Offered for sale is this gorgeous Volkswagen Type III Fastback, a 1971 model in attractive Clementine over Black. This car is an absolute time capsule and had been in air-conditioned storage before being found and refreshed. In terms of appearance and driving, I would strongly argue that this is one of the best Type III's in the country today and going down the road in it will make you feel like you went back in time. The strength and sound of the engine, the smoothness of the shifting, and the tight and responsive steering seem almost impossible in a 50-year-old car - it drives like new. The paint is almost entirely original, as are the trim, wheels, and interior. I can say with no risk at all that whoever buys this car will be pleasantly amazed by it. Do not miss this one!

@ 14:50,...and what a groovy '71 VW Type III it is, Haley! You even dressed the part for the many times excellent presentation, very retro! Love it!!!
Wow, what a gem! And the car's nice too! =)
It was only later that I realized your b&w skit was a take off on Dustin Hoffman's ad. Pretty good!
Good presentation, Haley. Well done...!
My neighbor have an old baby blue one of these and I’ve wanted to buy it off them for the longest, the more I see it the more I want to buy it and restore it
Thank you for the spirit of the 70's...
Groovy Baby! Haley !
Okay that was pretty awesome Hallie. 😊😊
It's been a while since I've seen you present anything on UA-cam and I am looking forward to your return. Merry Christmas, Haley!
Happy New Year, Haley!
Will you be presenting anything new? It's been a while.
We have not seen Haley in a month. Please may we have a new video with Haley? Please.
@@dpmcginntrains ...she'll be back. I believe that it's only a matter of time.
Awesome intro. Best ever. She is getting great at this. She is probably trying to get on at Curious Cars. Lol Bill is teaching you well.
You're sweet. So is this fastback. Keep it up :)
J' aime ta fraîcheur et ta féminité dans ce monde de boy
1971...
Direction San Francisco avec toi dans cette VW
GO!!!
Great video!!! I love the retro intro & the groovy seventies vibe!!! Thanks Hailey for sharing this fun video!!! What happened to your cameraman during the downpour??? Did he get soaked??? 👍👍🙄
The VW Type 3 was never manufactured in the US, but Volkswagen did import and sell them here. The plate you noted on the right front fender is from VW Smoliner, a service shop in Vienna, Austria, so this vehicle was almost certainly made in Germany and privately imported to the US rather than coming in through official channels.
Haley is the best ;-)
She’s dreamy:)
Looking absolutely stunning and the car ain't bad either
@Ian windley .. +1 .. Drummer, can I get a rim shot!
Awsome walk around on the fastback. That car is beautiful. I have a Kansas beige one just like that. Fun and easy to drive. 👍😊👍
That was your best video ever ,now let's lower the price by $ 2000 and it will sell
Hello incroyable cette belle vw ... bonjour de france cordialement Erick
51% for Hailey and 49% for the car!😎👍
Ouch!! (11:09) Fortunately she must have remembered to stop and close the hood properly before driving down the road. It could have been a disaster if she'd really planted that cute foot on the gas pedal.🙄
I Lived with aircooled VWs as a child in the 1970s. My father & his extended European family had many models Type 1,2 & 3. Some relatives were VW mechanics & did home work, where I saw Karman Ghia's & Type 4s (which were never sold in Australia) getting serviced.
As these were manual, (like nearly all air cooled VWs) hearing an auto drive away sounds strange. It probably adds to the comfort these 3s had over even the Super Beetle.
You went way back in time with this video. I loved Haley’s outfit, it showed off her great legs.
For the 1971 model year the Type 3 was given new taillights which it shared with the Karman Ghia. It was also the year in which the 411 was introduced, first 4 door Volkswagen
Tan leather interior, a matching webasto sunroof, the older style bumpers/overriders, wider period wheels and some sort of A/c system. And this car would stay in my hands forever. And tone down the paint too, the mood in partition era Germany was not red.
nice
You didn’t close the hood all the way when you drove off. Glad everything was ok!!
Oh Wow! Haley You Look So Gorgeous!
Nice video, lucky is the person who got this car. I always liked the Type 3.
The condition of this car is incredible! it looks brand new! Sorry Germans but using the spare tire to pressurize the windshield washer system is completely ridiculous.
Beautiful cars I had a white one same year
The 70's really sucked. How great it would've been to go into a time machine to 2022 and bring Haley back!
What is the price for Germany ???
The shift pattern is printed on the dash because it’s a little unusual for an auto - you need to lift straight up on the knob to get out of P, and also to move back from N to R and P. (I rode in our Squareback from ages 0-14.)
Dustin Hoffman VW ad.
BTW, I remember the '70s and you rock the outfit! You would have been the "it girl" back then.
My sister drove a '66 fastback in high school (1971). The car's only fault was the heat exchangers were rotted (Ohio winters!) and it was tail happy in the snow.
You made Dustin Hoffman proud.
Looking cute, nice review
Hailey should have kicked off her heels before driving
❤️😘
Omg that intro is perfectionnn 😭😭😭
Капот не закрыла до конца
Did Maryann quit?
nice german car......and nice girl !!!
Uffda!
Man that cars ugly
Hailey, I'm disappointed in you a little bit.... You went out of the house with nails like that? Wow. This can not continue. I would've had you go home on the SPOT, with pay for the rest of the week while you thought about, and corrected that issue.. You're so much better than that, and like me, everyone else that watched this video, and saw those nails, also think that as well..... Bad girl!
Godmouni ame khalid welcame bakc thanks for shanaou car fantasstic 🚘🚘🚘🚥🅿⛽⛽⛽🚧🚦
Beautiful…!!!
The Car is pretty cool as well…!!!🥴
Hailey, that intro in black and white was wonderful and the outfit too. You are one of a kind for sure.
I couldn't have said it better myself!
Was that Dustin Hoffman’s script for,this commercial? I had a 1970 that I owned from 78-81
Anothrr great video, er great video, loved the first pre-presentation show. Bill’s to nice to be mean to you. This car will sell fast to a VW collector.
VW type 3s don't get enough respect
Love this video!!!! Incredibly well done in all regards. LOVE THIS!!!
Hey wait what happened to the other chick that used to be in the videos? I totally forgot about her, I'm not talking about the previous owner ...
Yeah thats Leyton & pretty sure she prefers to be behind the camera for now......
@@lancecooper4646 Except it's been a man behind the camera for the last couple of videos. Leyton is no longer doing the videos it seems, unfortunately
Yeah where is Leyton?
10:08 see the reflection in the LHR 1/4 window glass............
@@lancecooper4646 good eye. But I don't think thats Leyton
a three speed automatic transition 8:33 lol, gotta love our Hailey for life. Or maybe I love Lucy 11:05, oh my goodness.
Love the funky outfit! and the car.. I want one!
Hi Haley, I love the video you're cute wearing the 70's outfit, I gave thumbs up and as for myself I give you 2 thumbs up❤👍👍❤
Haley is back! :D
For a moment I felt like I am watching James Bond movie especially when she started driving
That's a 1983 vehicle inspection document. Finally albeit a minor one and improved test drive.
Glad to see you all made it through the hurricane. I’ve missed seeing new videos even though I’ll never be able to drive my dream
Have a nice Thanksgiving weekend, Haley!
What happened ?? No videos
Has this vw sold already
What size Stainless Side
Legs at 12:55. Nice.
Cute car cute girl
I love you Haley
ᵖʳᵒᵐᵒˢᵐ 😘
The black and white intro does a better job than the commercials of the times
A fitting homage to Dustin Hoffman!
cRiNgę
Lovely old VW and you and the period outfit make it shine
Loads of fun and good presentation 😘
😍
Hayley, nicer❤
Very interesting video 👍 Congratulations and greetings from Belgium Europe 😉🇧🇪🖐️
Hey, you guys aren't posting anymore!
There looking for someone to do videos for them
Haley you look amazing in any decade. Loved you in the 80's clothes for the Celica.
I love you when you said faster.
With you, every car is an occasion and you are well dressed! Nice touch with the black and white intro…and the rain 😏☝🏾📷👈🏾📸🏆
Lol i use to smoke more cigrates it comes in red box too in the early 80s
Break out the Bob Dylan albums!
Lovely lady and lovely car👏👏👏
I had a 67 typ 3 wagon.
There’s a cool book out on the development of the Type III
It shares engines with the Porsche of the same era!
Look at the steering wheel logo.
I had a 412
The spare will never be flat, because the German’s made a cut off point at which it stops working.
The plate on the dash fills in where the radio would be if you ordered one.
The Dustin Hoffman commercial, but you did it so much better!
Yes Dustin has met his rival in you. Great faithful recreation of a marketing masterpiece.
Viele dank!
I know that I saw before, but I just wanted to see it again! This is too good. Have a nice weekend, Haley!
I remember the original Dustin Hoffman commercial!
St Christopher The Patron Saint of Travelers
This is so charming! Website is unavailable, why?
FreemelonsforVWlovers e buon giorno !
Long ago I knew a joke , what I forgot : how is it , does anybody know it ? : The traffic warden stops the owner of a VW 1600 TL , and forces him to open up the cover of the Boot ( he is looking for something ) , but it turns out him , that the car doesn't have an engine , because he finds boots in te front and back...
How was the joke ? i'm a joke collector di Ungheria . Thank you... 🙂Ich spreche , übrigens Deutsch , aber nicht alle . Wie andere Leute von der ganzen Welt...
Rims, brakes, front lamps, steering wheel, mirrors, front seats, dooor handels, switches,...etc. came from Beetle 1302.
I'm German and I still wonder why we had to wait until the rabbit (Golf1) for a proper tailgate coupe. The brazilian SP2 + Karmann TC were never offered here.
Dustin Hoffman was cast specifically because he was so short, so making the fastback look bigger.
We have a Brazilian version of it called VW Variant
Thinks she's Dustin Hoffman 😎
I wonder what happened to this baby the girl
Where can u get one
Cute car, love the cute outfit.❤
She does not look at all like Dustin Hoffman
