These 2 are truly magic ...Bless them ... Martin is such an amazing player , this album of theirs is truly a amazing collection of jazz songs , done in such a great collaboration of 2 players ...Its will be a classic for many years to come.
Martin has always been one of my favorite players, and does anyone look like they're having more fun than Tom? I would love to hear Tom and Julian Lage play. Julian toured Europe when he was like 12 with Martin Taylor. So Tommy and Julian would be fun.
they play together as if they've practiced for years.... but we know that isn't so.... really amazing talent on display. (they probably shook hands backstage and agreed on a set list)

It was released in 2013 and this CCAS was 2012 so it probably was during the time they were working on it. Very cool. I'll have to order it. Martin's great. Shame about the mix too much echo in the building not taken into consideration and bum notes from such great guitarists who's guitars never really worked together, maybe Tommy should try using his other guitar with the lighter strings and not the Maton that is too screechy and too brash to play along with Martins jazz guitar sound

What drugs have been pumped into T.E? Is he suffering from St.Vitus Dance ? Perhaps he should have gone for a ten mile sprint before the concert in order to get some muscle coordination, he is like a marionette on strings being pulled by a manic puppeteer , his solo work and comping are suffering in consequence of his apparent ADHD. In contrast, M.T. is dignified, composed , eloquent , and not suffering from narcissism.

Tommy has an amazing sense of rhythm, but to untrained ears he can sound like he's off beat.
Totally, he is always in time with his internal metronome.
More than any guitar player, Tommy ALWAYS swings! It's a syncopation that always makes you want to jump. Martin is also great. Tommy's best match-up.

I don't think MT would agree with that mate. 🤔 Tommy's excitement is part of why he is such an engaging performer. It's self-belief, not narcissism.
