Nice! Yeah those 6x9 magnets made me laugh. Have a VX, recently went with Pioneer gear. For anyone else, you can have a full floating head unit also. Meaning much bigger than the 2din hole. It just sits further out.
Interesting video I have a GX like you. How did you do the rear speakers? Was the cable there for the rear speakers or did you have to run speaker wire?
The speakers wires are already there and connected to the deck’s loom. You simply cut off the Toyota plugs and either solder directly to the speaker tabs or crimp on the correct female lugs. It’s hilarious that they leave the cables there but put skins in with no holes!🙄
Great information. My GX 2013 has the speaker wiring but it doesn't work. Fade to the rear speakers and nothing. Anything else I should be doing? Also Door Courtesy lights also don't have any power. Checked fuses, all good and still nothing. Wirings there, but why would Mr Toyota not just have it connected all the way through to the head unit. Any legends know how to fix this as it as I can't.
Interesting as one if my rear speakers wires didn’t work but I’m sure they cut that and used it for the two way radio speaker that was under the passenger seat when it was a company car. I had to run my own cable for one side from the deck back through to the speaker and it was a pain!
Agreed. I just went the focal because I knew they would physically fit. And the. They kinda didn’t… 🤣🙄 but they were easy to modify and they sound great.
So you want me to record the sound of the speakers with a phone so you can hear what it sounds like through a totally seperate set of speakers recorded from a different device? 🤣 sure that’d be a great test that would be not be the least bit helpful for anyone. If you honestly think thats a good way to test audio maybe just stick with the factory speakers.

Was going to ask the same question. Mine is a 2020 gx. Will check for wiring and if it’s there easy to put in rear speakers. Thanks for the vids.
No problem, than you for the feedback 👍

No need to upgrade the old 79 series for a 200 😀 sounds like a piece of crunk
Plug and play is not necessary 😀 as there are companies that make adapters for all cars

@@JebbreysJibberish haha I have a D40 and nothing fits in right away 😅
