I personally think the minifigures are fine the way they are, but the only underwhelming one to me was Green Goblin, due to how… Naked it looked? Fortunately, I managed to customize it and it looks so much better. Now the NWH final battle, plus the Sandman expansion, is my favorite Lego set I own.
While I do agree that the original NWH final battle set by itself is, in hindsight, a bit lackluster, (the lack of Lizard and minimal Sandman presence really hinder the overall presentation IMO) the Sandman expansion really does elevate the set for me personally. I stripped the entire sandman base and added it to the original and it really does make the set absolutely come alive. It's busy, but in a way that really emphasize the chaos of that scene.
The Sandman set is definitely my next set to get for this reason. I do think it completes a scene but it’s also another like $60-$80nzd for me so having a hard time convincing myself to get it at this stage, but from what I’ve seen it definitely makes the overall display a better design.
Ngl I disagree with the no way home set I think you were a bit harsh on it personally I think I would replace the civil war set with the no way home final battle
Yeah I was really excited for that No Way Home set so I had these super high expectations that weren’t quite fully met. Most people seem to really love it so looks like it was a successful set.
lol nice, so he's always been flip flopping between comics and movies. I guess the Nick Fury figure works well enough but I would love to see separate dedicated versions of every figure personally.
ok but you do realize that the comics nick fury was actually based off of samuel l jackson because the artist had a fitting fancast, so I'd say it's fine for them to reuse the comics nick fury 6:18
Fully aware and neat factoid, but I’d still think it would be cooler if comics Fury and Movie Fury had distinguishing face prints and details. I like using my parts for customs and unique faceprints is my favourite part of minifigures.
Fair enough. I think it’s one of the weakest actor likeness translations I’ve ever seen personally. Her upcoming Dune minifigure looks great besides the hair.
It’s a shame we STILL never got Amazing Spider-Man sets. I actually did think LEGO would retroactively make sets for the original movies and Amazing series after the success of No Way Home. I have to assume there is a proper reason behind not wanting to chase that kind of money but I would have loved to have seen these movies get some love.
We got that fairly neat TASM 2 poly bag but that was it unless you count in that ridiculously priced comic con fig. But yeah, it would be cool if we had a set of the TASM 1 fight between Spider-Man and lizard.
I hope they do a set with a black version of the new tobey maquire spider man and do a version of it with venom i think it could work but lego wont do it
Good question. On the one hand we finally have a Lizard minifigure and a brickbuilt Sandman looks great. On the other hand, it’s surprisingly expensive for what it is at just barely half the price of the Statue of Liberty head and I was shocked to see it priced that high. Somewhere in the middle range I suppose? Because I haven’t rushed out to grab it myself.
Ultimate Spider-Man game, released in 2005 for the PS2, GameCube, X-Box, Windows, DS and Game Boy Advance. Really fun game with a specific art style that makes it stand out from other Spider-Man games.
I like banks builds of all sizes more than vehicles I guess. There’s loads of people who love the No Way Home more than I do so definitely the majority opinion on that. That set really just sours with me overtime.
Man I know, I go back and forth on these all the time on deciding if I want to have the actual affordable playset in the top spot or the objectively superior because of price and piece count massive set. You’re right though, lists aren’t interesting if the top spot is always the biggest set so maybe something for me to consider for the future.
I think Wong just really became the easy recognisable link to connect movies. Really like Benedict Wong as an actor though but tired of all the minifigure inclusions in sets where he wasn’t necessary.
For me, the No Way Home set will be top. Sanctum is nice but it;s really a Dr.Strange set.
I definitely agree.
100% agree

The civil war suit actually does appear in far from home briefly, but it’s not used in any action set pieces.
6:14 Actually, that figure was first designed for the original far from home wave. Soo, it does fit.
11:15 my theory is that LEGO couldn’t use the likeness of macho man Randy Savage for the Bonesaw figure, so they canceled it.
I believe this is the common statement. A shame too, would have made for a rather unique set
Great video! Loved the list

6:18 interestingly enough, this nick fury is from the original ffh set. they just re-used it for the non movie sets.
lol nice, so he's always been flip flopping between comics and movies.

@@RayLilySeries agreed. would’ve been nice to get an updated figure, especially considering they’re still using him to this day
The mcu MJ is not named "mary jane" its call Michelle jones.

Actually, that Fury figured debuted in the far from home sets, so it's actually a movie fig not a comic fig.
10:08 I see what you did there…

I remember always wanting that molten man set lol
It’s pretty decent. Cool to have an exclusive Spider-Man figure here
I think you’re overreacting about the Zendaya Mj figs sure they’re not 10/10 but they’re still pretty decent
Fair enough. I think it’s one of the weakest actor likeness translations I’ve ever seen personally. Her upcoming Dune minifigure looks great besides the hair.
10:01 it’s Michelle Jones in the Tom Holland trilogy
I think it's a shame we never got Amazing Spider-Man sets.

I’m so happy I have some of the better sets ❤
I want to build a whole city one day when I get my own place
The dream right there
Fun fact: MJ isnt mary Jane watson in the mcu movies, but instead called michelle jones watson
Love it

Where would you rank the new spider man now way home set compared to the others if you had made this video after its reveal.
Good question. On the one hand we finally have a Lizard minifigure and a brickbuilt Sandman looks great. On the other hand, it’s surprisingly expensive for what it is at just barely half the price of the Statue of Liberty head and I was shocked to see it priced that high.

The Toy Story 3 game music was so nostalgic
A favourite of mine
Listening to the video ❌
Vibing to each of the transitions between spots ✅
The transitions are important to get right every time.
My dream is to get every single spider man set out there
It’s a hefty goal but one I respect. That’s me with SpongeBob and Indiana Jones personally
👍
Awesome video! What is the Spider-Man and Venom title screen transition from?

@@RayLilySeries thank you! Yeah it looks fun, I'll have to find a way to play it
Damn ma dude you’re so harsh on the minifigures 😂 you’re hard to please x)
😞 I don’t mean to be harsh, I just really wanted more from these movie based sets
@ keeping up standards is important 👍
It's the hide out you can just get it for christmas
Ha is the atm heist better than the other homecoming set, also the nwh set should be a lot higher

Daily bugle?
Covered in the list about non movie based sets :)
Wait..
I SWEAR I seen Peter where the Red & Blue suit in Far From Home..
he wears it when he meets quinten beck in the hideout
@@JackSshaha and in the illusion sequence where mysterio taunts him with Tony’s death.
I actually got that iron spider figure for cheap and it is real i cant believe i only got it for twenty quid
Same! I got it at comic con
My dog ate the number 4 MJ
You're fun
Meh your number 1 spot .. it’s always the most expensive set :/ like that’s kinda meh
That set is kinda ugly too

Wong ruins the mcu for me .. idk why they made him like this important overpowered cameo :/ he sucks
N he ruins most sets

@@RayLilySeries exactly he was chill at first but then they got WOKE on him
