I remember watching it ages ago, the show's name in Arabic was "The world of Chaos" which sounded mega cool. And for some reason the English spelling was Chaotix/Chaotics instead of Chaotic.
I really think Chaotic would succeed if it came out again; the concept of turning INTO the monsters really helped it stand out from the other card games
Agreed. Especially with VRchat, Vtubing, and the appeal of turning into an “avatar” or just wanting to become a non-human species (looking at you, furries) is growing in popularity in recent years.
This show had a very amazing premise. The idea of becoming the monsters you use to fight in a battle is so incredible. I had active Daydreams with this idea a lot
I actually wish I knew about this show at the time it was on. I was born in 2003, so I grew up with a little bit of Kids WB but I watched the CW 4Kids more, though I never did see Chaotic as part of the line up despite how I would get up every morning to watch Saturday morning cartoons. Years later, as I got older, I found out about this show and began to watch some episodes, and now I wish I did know about this show years later as it just screams 2000s vibes all over it 😱😀😃😄😁🥹
@@lopezroilans.8384 Hey! Please go to the CardfightVanguard official channel and watch the first, original series when you get the chance man. It's so much better, I promise if you liked current vanguard you will LOVE the original series, it doesnt feel dated at all and it's beyond amazing. It shows more of the fights and uses more 'realistic' themes in the cardfights themselves.
The coolest thing about Chaotic, for me, was how the strategies shown were usually pretty sound or usable in the actual (as in irl) game! It made the show actually sell me on the card game, as opposed to just being a show I liked with a card game
I liked that the characters didn't always win, especially since they often played each-other, it made the games more interesting since it could go either way.
I loved the lore this show had. How the characters took risks to scan the cards to use in their game while there's also factions at war outside of their safe space. The creatures had their own lives, secrets, conflicts, and the players learned from it for their own battles while also helping the creatures from time to time.
Yea it was a truly beautiful show and should defend be brought back with modern tech and graphics being able to up the graphics so much would be amazing
@Elijah okay yeah totally. I even imagined wanting a scanner. Although these days our modern cell phones are the closest thing to them. If it ever came back as a digital game, I'd play it. And if possible, get a phone case centered on it.
I always thought the idea of the main characters supporting different factions was so cool. Really inviting you to explore the world from different angles.
Same here. One of them was the introduction to the world by getting sucked in, and the other being involved in some sort of cheating scandal. Although knowing nothing about the game itself I had no idea in what way he cheated. Edit: I think it was some sort of invalid equipment? I remember it had to do with a jetpack he wasn't supposed to have had.
i wish more media would do this, usually they just pick a "good" faction and thats the one the main cahracter belongs to and any other faction is either exclusionary and wont let anyone outside a select group join (like you have to be born into it) or the other factions are evil or amoral.
@@dyciefisk2535 Not sure what you're talking about, but the biggest cheating incident was in the Season 1 finale where Tom was revealed to have been cheating by rigging the locations of the match.
@@coranbaker6401 Funnily enough, if you watch the next few episodes, there's a twist to the cheating scenario as well. Well over a decade since I watched the show, I still think it was a really clever move. I don't quite remember the details building up to it, but iirc Kaz and Tom had some legitimate beef at the time Kaz made the accusation, which really helps sell the whole thing.
This is a show that was way ahead of its time, making it so you could take the cards you purchased in real life and use them on the website in online battles was super cool.
it was only tactic to destroy the secondary market. the code makes redeemed cards obsolete for reselling purposes, encouraging you to purchase sealed product so you can get the code as well
I really liked how they could scan a creature who just used some sort of buff or mugic and end up with a better stat creature, like wise the time when tangeth was sick with a cold and had lower stats. Really made the world feel alive and gave the creatures personality and agendas. All the story arcs were amazing.
The idea of YOU having to go into the wild as your "starter" monster card in order to defeat, scan and therefore obtain others to your arsenal is very very cool imo, I was really into the show at the time. Though I seem to remember I got a little frustrated as kid bc the MC would scan awesome creatures all the time but would almost always use the same main creature anyway lol.
Chaotic was my childhood. It's still one of my favorite cartoons growing up in the 2000's. It's a good thing that the whole series is on UA-cam. I still plan on making animatics based on the show just for fun.
I would’ve wanted more episodes focusing on the mystery behind the code masters and how they came to be!…. Are they like basically the iT staff at the Chaotic domain??? How in the heck were they able to get involved with basically mixing algorithms with what is essentially digitized bio organic chemical engineering mixed with programming digits??? Anyone else wondering how it’s even possible for what happens when, transforming into seemingly fictional icons that are otherwise not fictional; but, real life organic beings somehow being replicated through digital programming??? I solemnly sear to god that this could’ve made for a great video game also!… Combine that with a chaotic character creation tool art similar to Dragon Ball Xenoverse or even Dragon Ball The Breakers’ character creation set piece collection and I promise you. The real challenge would be animating how every anthropomorphic creature you scan and play as, maneuver their way over terrain or other landscapes when searching for your opponent to fight while also dodging attacks!….. I mean I was stoked at such an amazing prospect!….. Imagine doing that 1 hundred and 1 VS 1 hundred and 1 type face off like Tom did with that “Peyton” fellow I think his name is???
Marillian Invasion was easily Chaotic at it's peak. Their Lovecraftian nature really helped them stand out from the other races in the show, and aside from Von Blut, they were the first true villains the series ever had. The fact that the Code Masters had to actually shut down the gates connecting Chaotic to Perim further highlights just how dangerous they were.
storytelling yes, but animation wise I personally loved the first season, because the last 2 reminded me of totally spies to mutch also, am I the only one who thinks the show's overarching storytelling pacing was a bit fucky???
@@wackpool1491 Though I always liked watching Chaotic, the first season always gave me some frustration back then, since there were less unique angles, and the frontal view for many characters looked odd at best. I get that the faux/French-Italian anime look isn't for everyone, but I was one of those who preferred it over the flash, especially since the quality of animation jumped with the change as well. (Also animating in flash is notoriously bad for many so I hope the production staff did not have those problems.)
@@wackpool1491 Yeah, I can definitely agree with the storytelling being a bit messy. Aside from Marillian Invasion, which was built up throughout the entirety of Season 2, and the storyline where Von Blut stole Maxor's courage, there were a lot of story arcs that never really went anywhere, were too short, or never received proper endings. Prexxor Chasm was two episodes split between Seasons 1 and 2, with a whole lot of space in between; the possibility of Von Blut going back in time and assassinating the ancestors of Maxor and Chaor, plus the whereabouts of Najerin's son, were never expanded upon; and the "Secrets of the Lost City," for which the Final Season was named, didn't actually reveal any secrets, as far as I can remember.
I never stopped thinking about chaotic. the game was so cool and unique. I remember seeing an ad for chaotic's physical game in a beckett yugioh magazine and thinking it was so cool looking that I started watching the show despite being repulsed by the art style. when the game came out, I went to target and got both starter decks. I really hope it comes back.
Becoming the creature and fighting others was really cool. Also going to the creatures home world just to be able to expand your "selection" of cards to use in Vs gave it that risk it for the biscuit feel. I liked it.
I loved it when characters took on certain memories and behaviors of the creatures they took on. Adds a new layer to the concept, but it's a shame they only used that idea a few times.
Memories of the creatures were used pretty consistently in fights, even in the very first episode. What I loved, and wish they did more often, was have the game they’re playing actually interact with the A-plot in Perim One of my favourite episodes was when real Chaor was going to fight real Van Bloot, so Kaz went and found a high level Van Bloot player to 1v1 in Van Bloot’s castle, so he could go tell real Chaor what tricks he’d use That’s a really cool, unique part of the show that was entirely unique to Chaotic Also loved when Prexxor Chasm had a giant parasite killing all the creatures, so Tom would go there in games with every creature and battlegear he could think of, to try and find a way to stop it, risk-free
i like that one episode where tom used a relativly weak but smart monster and used his memoris of a certain location to find all these hidden areas and secret routes to trick and ambush another player to win a fight
My memories of this show are really foggy, but I distinctly remember one Overworlder getting infected with a Danian parasite (I think that was the term) and Tom had scanned him only for the parasite to trigger in the middle of match while he was playing as him, which caused him to realize what had happened and immediately forfeit to go warn them. Other than that, I remember the time Tom took a stab playing with Underworlders which made Kaz jealous, Peyton getting into a battle of the sexes only to confuse everyone when he won but it turned out he was the one using female creatures while his female opponent used male creatures, and that time the creatures invaded the human world only for it to be a dream (honestly weak), Kaz getting that one creature that's actually two, and War Beasts and M'arrillians being introduced. That's literally everything I remember about this show, though.
Yeah I remember vary well that they had done this plenty of times. if they somehow focused or tryed to feel how the way the warriors moved and fight or they could access the memories of the currently scanned monster at the age and era but you could also feel how sick or insane the warriors were as well which is why they had to really go to great lengths to obtain the right scans while interacting with the world around them of chaotic.
Never will happen. The only successful shows were Bakugan, Yu-Gi-Oh, Pokemon. Digimon did make cards too and you can still buy them but not as popular. YuGiOH will always be the giant. Still waiting for someone to make a successful magic the gathering show though.
I remember loving this show as a kid and being really disappointed how season 1 ended on a massive cliffhanger and thinking that was how the show ended. It was only years later that I learned that not only did the show get a second and third season, that sinply didn't air in my country for some reason, with a significantly different animation style, but that the game had been an actual card game (albeit a short lived one)
I know _why_ they do it but it pisses me off to no end when shows end a season on a cliffhanger when they have no plans to continue the series, it's like selling a half finished product since the season isnt even really finished.
this is most annoying part about this show. they did great season 1, then aired season 2 and season 3 but these seasons were nearly impossible watch. I saw a few of the shows, maybe like 10-15 episodes of other seasons but they were all in different order without truly understanding the events in proper order. I think this is type of show that if it was turned into actual video game, it would exploded in term of popularity. Just think of world of warcraft as a card game. you go around exploring a 3D adventure game where the objective is to try scan cards and then you battle with said cards as mutiplayer duel. The duel can be real time or it could be more like Warhammer 40,000/Risk where you can auto-battle based off stats of a card. Considering 3D pokemon on your phone is something that exists, this show and game was far beyond its time. This show would be great candidate for Virtual games as well like Sword art online where popular anime character Kirito survives Aincrad. Imagine Virtual game based off survival in regards to finding monsters, equip cards and discovering new types of attacks on each monster. Its like most sophisticated version of pokemon. If Chaotic was transpose into games, I imagine it would be very popular.
The show was so well written. Not only were the cards a just a cool game the characters played but the creatures they scanned with each card had their own stories, motivations, and conflicts. The stakes always felt real and they actually had to be daring to get a lot of their scans but they weren’t just hunting for creatures for a game. They’d actually get involved and help them and in turn learn how to incorporate what they’ve learned from them in their matches. Shit imma go rewatch
This is the show I've always felt scratching at my memory but just couldn't place! Thank you Jordan, really brought back my childhood, a real massive rush of memory.
it would always bug me that i remember it and go hunting for the name, find the name, forget it later, and hunt for the name again always been a cycle with me but i remember loving this so much as a kid
SAME, I swear I felt like I was tripping at first whenever some scenes, or at least the “Chao” part of the name, would flash through my head at times. Like, “nah, this didn’t really exist right? … right?”
when i was a kid i was always so annoyed that they didn't actually go into the world of chaotic but got the memories of being there. i'd be so pissed if i was sitting around in my room waiting to find out what i did in this other world
right, but thinking about it, it's a pretty useful feature, as you can play as much as you want without it getting in the way of your real life. Completely overcomes several issues that typically arise from this type of premise, such as failing schoolwork, being unaccounted for several hours each day, or relationships falling apart due to availability.
I remember being super into the Danian tribe because, unlike the other tribes, they made it seem like NO ONE had scanned the Danian faction leader Illexia (or that it was at least extremely rare). Even the Danian-using protagonist hadn’t if I remember right, only managing to scan one of her royal guards.
Oh my gosh! So so happy you did this one. It's one of my absolute faves. I did not have cable so Saturday morning cartoons was my jam! This was one of them I never forgot about it. But tbh sometimes it almost felt like the show was from a dream I had not from memory. So curious about the background of the making of this show. So thank you! Alright enough yammering time to watch!
One aspect I really like about peyton's character is that while he is clearly based on the "michelangelo" archetype that don't just make him the stupid one, which happens a lot with that archetype, he seems to be the most experienced regarding the chaotic world and uses his personality to befriend many players and creatures in the world, it's a refreshing change of pace
And a good example of his intellect, was how he figured out a way to stop the "Allmegeddon" attack (a move that was a literal one shot against everything, and every player was trying to figure out how beat it), by using his knowledge of gear and locations to counteract it, showing that even the most powerful of attacks can still have a weakness in the game.
Though there are times where he’s clueless which can get him in trouble (such as at the end of the episode Buggin About, he goes to the Damians base to scan some armor, only to get captured).
You've covered so many shows I've loved for years now. Seeing you even bring them up makes me so happy, you have no idea. These shows have just kinda been my thing for so long, never really had anyone to share them with. Thank you for this series. It's a great service to us all sir.
In classic Jordan Fringe style, your videos ignite a flame hidden in the depths of my minds. Haven't thought about this show in years. I love it. I hope you can one day do Spliced.
Broooo I've had the slightest memory of chaotic but couldn't remember the name I tried to remember it for so long. And then this video gets recommended out of nowhere. Thanks man for bringing back all those memories
chaotic was the best ever hands down this is one of the only shows i can watch again and again and never get tired of it i believe there’s a petition to bring it back somewhere
A few months back I had this "I remember this game I liked as a kid" moment and went on a Chaotic binge. The show isn't bad and the game's super unique. It was then I found out there's a fan-made website called Chaotic Recoded where you can go and play the game against other people. I wanted to share Chaotic Recoded's existence just in case anyone else wanted to try to play the game.

I got to link this to my brother. This was his favorite show as a little kid and he still has (In a safe box in storage) a small collection of decks and cards he collected over the years. I bet this will really make him happy
I distinctively remember parts of this show, since I used to watch a ton of 4kids whenever I was over at my uncle's place. Like I can't remember anything about the plot, but seeing certain things like the map selection of all things hits me with an undescribable wave of nostalgia.
I think one of the coolest aspects of the show was going out and scanning certain weapons or monsters. It really invoked a collectionist appetite. I keep hoping to find that feeling in an MMO but it's never there.
not only that, but no two scans would be the same (unless they took it together) because the scans would reflect the character's current status/power/equipment/etc. So you could have the same card, but different stats.
I collected the cards like a mad kid back in the day. It's making a come back with the cards series with the original creator getting the rights back in the past year. Hopefully the show comes back too
I love this show so much! The cool concept of like this different world, fighting as the monsters in an arena while once while you go into those worlds where those monsters come from is just so cool!
They really need to make a video game that has the jist of the show. Open world scanning (maybe with area-level scaling) of heroes, locations, battlegear and mugics and hero shooter-like combat for the fights themselves with the straregic placement and decks from the show. Plus, the world itself and the different factions and characters are really solid so any project taking place in that world would be welcome, especially a game of this kind.
I still find Maxxor shooting literal iron balls from his eyes one of the best examples of game mechanics not being translatable to a narrative, like the dragon god Nicol Bolas from MTG not being able to trample through a 1/1 pigeon, and I absolutely love it that they committed to the ridiculousness of that element.
I’ve had very vivid memories of two specific yet unrelated scenes from this show, and for most of my life I have not been able to recall what the show was called. Thank you so much for helping me finally remember
@@michaelnelson1127 one where two of the protagonists were in a cave looking for some huge menacing dark dragon-like monster to scan it for their game, and when they found him he was all chill and was like “Ok, scan me.” And another scene where the main guy went into a very uphill duel with someone else where he played as a weak monster with very sensitive hearing while the enemy played as a stronger monster with a super loud voice, and they chose some quiet easily-echoing location for the duel, and somehow the main guy won
@@justsomefox8910 Okay, I think the first one is where they were trying to scan Aokwa so Kaz could prove to the school principal that Chaotic is real and he’s not crazy. For the second one, I was just thinking about this one the other day: that’s the final battle between Peyton as Hearring and Eddie X as Screamer in the Crypt of Eternal Echoes. Peyton barely pulls out a win, earning him respect from his favorite musician and backstage passes to his next concert.
Ive been waiting so many years for Chaotic to come back. It was my favorite card game and my name is a reference to my favorite underworlder Khybon The Renegade. Ive been filling the void with the pokemon tcg, but I would drop it in a heartbeat if Chaotic came back. Thanks for making this because I didn't know about the recent interview and was so close to giving up hope. Man I hope it really does make a revival!
I love how th 4 original clans are always fighting at first but the all team up when the Marillian show up. I remember when one of the characters was trying to train people from all of the tribes and it was hard for them to get along. Then Payton(the only person that scanned a Marillian ) and the rest of his friends used other creatures to see if the 4 tribes had a chance of beating the Marillian.
Tangath Toborn, the lion with the sword, was the one training the mixed tribe members. Such an iconic character, and he had one of the most badass moments in the show when he saved the world by putting himself and a giant tidal wave into stasis
I actually did a complete rewatch of Chaotic earlier this year! The entire thing is pretty easily available and bingeable at a mere 70ish episodes, it holds up decently well enough. Shame it'll never be properly finished
This is impossible... I was literally looking for this one and felt sad that you did not review it ... but NOW THIS! SO HAPPY and I haven't even watched it yet.
Oh my days I appreciate this video very much because I've been searching for the name of this cartoon ever since I was about 5,6.and now you've pulled up with this absolute gem
I never gotten into the card game but I really loved the cartoon, the concept of using the cards to actually turn into the monsters to fight was pretty cool and definitely separate itself from other shows like it at the time.
omg thank you for this video, I have been trying to remember the name of this show for years!!! T^T I just loved it, the idea and story were so great. And now I understand why I never saw it past season 1, I think it just never got translated in French after the first one :(
I have been waiting for this episode! Chaotic was my childhood, I collected the cards and was always playing online after I get home from school (and I mean back when the website had first launched, bugs and all lol) I am hopeful and praying the show gets its revival cause there is so much potential in this IP returning
Dude this was my favorite show on 4kids growing up. I love Choatic it was amazing, however for some reason nobody I've ever met knows what it is. Even all my friends or coworkers who grew up on 4kids
I loved Chaotic as a kid, I loved the monster world setting, I LOVED that you went out to scan monsters to get a larger arsenal of monsters, and I LLLLOOOVED that the characters turned into the monsters (whose art design is actually really cool imo) and then fought each other in matches with them! I was pretty sad when it fizzled out.
I remember being the only kid that liked this show in my classroom So many memories Also didn't knew it was an actual card game, i thought they used it as a reference to those days trend
I remember watching this show with my first tv as a kid, I was just switching through static channels then boom, the show just popped up and I fell in love with it. Couldn’t remember the name for the life of me but so glad I found it again
My only strong memory of this show is that there was 1 episode focused around the War Beast Blazvatan, and then, shortly after watching it, I pulled an Ultra Rare holographic Blazvatan card and freaked out. That lizard race very quickly became my favorite after that lol
This was the coolest idea for a card game and video game world. I loved how the characters would go to the worlds and scan the environment too for a fighting location and while you’re hunting you find out how to use the area or how that monster you just scanned uses the area so when you fight you have some advantage there. But even so someone could have scanned a new weapon that a tribe made for war and now they have the advantage. Or you could have scanned them when they were sick so it’s not really as good as they could have been so you might go back. OR YOU GO TO SCAN SOMEONE SPECIFIC AND THEYRE IN A FIGHT WITH SOMETHING YOU NEVER SAW BEFORE SO NOW YOU GOT TWO SICK SCANS. There were so many possibilities. I wanted to always have an Overworld team. I wish this was an MMO. That would be insane.
I have been looking for this show for YEARS! It always reminded me of a cross between Pokemon and Code Lyoko (Two of my favorites growing up!) And I wanted to see it again, but was having trouble finding it. Never knew about the actual cards! Thank you SO MUCH! I found some uploads here on YT so time for a trip down memory lane!! #BRINGBACKCHAOTIC
This was one of my favorite 4kids shows back in the day. It was an interesting concept for a card game show that utilizes characters turning into the monsters themselves and even inheriting their memories as well. Jason Griffin did a great job voice Tom!~ 😃
You unlocked a memory in this middle aged man he completely forgot. Thank you good sir I loved the premise of this title so much when I found it as a kid.
I miss this show. I remember owning the DS video game and playing it so much. It still doesn't hold a candle to the show with its controlled isekai factor and humans playing a not insignificant role in this world of powerful creatures. It was great and now I need to watch it again.
I was really into this show when it was broadcast, and I hope for a full reboot to give people who were never able to get into the card game a fresh start and a chance to join
i have faint memories of this show. i think about it from time to time but couldn't remember the name or the rules of the game. only thing i remember is that they could turn into the creatures and that the real creatures have their own world/area. it feels weird relearning about a show u watched years ago
My favorite episode was when they used the boys vs girls cliche and actually executed it well. The boy player using female creatures, an the girl player using male creatures. All this accomplished was creating further confusion for everyone, and I love it
For the anniversary in 2012 got me so much free stuff with the quizzes online. And man, the old forums were the shit. I spent so much time on there. Lots of fan fic stories on there.
One of the moments that was a stand out from the cartoon is how they explain the technology is amazing, at the time of entering Perim/the battledrome your consciousness is copied and then when your digital self leaves your memories merge in the real world and because this technology sounds to crazy to exist Kaz has to prove that it isn't all in his head in episode 20 of season 2 this was such an interesting take on the whole situation. As our main hero Tom also is to afraid to help his friend because he might lose his access to Perim also but comes around. The world is so rich with story that is never fleshed out and is ripe for more.
This has been one of my favorite series and I have watched it several times. I didn’t realize what was happening and the last season felt incomplete. I found out as I was trying to go online again after years of not playing to see the website being down. I would always be down for this masterpiece coming back. The cards were always beautiful in their appearance and it was a fun card game.
I remember watching this show as a kid. Literally for the past few years I have always tried to remember what it was called and try and look it up but could never remember. And now all of a sudden I find your video and I got hit with memories of watching the show. I loved it and would love to see it come back but it definitely will need to stand out in order to get more attention
I loved this show. It would be so cool to become a creature and fight! I'd especially want to become ones that can fly or breath under water, and just have fun instead of battle.
What feels magical about remembering shows that I had forgotten, is hearing the sounds or theme and feeling you brain get all excited, almost like it's saying "DUDE!! I remember this!". With this show in particular, you didn't put any of the sounds in the video, but I could hear them in my mind.
I found it! I frickin found it! This show came on once when I was like six years old and has been stuck in my mind ever since that day. Thank you kind sir, for helping me satiate this decade old thirst. Finally, I can be at peace.
i just remembered it out of the blue i wouldnt miss a episode right after i came after school, it was such a feel good show but the thing that made me like it so much was the lore behind the races how the game was played and specially the landscapes and monster designs was amazing. cant believe it wasnt a global phenomenon...
This reminds me so much of Redakai with how the characters can transform into the monsters. Will there be a video on Redakai in the near future someday? It was a part of my childhood.
Bro honestly thanks so much I’ve been trying to remember Redakai for the longest time I had some of the cards a while back and was trying to remember what they were from hadn’t had any luck finding the cards so you saying the name helped so much 😂😂😂
If the card game comes back and legacy cards are usable i have a competitively prepped deck for each of the 5 tribes. An overworlder mugician deck, an ancient underworlder deck, a mipedian war beast deck, a danian infection mandablore deck, and a marillian conquest deck

And if possible, get a phone case centered on it.
couldn’t have said it better the plot was great honestly
@@dyciefisk2535
Not sure what you're talking about, but the biggest cheating incident was in the Season 1 finale where Tom was revealed to have been cheating by rigging the locations of the match.
If the show was aired today, it would be a huge success
This show deserves a comeback
I don’t know it’s goated memory fasho! But I appreciate the ass graphics a lot

Imagine doing that 1 hundred and 1 VS 1 hundred and 1 type face off like Tom did with that “Peyton” fellow I think his name is???
yes! chaotic and huntik will always live in my heart
Marillian Invasion was easily Chaotic at it's peak. Their Lovecraftian nature really helped them stand out from the other races in the show, and aside from Von Blut, they were the first true villains the series ever had. The fact that the Code Masters had to actually shut down the gates connecting Chaotic to Perim further highlights just how dangerous they were.
storytelling yes, but animation wise I personally loved the first season, because the last 2 reminded me of totally spies to mutch
also, am I the only one who thinks the show's overarching storytelling pacing was a bit fucky???
@@wackpool1491 Though I always liked watching Chaotic, the first season always gave me some frustration back then, since there were less unique angles, and the frontal view for many characters looked odd at best. I get that the faux/French-Italian anime look isn't for everyone, but I was one of those who preferred it over the flash, especially since the quality of animation jumped with the change as well. (Also animating in flash is notoriously bad for many so I hope the production staff did not have those problems.)
@@wackpool1491
Yeah, I can definitely agree with the storytelling being a bit messy.
Yup, the memories, (relatively) good times
Von Blut and Kahor reminds me of the relationship between Starscream and Megatron
What I loved, and wish they did more often, was have the game they’re playing actually interact with the A-plot in Perim
One of my favourite episodes was when real Chaor was going to fight real Van Bloot, so Kaz went and found a high level Van Bloot player to 1v1 in Van Bloot’s castle, so he could go tell real Chaor what tricks he’d use
That’s a really cool, unique part of the show that was entirely unique to Chaotic
Also loved when Prexxor Chasm had a giant parasite killing all the creatures, so Tom would go there in games with every creature and battlegear he could think of, to try and find a way to stop it, risk-free
i like that one episode where tom used a relativly weak but smart monster and used his memoris of a certain location to find all these hidden areas and secret routes to trick and ambush another player to win a fight

So I'm not the only one.
It’s more cool when you find out Tom and Kaz were voiced by Sonic the Hedgehog and Maxmillon Pegasus. 😮😅
It aired in mine but I ditched it because it looked too different and they completely dropped the continuing the end of season 1.
If Chaotic was transpose into games, I imagine it would be very popular.
no way you did an episode on chaotic, this show was so insanely ahead of its time man I used to be SO HYPE to watch this every morning before school
I loved and still love to watch Chaotic. You can even still find most of the episodes on youtube.
This is the show I've always felt scratching at my memory but just couldn't place! Thank you Jordan, really brought back my childhood, a real massive rush of memory.
it would always bug me that i remember it and go hunting for the name, find the name, forget it later, and hunt for the name again always been a cycle with me but i remember loving this so much as a kid

when i was a kid i was always so annoyed that they didn't actually go into the world of chaotic but got the memories of being there. i'd be so pissed if i was sitting around in my room waiting to find out what i did in this other world
right, but thinking about it, it's a pretty useful feature, as you can play as much as you want without it getting in the way of your real life. Completely overcomes several issues that typically arise from this type of premise, such as failing schoolwork, being unaccounted for several hours each day, or relationships falling apart due to availability.
@@nomireelnom4265True you could essentially live two different lives without any downsides
Granted there was an episode where a guy had to send the main crew to go get himself in perim

But tbh sometimes it almost felt like the show was from a dream I had not from memory. So curious about the background of the making of this show. So thank you! Alright enough yammering time to watch!
The best part of the show was if you had a tv that could pause, you were able to use the codes on the screen for the online game.
DUDE ive been trying to remember the name of this show for months thank you!

Try Elden ring
not only that, but no two scans would be the same (unless they took it together) because the scans would reflect the character's current status/power/equipment/etc.
Bro you just unlocked a core memory from my childhood. I completely forgot about Chaotic 😭😭
Really loved Chaotic when i was a kid, truly a good concept
I’ve had very vivid memories of two specific yet unrelated scenes from this show, and for most of my life I have not been able to recall what the show was called. Thank you so much for helping me finally remember

@@michaelnelson1127 one where two of the protagonists were in a cave looking for some huge menacing dark dragon-like monster to scan it for their game, and when they found him he was all chill and was like “Ok, scan me.”
And another scene where the main guy went into a very uphill duel with someone else where he played as a weak monster with very sensitive hearing while the enemy played as a stronger monster with a super loud voice, and they chose some quiet easily-echoing location for the duel, and somehow the main guy won

Oh man, I think about this show from time to time and I'm always bummed it died. Awesome to hear there is a possibility it is coming back.
