Personally I think this a pretty neat dlc, we're getting something that is improving the visual and possibly the performance of all the vehicles in the game
From someone that grew up in the mud and 45 years later still play in it all the time in both my jeeps, my monster blazer that has won several mud bogs, with 52s on it have tractors, skid steer all kinds of equipment and have been a professional mechanic for about 30 years those tires are backwards. Turned the right way they will clean the mud out of the tread so the tires keep more traction. The only reason you see some people occasionally mount them that way is so they have traction in reverse for after they are stuck to try to back out.
As soon as I got the rim and tire pack I went through my garage and started fitting every truck with the new stock. Definitely a fresh new look on all the vehicles. 2 thumbs up!
It’s also for displacing water outwards etc. crap DLC should be free, or do you have to pay for this! Idiots at Saber can’t even make tyres correctly. Ironically, I’ve just fitted a Michelin City Grip 2 to my motorcycle.
@stumpusMaximus yeah I love this game but I hate that they don't prioritize bug fixing and instead make paid content that should be free to everyone. just the world we live in I guess
Also, yeah, the tread of the one tire set is backwards but some tires (tractor tires or similar) are meant to be used either way, depending on the terrain (mud/snow/sand).
The Rezvani looks badass like that. It looks like a dedicated mud bogger. Also, the front fenders aren't as wide as the rear fenders, so it looks like they're sticking out a lot more or sitting uneven but they look even. I wish the Silverado K1500 sat as wide.
@@teleMenace they are not. Just a regular template with asphalt grip boosted up to 3.0 (more than scout highway tires have). The same goes for H2, Jeep and Land Rover special tires.

When I was playing today I was thinking the direction on the tires looked wrong. A great side effect of the DLC is now the Scout 800 is more stable with the DLC tires. As for grip the reality after looking at the numbers the DLC tires are only slightly better. This is not game breaking. They are however poorly gated for the scouts so you can get mud tires at the very start of the game. This makes the chevy very capable very early in the game.
the croc gains 1 inch 42's to now 43's . and zikz 566a gains 4 inches.(however i think its incorrect) idk how many trucks got wider tires but the CK1500 and rezvani have very noticeably wider tires. adding stability. it looks like u got some of these by the end of the video though.
Still undecided about this DLC. I know that it will surely benefit players who are new to SnowRunner and others who aren't that far into the game. But I'm currently at 91% of overall completion all with vanilla trucks: while there seem to be some interesting tyre sets, this DLC feels a bit "too little too late" to me. It should have been released together with regions like Amur. If Saber plans to release more regions after Season 12, then maybe I'll buy this DLC. Cheers! //Rick
Most likely, they'll keep us busy with more regions until the next game comes out. You can still buy this dlc even if you are at 91%. I know people that completed the game, and they're doing a new game plus and have their games set up the way they want it.
The tires om the apache are actually correct. If you've ever seen a skid-steer, they're usually mounted the same way. The direction of the tread increases traction and is less likely to "dig" by forcing the material toward the center of the tread pattern rather than toward the outside. (I also used to mud-drag with similar tires and learned the hard way)
I have NEVER seen a properly mounted set of chevron tires with the chevron pointing "up". From farm tractors, to monster trucks, to mega mud trucks, to UTVs and ATVs, to front end loaders and skid-steers. The chevron points down to move mud out from under the tire. You even said it in your comment. Why would pulling mud under your tire help with any kind of traction?
@@ktrocknerd I'm in the midwest. You want the material UNDER your tires, not AROUND your tires. That'll just dig you in and strand you in deep mud. We've always mounted them this way AND a lot of the ones I've mounted we're uni-directional with arrows AND wording stamped on them indicating mounting and rotational direction.
