#Jacob #Laban #BiblicalStories
I love Old Testament stories.
Jacob married two cousins who are actually sisters. Talk about keeping it in the family 😂
And don't forget Jacob's kids (well 10 of them) fooled him when they sold Joseph into slavery to the Ishmaelites... They told their Dad that Joseph was killed by a wild animal... That was a part of the deceiver being deceived again.... When one does bad things, many bad things happen to them as a result... These events were humbling catalysts for Jacob...
This guy is amazing at telling us these amazing history about the biblical time periods your a legend keep it up 👍🏾
Thank you for sharing so much detail. I didn’t realize how deep everyone in the story got into deceit. Glad to know God knows how to navigate us through our own nonsense.
Lábán was like *I'm gonna make him an offer he can't refuse*.
I truly enjoyed this teaching, because, the message is that what you don’t want no one to do to you, well don’t do it to nobody else
In those days daughters were the property of the father. Highly Patriarchal society in which women had little say on who they married and the father was King/God/Judge/Executioner, so even if Rachel knew about the plan and wanted to tell Jacob, the fear of her father would have stopped her dead in her tracks even if she would have had a rebellious thought against her father, she would not follow through with it.
Daughters were under the authority of their Fathers in those times. Also, Rachel did not want to embarrass her sister so she stayed silent.
from the final part of the narration, it seems Jacob didn't have to wait another 7yrs before getting Rachel. He was probably given Rachel just a week after marrying Leah then asked to work 7yrs post-marriage to pay for that.
So Jacob was one of the first documented simp.
Jacob was really REALLY lusting after his first cousin.
Jacob's mom and her brother were both sly. Jacob should have known better what his mother did
Jacob and his sister wives. And their attendants. Busy guy.
Well, I guess Jacob is a lot more like his father in law
See even here GOD is fair, Jacob reaped what he sowed but God still had a plan for Jacob and Jacob had to continue
I can’t wait until they cover Moses!!
I love this series. Subbed with post notifications on! Continue the amazing work!
Your videos are truly excellent. Please, keep them coming.
this breaks the heart...poor leah was never loved as she deserved.....this caused the father (jacob) to not really love his children with leah and her maids but he lov3d his children with rachel joseph (he was sold into slavery and became long of egypt)@benjamin
