Beautiful notch back! Never had one but maybe someday. I found a 69 Ghia that was heading to the scrap yard to be crushed. My son and I are working on it together 👍✌️ We have a couple of videos up and will be putting up more as we progress.👍✌️
I DO like chromed wheels! And I love the extra chrome strip just above the front bumper, which goes with the chromed strip at the top of the bonnet! Nice front end. Would look great on the FASTBACK, too!
Door seals are from ISP West and steering wheels is a Nardi. You'll have to hunt down a Wolfsburg horn button for the Nardi, but they're out there. Good luck my friend and thanks for the compliments.
VW Type 3 from 1961 to 1965 isn't quite as popular yet as in 1966 to 1969 models. It comes in two models, the Fastback and the Squareback (station wagon). The Fastback replaced the Notchback in 1966, and there are a few changes for 1966 VW Type 3, including the engine increased from 1200cc to 1300cc, bigger taillights by looking from the side view, but the same housing, and ventilating slots (flattened hub caps) was introduced. I remember VW Type 3 models back in the early 1960s when I was a kid as well as the baby boomer back in the 1950s. VW Type 3 models is fairly to be popular in 1966 as well as the next several years an up to 1973. The two models are: 2 door Fastback and a 2 door Squareback station wagon, they made these models for only 8 years.
Wow pure shine! Love the extra Crome moldings and the wheels! What a blast 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼😍
You know the car don’t get out in rainy days when the wipers is removed 👌🏻

Why is the engine running so fast. Can someone explain.
Anyone know if this is a VW red or a custom color?
Custom color, it was the previous owner's version of Ruby Red. I told everyone the color was called " BBQ Sauce".

Die Mucke ist allerdings ein übler Stilbruch
Der Motor klingt wie ein Tecker mit Getriebeschaden.
