How Old To Become A Waiter? Can You Be A Server Under 18?

Many high schoolers and younger folks who want to work as servers ask how old they have to be to become a waiter.
It turns out that it really depends on the state you live in and the state laws regarding the age you can serve alcohol. For most states you must be 18 to serve alcohol, but there are a few exections, some requiring you to be 21 and others 17.
