- Hello all, today we will be flying the Hawker Hurricane fighter as we cover the evacuation of the British Expeditionary forces from Dunkirk at the end of the battle for France. We will fly a modded Hurricane with 12 X 303 browning guns which would not be a common modification until later in 1941, our goal is to protect the shipping and recover the troops from France.

Unique and detailed damage model lets you use the pros and cons of various aircraft and tanks to your advantage.
Adjust the tank aiming sights for distance and view the tank interior just as a plane cockpit!
LEARN:
Action takes place on a 358 х 230 km map - The largest and most detailed recreation of the Battle of Stalingrad theatre ever modeled in a flight simulation with unique structures, buildings and landscapes.
Single-Player Campaign scenario follows the real chronology of the battle starting with Operation Uranus on November 19th, 1942 and continues to the complete liberation of the city on February 2nd, 1943.
Ten Legendary aircraft of the era have been thoroughly re-created using original drawings and blueprints from the Central archive of the Russian Ministry of Defence.
Precise simulation of the flight model allows everyone to learn the special character and limits of each and every plane in the game. Use each of their special abilities and performance characteristics to complete your mission and survive the brutal fight. - Ігри

Actually, the "shotgun" (version with the 12 .303s) was delivered starting in early 1941, with the first ones produced in February of that year.
Unfortunately none of the correct 1940 versions of any of the aircraft are available in the game. What he has is as close as it gets without going to Cliffs
Awesome episode taff, welcome back to IL-2.. still have immensely excellent skills even after a good rest from the IL-2 content, your one legend with this mate. Great performance over Dunkirk, just great.. hopefully friendly ground forces being evacuated managed to catch sight of all that, and not missed you and your wingmates, make them feel that the RAF is doing their part and not being absent.. as it was felt in real life. That was some SWEET air combat and damage done on the Luftwaffe.. those enemy planes downed won't be causing any damage in the upcoming battle of britain, that's for certain. Terribly misunderstood is Dunkirk for the RAF, this did them a good amount of justice.. Well done mate, really.. Well done.. loved this, really did. Your IL-2 content is epic, keep it up and well done again mate 👍

Yeah I know I'm in the minority because the Spits are also gorgeous and more recognised, but the Hurricane is my fave!

oh my, a super rare occurance.. I think the number of times you ran out of fuel could probably be counted on one hand. Thank you Taff, that was a nice sortie
The Hurricane. Without it, the Brits lose the Battle of Britain. Stable platform. Maneuverable. Dependable and tough. Quicker to land, replenish oxygen, refuel, rearm and return to combat than the Spit. Easier and faster to repair than a Spit. Easier to train on than a Spit. Available in good numbers. Sir Sydney Camm: Hurricane, Typhoon, Tempest. What a legend. The free world is forever in his debt.
Also unfortunately a literal blast furnace with the pilot inside once the wing fuel tanks ignited...
@@Lyssor a trait not uncommonly shared with other nation's aircraft, and not nearly as susceptible as some however.
The hurricane is undoubtedly a beast but you can't really compare it to the spit. They are both incredible and we're vital to the battle of Britain in their own ways. The spit would put perform the hurricane in almost every aspect. Speed, climb rate, high altitude performance etc. I think saying without it, the Brits lose the battle of Britain is a stretch, when every single aircraft, pilot and ground crew are accountable for what was achieved in the Battle of Britain
@@gibbo61880 If the RAF had nothing but Spitfires they would have lost the battle of Britain. The Hurricane won the BoB. That's *not my opinion* of events. The shelves of libraries and bookstores groan under the weight of experts' analysis of the Battle of Britain from the tactical, strategic, technological, political/morale and and logistical standpoints. I urge you to read some. I particularly recommend Terraine's _The Right of the line_ as well as overall analysis by Walter Boyne and others.
@@bbb462cid I'm completely aware of the impact of the hurricane. The point I'm making is if the RAF only had hurricanes, they too would have lost the Battle of Britain. The Spitfire provided air dominance in areas the hurricane couldn't and vice versa

I love the Hurricane, such a cool plane, truly a pleasure to fly. That having said, I'm not a fan at all of the .303's as they are horribly underpowererd compared to the 20 mm's. You however seem to be able to make them work quite well for you, well done!

Very hard with only rifle calibre weapons but 4 is outstanding.
He did have 12 of them, rather than the standard eight 0.303! Not sure how he managed to get his hands on a Mk-II Hurri in May 1940 though!

I like the Hurricane, even if its slow.
There is a reserve fuel tank in front of the pilot's cabin in Hurricane. It would be ridiculous if you didn't check that tank and jumped out of a perfectly good plane.

is it me or are the ships invulnerable in this mission. multiple seem to take direct bombs with no damage

It's kind of cheating to fly a Hurricane IIB in May 1940... this version of the Hurricane didn't arrive at the front until a year later. The IIB had a top speed of 342 mph at 22,000 feet - just as fast as the Messerschmitt Bf 109E-3 at that altitude. (Although the Hurricane was much slower at low altitude.)
