I am not typically a person to read manhwa, but after tapping into Windbreaker, I would have to start reading some more. Windbreaker is quite frankly one of the BEST manhwa and stories I have ever read and I personally believe that, Windbreaker as an animation would possibly break the internet and become a cult classic. With a wide variety of genres covered and the incredible art and style, nothing really compares to Windbreaker the manhwa (by Yongseok Jo).

They are two distinctly different series' and I've noticed that people have been mixing them up!

I feel like Wind Breaker just generally understands and knows how to do character building so well!
Honestly everyone’s character development is amazing even some side characters, especially vinnys
I love how accurate the bikes and techniques are and it made me appreciate my fixie even more

WIND BREAKER IS SO GOOOD. It's whole story line and characters are so well written. It just literally took me 4 days to caught up to latest chapters because that's how great it is.
Windbreaker deserves wayy more hype!! Like it’s got the best plot and art is sick, I bet if they made an Anime or Live-Action adaptation to give it more publicity it would go off!!

@@ItsDang Ehh idk tbh, i personally dont see it, cause like the "best" part about windbreaker is the art so seeing it in the live action would be like so weird and i also cant rlly see them making the bike scenes and all that as good as they are in the manhwa. But then again i could be very wrong
I agree with you 💯 tbh, WINDBREAKER is the 1st manhwa I’ve read & it really set the bar too high. From the art improvement of the author & the plot itself is so good.. I thought this is gonna be boring cz its sports manhwa & I only read it cz of JayShelly but later on I found myself so attached to this story! 😍 I am also rooting for WB animation just like what they did to Lookism. Surely, a lot of ppl would recognize how good this manhwa is 🔥
The story of Windbreaker is honestly too underrated! Like you said, sport manhwa and manga tend to be the same but Windbreaker just stands out from the pack with deep characters and an interesting story (along with great art as well 😊)

It’s probably cause from the view of someone who doesn’t know how good it is, it looks like a cycling manhwa which can seem boring
Also the art in the beginning while good does not even compare to the latest chapters so maybe new readers are thrown off by the art style in the beginning chapters
When I first started reading it I was surprised to see how much fighting there was, that only made it better tho
It's a mixed bag of genres and thats what makes Windbreaker so good. A little bit of something for everyone
i came to know about windbreaker because i kept seeing content online on the 'jay jo' haircut. i kept digging on the origins of this haircut trend & here i am.

Imo Wind Breaker is what Air Gear would have been if it (pun intended), remained grounded. Action scenes, interesting plots and immaculate drip from both series.

My girlfriend made me read it and, given the chapter count, I thought it would take me months to get up to date with it.
Nope. I literally finished the 500 current chapters in less than 2 weeks, the last 300 in 5 days.

Came here after wind breaker got an anime
ive had wind breaker on my WTR (Want-To-Read) list on anime planet for god knows how long. but just have never gotten around to it. ive seen it has ALOT of chapters which is great cause i dont typically read anything under 50 chapters. because if i get hooked i spend the rest of the day depressed cause there wasn't any more chapters to read... been trying to figure out if i should read wind breaker for months now. but i guess this is the deciding factor

This is defo one of all time favs sports series like haikyuu and slam dunk. This is defo like uwamushi pedal but a bit more harder due to them using Fixie unlike uwamushi who has RB or road bikss which has brakes. Fixie is different and is the hardest to use but if you train well you can use it its basically a fixed gear bike with no brakes but just the crank which is a way to stop also this is also a bit deliquent like so yeah this is amazing.
Is windbreaker like lookism or how to fight? And I wish the boxer gets an anime adaptation
Not really. Something more along the lines of a Slam Dunk (manga) or a traditional sports manga with more of a drama flavour. There's some action don't get me wrong but not in the barefists brawling every chapter kind of deal.

Saw shorts of it while searching for windbreaker reaction vids (the anime) and i got curious so i gave it a try. spoiler alert: i finished it in like 3days lmaoo, def in my top 3 (this manwa has set the bar too high and i cannot find anything good enough to read RIP)

Haven't read enough of Lookism, but if it means anything, Windbreaker is probably my favorite manhwa

The manhwa is relatively similar to most other "slice of life action" manhwa, where it is relatively slower than your average action manhwa (any action manhwa) but faster than a straight up slice of life. I think if you're not into character development, relationship building and long narratives you should probably not commit the full way, personally. If you're into these types of manhwa, read like 10 chapters and keep going if you like the narrative (if you like in the first few, you'll for sure like the rest)
Also see that you're a fan of One Piece and I would assume action manhwa! If you're looking stuff like that as well, I suggest Infinite Gatcha (video on my channel), Omnipotent Reader and Nano Machine for decent reads. If you're new to manhwa, I suggest Solo Leveling as it's the easiest read.
And a sleeper manhwa that I personally think my be one of the best new action manhwa (if not best) is Wild West Murim. Absolute banger with only about 30 chapters right now and ongoing. Cheers!

Yep. Also the artstyle is kinda stiff for the first 200 chapters but then it's gets so good to the point where i think it has one of the best manhwa artstyles outthere. There artist went hard.
