WOW!! What an episode!! Got to see our first look at a Stalker and a Clicker, that part in the museum was terrifying!! Episode 3 is going to be so good and the runtime is 85 minutes!! Let us know your thoughts on Episode 2 "Infected"!

Another crucial aspect of the last scene is the lighter in Tess's trembling hand. She tried to light it up several times, but it didn't work. She almost surrendered when the stalker gave her that kiss, but she tried one more time. Imagine that even if there is no hope, we should never give up. The episode begins with the belief that there is no cure and ends with the hope that one may be discovered.
The acting from that Indonesian professor was amazing. You could see the moment when she found out 14 people were missing the fear that came over her while her hand and drink started to shake. It gave you goosebumps. I hope they bring her back in Pt3 as the one who helps make the cure. Let’s say she is in a military compound in South America, and gets wind of an immune person from the fireflies at Catalina Island ala where Abby and Lev made it to at end of pt2. Also I hope they bring the tendrils into pt3
The cordyceps knew Tess was trying to blow up the building. She was not fully infected so it couldn't stop her. That's why he tried to connect to her with a kiss to take full control but she struck the lighter before it did! Creepy!
The zombie who " kissed" Tess did that cuz she wasn't fighting back, they attack to infect, not to eat
Guys, this is your channel don't feel like you have to hold back! Really loving the series and love hearing about parallels! Can't wait for episode 3!
God I’m so thankful HBO and Craig Mazin are doing this phenomenal series justice. Only 2 episodes in and I love it.
I love how Tess just says "Put the gun down, Joel", showing how much she knows him and how he reacts. She already knew he was going to be pointing it at the door, ready to shoot first and ask questions later.
This episode gave us a clear explanation to why they may have changed the spore aspect into the tendrils. Waking God knows how many up from somewhere else is so much more dangerous. At least with the spores you have chances to avoid the areas. You make a mistake with the tendrils and you have no choice but to run
That was a Stalker that kissed Tess.
I’m hoping with how successful this show is gonna be, we will see a surge of new apocalyptic shows
From someone who's played both games many times, they're doing an incredible job with keeping the show grounded but also mixing things up a bit to keep it fresh for OG fans and newcomers!
I would personally love intro scenes like that for every episode. Both have been done very well so far!
The clickers are indeed terrifying. I dressed up as one for Halloween (Mask from Immortal Masks named Spore), and people were so scared that they would cross the street to keep their distance, even knowing it was a costume.
I think you missed. Tess is actually in the middle of turning. She's already twitching, the click on the lighter is slower and slower, the infested just run pass and ignore her until one fucker like to share "his things" to her and she can't resist the "kiss".
researched this in college this could actually happen the real cordysps get in to ants in real life controls the insects and sends them up a tree to spore more.....it doesn't live unless it's at the right temp...it won't effect humans due to body temperature....however this is not to say it can't mutate in the future....maybe it is flower that mutates it in real life

I was screaming at the beginning when she said bomb the city. She basically sacrificed herself for the greater good. Then the end I screamed "Why did you have to do that!!! That's so GROSSSS!" I told my husband I have a thing about fungus. Like mushrooms on tree. Water logged walkers with barnacles. This is going to be rough for me. The clickers freaked me out too but I'm invested now. I foresee a lot of stomach aches though!! Thanks guys for the reaction. Even though in the end I was screaming how gross that was I was also tearing up about what Tess did to stop them from following Joel and Ellie.
flour factory they make yeast which goes in everything from bread to cakes and so on..i wonder if the organism can blend itself into the grain then when eaten it mutates

I'm positive ellie grabbed to two grenades that landed at her feet.
And I'm dying to know if the hot/dry deserts are safer...
They need SOMETHING to make up for her not touching and breaking the vase!

Great reaction guys .. I consider you two specialist survival horror , zombie apocalypse reactors as you guys know your stuff! Btw for those of us who've played the game I love the way the show runners have mixed it up and implemented new things that weren't in the game so that even us guys , let alone thos who are fresh to this are wowing at the new things! Getting chills and goosebumps from what I've seen so far , similar to what a little Zombie show in 2010 did! Keep up the great work all the best from u.k

This version of "zombies" is off the hook. All nature explanation, nothing super-natural at all, no coming back from death, etc...
I never played the game since it's an exclusive.
I hope the TV series gets more seasons.
Also, It started as fungus in the flour. In episode 1 they had no pancake mix and never got the cake!!
Hence they didn't get infected.
I actually think as you go along with reactions that there will be a group of viewers who DID also play the game. Those viewers I can imagine will appreciate the tie ins and details accurate to the game. As someone who isn't in that group, I also don't mind and it makes it more interesting as a fan of the show only and zombie genre of horror.

Since you guys are loving last of us, you should definitely check out kingdom. It’s another zombie apocalypse show set in ancient Korea. It’s original Netflix show.

Best is always see how it starts and panic in streets it’s more entertaining than rest haha.🎉😂
I keep comparing how these monsters act to how the walkers are in TWD as far as distracting them and whatnot. I also get a lot of I Am Legend vibes because they don't like being in the sunlight.
This show is making the whole zombie theme feel so fresh and different, even compared to the game. I'm loving it!
The scene of the Stalker tongue-kissing Tess with its Cordyceps Tendrils disturbed me more than anything in either of the video games
I don't mind the comparisons to the game I actually love hearing the differences and similarities as its happening, but not any info on like who's gonna come next or what something means etc lol, I think that's what people meant
Love seeing you guys react to this show, those clickers were something else they look incredible. They got the same man and woman who did the voiceover for the clickers in the game back which is why they sound so similar.
Also don't know if anyone else knows but Neil Druckman directed this one and also did a cameo as a dead firefly in the capital building at the end there 👌
This show just keeps going from strength to strength and loving the little informative intros at the start of each episode to just give it that edge over the game. I'm a massive fan of the games but seeing it unravel on the screen and how emotional the main deaths have been so far, yess they were sad in the games but in the show they seem to have more value and more meaningful for me.
Roll on next week, give me bloaters 🙈😂

Very kool show! Yes I like the explanation to how it started. I know it is Hollywood's stuff but underneath it all there is some truth! Just look at Covid 19! This fungus attacks bugs but there are zillions of fungus in the world! And they do mutate!! This is why I got so scared with old movie The Thing! that I saw way back then. Special Affects aside the biology behind that movie and this is very scary!!
Someone pointed out that the reason why Tess wasn't being attacked was because she didn't try to fight back. The infected are violent against humans because humans resist. I don't think the stalker knew Tess was infected, it merely wanted to infect her and it didn't attack her because she wasn't resisting. As for the runners that didn't see her, that's because the runners were running and from ep 1 we were shown that runners don't really have good sense of direction/awareness, so they were running after the source of the noises and didn't see Tess, until a Stalker that walked in noticed her.
The infected (especially the clickers) are so gross looking to me, it’s gonna take me a while to get used to watching them on screen.

I’m new to The Last of Us world so I know virtually nothing about anything but I just know that the look of other variations of infected is gonna make me itch. They’re so gross looking but I love it 🤣

HBO really dropped the ball on this show . No way they should have reached the capital by episode 2, they are rushing through the game content cutting out 90% of the game . Finishing the entire game plus the DLC in just 9 episodes , this could easily have been a 4-5 season show .

The so called 90% of the game is just murdering NPCs. This is a tv show, not a game, it cant do that format.
WTF are you even talking about the show is great it's just fine you ever heard of small little time skips to reach the intended destination they did the exact same thing in the game after the museum there is a cut and your immediately at the capitol building. So far except for a few small changes like the addition of the tendrils and the whole connected hive mind system the show is following the game very accurately.
The pacing is good. I don't know what you talking about, do you really want a full episode of Joel and Ellie sneaking around the infected?
