Et döner, lahmacun ve kazandibi 🤤
Adana kebap is absolutely amazing! My favorite. Though I don't think I have yet tried any Turkish food that wasn't great. Everything is delicious.
durum
Inegol kofte is THE BEST!!!!
I liked one of its food it was made of beef but i don't remember its name... do you offer tourist guide service?
In Croatia we say krumpir for potato, kumpir sounds bit funny without r😀
I think that Turkey probably has the best food in the world. It is hard to choose the favorite one.
Hırvatistan'dan selamlar!😀
Ja sam Pakistanac iz Americi. Pozdrav iz Ohio.
Türkiye'den Hırvatistan'a sevgiler.
Mind please, Turkey may be having a few good dishes, e.g Kebap stc, but we in Pakistan, esp Peshawar and KPK have a score of such a unique and tasty dishes that no one dare resist to eat them in abundance and time and time again.

@@ShakeelAhmad-vh7iv Not just a few but many! Turkiye has 7 regions and each reagon's climate are different which causes them to have different kinds of vegetables and fruits in the same season. Turkish cuisine is so various and delicious so even if you try to eat as much different dishes as possible you will be still missing many of the dishes at the end because of the variety. As a born and raised Turkish myself I still haven't tried 70% of Turkish dishes or even more. They are all so delicious. 😋
Thank you for finally resolving the mystery of pirinç and pilav, though I have already embarrassed myself a million times already 😂😂😂
Merhaba Can.
Selâm from İstanbul.
Saya mengagumi usaha anda untuk bahasa Turki.
I have been to Turkey four times in the Kara Deniz region, misafir, not tourist, stayed with Turkish friends in their homes, my favorite food is mantı, kunefe, and yayla çorbası
I'm indian and i love to watch your videos.I really want to come turkey, thats why i am learning a Turkish language. Thankyou
my favourite Turkish specialties are ayran, dolma, chich taouk, baklava, kunafe, the egg and yoghourt that you eat in the morning, and of course the Turkish breakfast with amazing soudjouk, cheese etc. 🥰
It's amazing how we in algeria have many of the same dishes and... with the same name.
çorba = شُربة
börek = بوراك
Baklava = بقلاوة
Dolma = دولمة
kefta = كفتة
Künefe = كُنافة
and many others. Man! turkey and arabs of north africa have a very deep history.
Greetings to my turkish brothers and sister.
Aleyküm selam
In turkey we say köfte not kefta
We in Croatia , SE Europe, , also have these dishes , and names 🍻
Shawarma: Döner actually shawarma also comes from Turkish language çevirme word spinning 😅😅😅
Actually the picture of the food you referred to as kebap, is Adana or Urfa Kebap. Kebap is the general name of the cooking style of all kinds of meats grilled on wood ember, or charcoal or even may be roasted in owen, which don't have to be minced; and yes, döner is a kind of kebap too. For example, şiş kebap (shish kebap) - as you may know - is made of lamb's meat pieces, and I can name you many other kebap dishes like küşneme kebabı, cartlak kebabı, ciğer kebabı, testi kebabı, kaburga kebabı, tandır kebabı, orman kebabı, etc. etc. :)
Thanks for informing! I didn't know the details...
Absolutely. You are spot on. There hundreds of kebaps. Patlıcan kebap, tandır kebap, çömlek kebabı,. Tas kebap is the only few.
@@Turkishle You're doing a great job. Keep it up
Yes you are very right, for what he has shown as Kebap is called as "Shami Kabab" in Pakistan. Besides, we have "Chappal Kabab" in Peshawar and KPK, which is minced mutton with a lot of spices and tommato etc cooked in ghee in a large pan. That is a kind of Kabab (Kebap) which I see no equal in the world in taste, for sure.

I am from South Africa, Cape Winelands. Thank you, I loved your video, interesting foods you make me want to visit Turkey. Thank you for your lovely video I had a great time watching what you had to offer.
My Turkish ex-boyfriend introduced me the dish menemen and he even taught me how to cook it but sadly it was an epic fail. I wanna try Turkish cuisine. I hope I can visit your wonderful country soon.
I would be here forever naming all my favourite Turkish dishes , when I got off the plane coming back to Australia I went and got a hamburger in Sydney for dinner because it was late my first bite of it ewwwww tasteless, I wanted to return to Turkey immediately your food is absolutely amazing 🥰🥰🥰
I can't stop watching you teacher. Thank you.
Thank you for briefing a variety of Turkish food. After watching Turkish dramas, I enjoy listening to the language and their respect for mother's are well portrayed too. Some day, I wish to visit your country and try lots of food.
If you are fond of foods, go to Peshawar, Pakistan and there eat their special dishes, esp "Kabli Pilave", "Chappal Kabab" and "Tikka karaie" etc and know as to what a tasty dish really is.
(SHAKEEL AHMAD)
Can, gerçekten çok iyi bir öğretmensin! Her videodan sonra daha fazla Türkçe öğrenmek istiyorum.

Very useful! I've lived in Lausanne (Switzerland) for 5 years and I've always ordered a Doner Kebab! Next month I'm gonna visit Istambul and I promise I won't do that error! Cheers!
Mind Please, Doner is Doner and kebap is another dish. Be careful in future.
❤Thankyou this was very helpful.... Great Job... Australia 🎉
I love yaprak sarma and bamya. I really dont know why I watch your videos, because I am turkish 😂 but the islak hamburger is a new dish I think, nowaday I hear it often
MINE TOOOOO
A few foreign friends of mine, when they came to Turkey, said "I want to try koko thing" because they could not pronounce the name kokoreç. At first I didn't understand, but later when they described what they wanted, I got the point and I warned them. Koko means cocaine in Turkish slang. If you don't want to cause confusion, please try to pronounce the full name kokoreç. Thank you...
Good point. Thanks for sharing.
As a Turk, I didn't know that coco means cocoine
Informtive video about Turkish foods . The performer of video is decribing about food stuff in a v. good manners . He is beautiful & have innocent looks . All the Turkish foods are finger licking . 😋😋👍 from 🇺🇸
Pilav is a complicated thing. Showing only rice picture is actually does not reflect it. Because pilav is not only prepared with rice but also with other ingredients. So we have different kind of pilavs in turkish cuisine like pirinç pilavı, bulgur pilavı, şehriye pilavı etc.
The turks dont know how to make proper palaw.. You put pasta with boilet Rice... Real palaw i boiled in broth made by lamb Meat
@@AhmedThaking I don't discuss personal tastes. What you define the pilav / palaw is only a meal prepared with "rice". What I try to say is that in Turkish cuisine pilav is a general name for some kind of different dishes because we have so many different pilavs that some of them doesn't even have any "rice" as ingredient. Just copy and google these 3 pilavs (pilavs with 3 different ingredient) as an example and look at the pictures, you will understand what I mean better: 1) Meyhane Pilavı 2) Düğün Pilavı 3) Ankara Tava
@@osmanakbulut8850 very well said...
Yes you are very right, for just rice we call Cjawal in Pakistan and that is no dish worth mention. While we have Palave as a tasty dish for guests in marriages, while there are "Kabli Palave" and "Bannosi Palave" which are made for special guests, and they are extremely Tasty and savoury, indeed...hum!

Are you a acteress??
I would love to try all Turkish foods it looks amazing 👏 I would even try your dry fish sandwich as I love bread love your videos thank you 🇹🇷🇹🇷
Don't be put off. Balik ekmek is delicious. I suppose it depends on the quality of the fish.
Hope you can but impossible 😂
There are many Turkish dishes. We have 81 cities and I'm sure every city has some special foods. Turkish kitchen is just too rich that Turks can't even taste every food in Turkey.
In English we “eat” soup. In Turkish they “drink” soup. :-)
I remember when the balık ekmek in Eminönü was made from fish caught in nearby waters, and cooked in oil on small boats there, and was really good. Cause I’m old. 😅
Favorite Turkish foods - I HAVE to eat kokoreç when I go, preferably at Çengelköy Kokoreççisi. Bol acılı. And I love Analı Kızlı, and Şiveydiz... so many wonderful dishes from that eastern Mediterranean area. Many are similar to Syrian and Lebanese food but they have their special Turkish interpretation. Mardin style dolma are also amazing.
We also drink cigarette and oath :))
using the word "eat" for a liquid (soup) is nothing but absolute nonsense
@@Rabia_Burak Unless it’s a very hearty soup with lots of chunks. Then again, who “drinks” with a spoon in English?
My favorite is pide, ayran and künefe 😍 and yes mercimek çörbasi is the best soup ever!
In fact, "köfte" is a method of preparing food with crushing and kneading something and make it round in Turkish, it does not matter whether there is meat in it or not. But when translated into English, it is translated as meatballs. There are actually lots of vegetarian versions, too. Like çiğköfte, mercimek köftesi, fellah köftesi etc. They're all vegeterian but if you want to translate for instance mercimek köftesi, the translation is usually lentil meatballs even though there's no meat in it.
Thank you Jon for letting us know about the food and how to pronounce them correctly.
I am following your channel to learn things about Turkey.
Hope i can visit your beautiful country soon.
I dont eat meat so I think i have limited food options there. But i would love to try food with eggs and fishes. And also few deserts. Can you suggest me few more of them.
Are you still doing food tour Can? We are planning to visit Istanbul this coming October. 🥰

@@sdias5063 Haklısınız👏✊👍!!!
When one time a group of us ate kokorech (I dont have the right letter) at one old Lady's house and one girl asked what it is made of
that lady's son Omer said:"it is made of...... what do you care what it's made of? Just eat it! 😅😅😅
I was at a big Cambodian celebration with a friend whose GF was one of those “have to inform everyone every 10 seconds that she’s vegetarian” vegetarians. She found one “noodle” dish that she really loved. I looked at the “noodles” and noticed that one side was a bit…ribbed, and said “I really don’t think those are noodles.” She insisted that they were. “I’m gonna ask,” I said.
So I went to the hostess and asked. The conversation went something like this:
Me: So, What is this dish, it’s really good!
Ros (with worried look): Oh…you like that one?”
Me: Yeah it’s really nice! What is it?
Ros: “Oooh…so you like to eat that one?”
Me: Yes Ros, I like it a lot. What is it?
Ros: Ah…so you like that one?
Me: Yes I like it tell me what’s in it already!
Ros: Oooh, that one make from pig skin!
Me: Thank you, Ros! 😀
The friend was thrilled of course. ;-)

I haven't tasted most of these foods. I have to go back again soon inşallah. My favorite so far are baklava and lokum. I didn't like the döner cuz the place we got it from made it very dry. I'm looking forward to trying the kumpir, gözleme, and börek 😀
Why not Kebap and Pilave too.
thank you for sharing such a useful content in details. How about vegetarian dishes? could you please share some?
In Serbia we also have this turkish food
9:36 "...you'll sound like a Turkish ordering food."
My friend is Turkish, and his reaction to me singing a Turkish song (Sigara- Şebnem Ferah) was, "what the heck, she's a Turkish!" (edit: because I'm learning Turkish, and he thought I sounded native) So when you said this, it made me smile 😃
I am so excited to get to eat all the yummy Turkish food next month. How do you say pide, gozleme ? How do I ask if I want to drink tea?
I like simit and cheese inside and take with cay..i got it at simit saray..lovely
I have been saying it all wrong!! The waiters must think I am crazy! :-)
I love your videos!! Been learning so much. Thank you 🙏

Merhaba! Ben Brezilyalıyım ve Türkçe öğreniyorum. In Brazilian Portuguese, Döner is called "Churrasco grego". It means "Greek barbecue". I don't know why, but it also happens with the Turkish eye, which is called "olho grego" (Greek eye) here, in Brazil.
And the yogurt 😅
Yunanlar çalıyor zaten her şeyi
Its because greeks copying turkish foods and spread it around the world like it is greek 😀
Merhabalar döner Türkiye'ye ait bir yiyecektir.
wtffff!!!! i couldnt findsomethin to say.... even the first photons and the first masses notrons were greek..is next epopisodeee
Hiii😍😍😍 thanks alot.. i always wondered why Doner is called Shawerma.. im pretty sure it came from the Turkish word (Çever, çevresinde dönmek) but you dont call it Çeverma so from where the heck Arabs got this word? Would you please share your thoughts?
Merhaba Can. En sevdiğim Türk yemeği:
Kahvaltı: sucuk ve menemen.
Öğle yemeği/Akşam yemeği: Tavuk pilav, İskender, Doner.

Adana kebaba bayılıyorum 😋
Back in india Baklava is getting very popular..it's a lot sweeter than our sweets..liked it... Inshallah..hoping to visit your beautiful country pretty soon..by the way Ayran is called lassi (sweet) and buttermilk (salty)..back here..thank you very much for giving us short and sweet and easy Turkish lessons.. 👍🙏
Thank you, brother, excellent from Turkish Cypriot family, in London. Mum used to make most of these dishes fresh. One Borek with like a white, fetter-like soft cheese, Mum used to call it 'Noor' , can you confirm the name of this Borek is it 'Noor Borek'. Other Turks appear not to understand this term ,I'm thinking maybe it's a native Turkish Cypriot name for the food. Like (Bastirma / Pastirma) many Turks in the local Turkish shop found it a local Cypriot food, really. Also my favorite food is Etli Yaprak sarma, the one with fine mince lamb mixed with the rice inside, the best.
Brilliant video....thanks so much for posting. I have an English friend who insists on saying bak- LA -va
Excellent information ✅👏👏👏
I am interesting all of that❤❤❤❤
Another very! useful lesson to get the pronunciation right. I am so with you regarding Balik ekmek. Never tried it - too much bread so it must be dry and the fish (mackerel) just does not go with it. But I love Balik dürüm - it is my favourite street food in Istanbul - so tasty and healthy. I request it with "az tuz". I also love Su Böregi but did not know the correct name I thought is was just börek. Now I know how to ask for it. Also like pilav very much with tavuk sometimes with "sos" It saved me when I travelled in the "wild East" of TR / Iran border with an upset stomach. Next time I am in Turkey I must try Kokoreç and Beyran.
brillant thanks
In Greece we put walnuts in baklava. I think you put peanuts. We also have a lot of the same food.
We put pistachio not peanuts but we also have baklava with walnuts, too.
