@@GammaFn. i love hearing about people entering their first ras and their round 1 is someone in masters with 700 hours into the game and its like "oh theyre like 5th seed and didnt make top 8 this week" and the first timer just makes it EVERYONES problem lmfao
@@okusuii im gonna be REAL with ya chief... ras is hell, you either win in your first 3 months, or youre stuck there for 4 years, i know people better than me still stuck in that hell hole because theyre too proud to take the buyout i believe in you tho, make sure to grind with coaches and graduates and to ask LOTS of questions!!!
shoutouts to you yelling out "let's go poopy taint!!!" (my nickname for some reason) at me from across the venue, throwing me for a loop so bad that i lost the set ;^( stay winning champ
that RAS experience is so real. When I entered for the first time I felt like I was hot shit, only to be immediately be brought down to reality after getting dumpstered round 1. It was definitely humbling, lol
RAS is really awesome since a good portion of the players in it are active players in the community and will run friendlies or give advice if you ask. Love this community.
i'm distant as hell from the game and community these days but man, good times back in the 2016-2020 era haha. it's kinda crazy looking back how i had a spot in so many different crews over the years, from atlas to pink, before ultimately quitting the game. still, i look back on it fondly (even though i never graduated ras. maybe i'll go for it once rivals 2 releases, if ras is still around). i don't think we've ever really interacted much directly, but it's nice to be reminded about how things used to be back then, it's quite nostalgic :D thanks for the little nostalgia journey :)
honestly man this sense of community is like the exact thing i’m hoping i can find someday, whether it be through Strive, Ultimate, or Rivals 2 eventually :)
being reminded of the crew period of rivals gave me whiplash LOL, it's feels like its been forever since i was (sorta) part of it :P pretty sure i was like 12-13 which is crazy to me
I’ve wanted to get more into rivals as a community for a while but I always put it off cause I didn’t know how. I feel like now I’m too old, but I still enjoy playing the game
Honestly I doubt many of us started playing Rivals because of its merits as a platform fighter, we just played because it got Workshop support and then we discovered it still had some meat and bones even without it.
big fan of this community one time some guy I had never seen before picked me up to go to an out-of-town event for the game and I didn't go 0-2, 11/10 would do it again
I was expecting some horible drama to have happened because of the thumbnail and title, but this is really sweet actually
elpe accurately describing what entering RAS is like
Entered into two of them so far, have yet to win a game. Accurate af.
I did go 2-2 in Varsity Tryouts (Rivals 2) though

entered my first RAS last week and went 2-2, hoping I can win one before Rivals 2 drops.

LOL seeing myself screencapped "Banned" brings me back. Crew days were pretty fun, it drove a lot of practice and improvement.
That description of RAS really hit home for me. It took me over a year to finally graduate from it, and even now I still feel like a shit player lol.
U THE GOAT THO

I watched this video during jury duty. Really helped me pass the time! Thanks elpe!

I have had success with rivals and strive personally, little too awkward to make long time friends tho
Really happy to have met you through this community. Always a highlight just to get to check up on you when I go to events.

I'm an old man and I'm back in the community. It's pretty neato.
Blessed to have you in Tampa
I had very similar situation with super animal royale, enjoy your game not being dead!
