful! Have any of the OS issues you mentioned there been improved through recent updates? I'm considering purchasing this as it's currently available at a discounted price.
Thank you! To be perfectly honest, decent AirPlay-supported projectors are hard to find, and i've not personally tested one yet so i'd feel uneasy to recommend one at the moment. I'm sorry, I realise how totally unhelpful that is!
Thanks a lot! I actually set the projector up on my tripod for the sake of the video. For a more long term solution i'd perhaps try and place it on a side table - but sadly I don't actually have a dedicated stand (other than the tripod)
I think it's still good as an all in one device. But I recently reviewed their Capsule 3 Laser on the channel and I now find it hard to recommend the cosmos instead. I think they're the same price but I prefer the capsule. So maybe look into that one? It's here if you're interested: ua-cam.com/video/2WANdAoPGQ8/v-deo.html
@insidetechltd Hi Thanks for the advice and reply to both messages. The capsule looks good but at 300ANSI seems maybe too low for day to day usage. Maybe more suited for students or people who travel a lot. The cosmos comes in at 900 ANSI lumens - nearly tripe the amount. But lot older then the current projectors available like capsule and xgimi. Thanks for the help, trying to save and get best value 👍
That's a very valid point. One thing I would say is that the laser tech does offset the lumens difference. The contrast it brings really helps. But even so I expect you'll want something with a bit more brightness either way. Sorry I couldn't be much help, I hope you find a good one though!
I'm not sure what you mean exactly by 'without zooming in', because it depends on how far you place the projector away from the projection surface. But the maximum screen size is 120 inches
It looks like the guidance has changed now and there is a way to navigate it through the app on your phone. Does this fully replace the remote though? Can you not still use the regular remote for it?
I believe the download process may have changed slightly since I made this video. Maybe reach out to Nebula directly and they'll give you the best answer!
Yes and yes. My setup was about 3 metres away giving 100" screen size. You can also have the projector at the side and use the correction to make the image appear flat
Damn nice, cus my room if i put it in the middle is max 2,3m, but if i put it beside my bed i can have over 4m. That sounds nice, gonna order it now for 699€ :) Thank you very much and left you a sub! Oh and forget to ask, did you try gaming? Like on a Console, how about the lag?
Thanks a lot! Yes, I certainly tried gaming, hopefully you saw quite a lot of that in the video. In game mode with a PS4 Pro, there was no lag - it's very good for gaming in that regard!
Just returned my Projector, in total it's nice, fast and does a good sharp picture. But the biggest problem is that even if you use it in a dark room, the movies always look very dark and animated movies like minions or animes in total look very dark and not colourful. The speakers sounded ok. But im gonna return it. My 399€ Beamer Xiaomi Smart Projector had a better picture brightness and more colours. For 700€ i expect something good.
@@saeednaoki3259 i already had the cosmos and just sent it back. It's to dark for me and not worth 700€. Just bought the XGIMI H2 and tomorrow i get it :)
You can download Air Screen App. I mirror my iPhone and play content from my phone to the projector like Airplay, it appears on your device like Miracast. Works well for me.
Almost none - well below the threshold for game mode on a tv or equivalent monitor. Not as good as a professional/gaming monitor, but good enough for console gaming for sure

Excellent detailed review.. Possibly the best on this projector. Great job!
Thanks a lot!
Thank you for an impartial & thorough review! Inside Tech is becoming a 'Go To' for trustworthy unboxings!
No greater compliment really, thank you very much!

hi, did you purchase it ? I have been thinking of purchasing too. Would like suggestion whether to go for this or not
Excellent review, I am in two minds now. Limited storage and no airplay being an issue. Would you suggest any alternatives at a similar price point?

Just add an Apple TV with couple of Homepods 😭sorry expensive
Congrats... this was a really good video!!
Any chance that we will get XGIMI Horizon Projector review from you? the 1080p model
Thank you!
I'll be honest, it's unlikely. But if enough people want it, then of course i'll do it!
Thank you very much, was looking for a good review of the projector and finally you explained and tested everything perfectly :D
Glad I could help!
Very useful review 🙂 does it support Amazon prime?
Yes it has Amazon Prime video
@@insidetechltd Thanks for your reply

Did anker send this to you directly for review OR an amazon reseller?
There will be no more than 2 updates. Like with nebula prism 2 plus. Good review!!
Thank you!
Hi
Great review in 2023, seen some really good reviews on the channel. How does the projector compare to the Foremovie S5? Thank You = )
Thanks a lot! I've not tested that projector before i'm afraid - sorry!
@insidetechltd
No probs thanks for the reply 👍
Would you still recommend this projector in 2023 for occasional usage?
Thank You

Just ordered, good review.

Any projectors that offer similar functions like Chromecast with a better image? I was set on this until you highlighted brightness issue
XGIMI HALO
Do I need a cell phone to install or use this device (I have wlfi and a PC).
You can set it up without one 👍🏼
How did you get the Netflix app running? I only got some weird Touchscreen version when downloading it through the nebula manager

Maximum 500 Lm here
can you sideload apps?
You can
why do you say its portable when you always need a power adapter
Sorry of that was misleading, I just meant it in the literal sense of being relatively easy to move around
@@insidetechltd no worries. great review tho. I just got mine and totally happy with the quality
Ah that’s great to hear!
can you use this projector if youre iphone user ?
Yes! You don't get the easy set up process at start like on Android, but it's still easy enough and all the other features work fine

Buy the Vankyo 600 for $150 and thank me later

Nah, it's a highly intelligent dog
There's snarky, then there's rude. You somehow managed both in two sentences.
In the video it seems that the projector isn’t that bright. Is that the case?
I think it looks a little bit better in real life, but only just. It's not the brightest projector in the world
