      Trump handed her the debate, he really messed up the question on race look his supporters want law and order but the liberals and independents clearly don't want that and he came off so not for black people and minorities he really shit the bed there and on bragging and basically admitting he doesn't pay any taxes

      In part I agree, in part I disagree. Along with the bad policies of Hillary, we also get some really great stuff. She supports civil rights for the lgbt, women, minorities etc. She supports helping the poor and wants a higher min wage etc. At least she talks about how climate change is real. Trump is against all of that.

      She was a Senator for 8 years, and the Secretary of State for 4. Are you suggesting that Hillary Clinton had the political power to create whatever laws and social programs she thought were great for America? How in the hell can you make an argument that a woman with one Senatorial seat could change the government as she pleased?

I'm not thrilled about Hillary at all....but Trump is a bigoted, out of touch, xenophobic, dumbass who's convinced some not so smart people that he some kind of Savior. Trump and Clinton have both gotten away with things that the average citizen would go to jail for, so that argument is BS.

      Regardless if she won or not, it doesn't mean she'll win the presidency. Nor does it mean people should vote for her. She's still a cold, corrupt, lying politician who won't do anything for the American people. I'm voting for Jill Stein and hope others have the courage to do likewise.

    I think Clinton appealed somewhat well to Bernie supporters in this debate. You know, compared to Bernie, Clinton sucks. But when you stand her next to Trump, and compare policies and temperament, it is clear that she is sooo much closer to Sanders than Trump is.

      Obama won in 2012 and 2008 largely by appealing to liberals...there is zero chance Hillary will do anything about student debt or health care; she spent all of august going to mega-donor events rather than public events. She'll represent those interests, not the general public's.

      She can't really do that she had to let that all go because when you take 14 million and turn it into 10 billion that's what America called success and when you look at her record she had to run like hell away from it and had to get into the social issues as quickly as possible

      Lephirox I don't know young lady I do real estate for a living let me tell you something that one example he gave where the buildings that were three and a half billion dollars and he owes 650 million dollars you might want to get a calculator out and see if you sold those buildings tomorrow how much money he could put in his bank account and that's just those particular buildings he has them all over the world am I saying he won the debate no ,I agree with the analysis provided in this video but what you're stating is just silly projection

      yes I truly believe that Donald Trump has a net worth of 10 billion dollars you don't own properties all over the world have people that are completely against you say that he hangs out with captains of industry has been a billionaire for five decades trust me if he wasn't a billionaire somebody would have found out and leak the information

      Lephirox success is measured in the business World by the amount of money you start with compared to the money you end up with, 80% of all businesses in the United States fail Trump has over 500 companies and his five decades take companies that have went bankrupt and manage them from the total amount of companies he's ever had then get the percentage. That percentage, even if it was only 75% that would be 75% higher than Hillary Clinton's average

      Who won isn't a matter of just opinion though, when you debate in school, points are earned from the judges based on a system in place. He avoided answers and the moderator had to ask again so what is your answer to the question. You don't win points in a debate by going off topic and having no coherent point. At one point he said something like the biggest tell from John Kerry that the Iran deal was bad and then he never finished his point, just all over the place.

      don't forget to get rid of the 'First Past The Post' voting system and switch to the 'Alternative Vote', so people can actually dare to vote for the candidate they agree with the most and don't feel pressured into voting for the lesser evil, because if you don't (and vote for your favorite) the greater evil might win

    • @mainmanbumfuzz8983
      @mainmanbumfuzz8983 8 років тому

      What is the point of even getting the tax returns, they were Audited, we know it is all above board because he is audited yearly.
      The worst they can find is that he A) dont have as much money as he claims, or B) he use tax loopholes to avoid paying full tax. in the first case, who cares? it is embarrassing, but it changes nothing. and in the second case, he has been open about exploiting tax loopholes to gain an advantage, like he said in the debate, navigating the tax laws to minimize what you have to pay is the hallmark of a successful businessman.

      Not all countries in Asia are, but China most definitely is as an authoritarian socialist state. The most I know in regards to Asia is about China, with plenty of democratic countries in Asia still operating effectively and efficiently.
      Of course, Asia is a very racist and hostile place in the world, as it always has been. I could even argue it being more so than the USA. As a citizen of Australia, I feel obligated to look up to the northern hemisphere and ask a simple question, should the self-claimed "developed" world of the pro-American countries following WWII not be obligated to lead by example?
      I hope the USA remembers what it once stood for and how much it opposed nationalism, whether it be the spread of the communism or fascism (regardless of having its own concentration camps back then, which can be argued as making the country hypocritical, especially when taking into account the adoption of McCarthyism during the Cold War).

      ***** The entire debate. Trump did disgustingly well on the offensive close to the first half. The second half Clinton definitely picked up, but frankly Trump gave some strong answers and a few powerful counter attacks. He tore her apart in the beginning and survived the second half, and for the common person their attention span drops the longer they pay attention to something.
      Trump told an ample amount of lies, but people need to remember that this debate is not unlike other debates that Trump has held. He's proven time and time again that his brand of oration is incredibly powerful to the people he is campaigning to, who are in general angry with how the government has been treating them, Clinton included. Clinton though feels like she's losing people whenever she opens her mouth. Whether it be the stuttering or the cold usual politician speak, she's seeming inept at appealing to people as a person.

    • @TehDubba
      @TehDubba 8 років тому

      ***** What are you rambling about? I already established I hate Trump. It does not matter in this election.

      @TehDubba 8 років тому

      ***** Clearly those groups of people are NOT the groups he's campaigning to, and I'd think those numbers would be self explanatory for the absurd non sequitur you came to. His strategy is to appeal to classically white voter groups, with as many side demographics as he can trick into voting for him.
      Fox News, right now, is showing that voters believe that Trump won the debate despite media bias towards Clinton. IF Fox News is really the group you want to cite then lol okay let's play ball.
      Finally, it's clear he hasn't lost whatsoever. In fact, As of now, he is threatening to flip classically democrat states including Pensylvania, Maine, Wisconsin, and New Hampshire, which is absolutely terrifying. Clinton is losing ground and fast.

      crash and burn. the people are reaching that critical point of anger, where cars start burning in the street. Donald Trump is the political equivalent to a burning car in the middle of a riot. People want to see they have at least some power left. So they burn cars or elect Donald Trump, Just because he isn't a traditional politician and is smart enough to say things people like and are angry about. Whether he has any solid plan to make anything he says reality is completely irrelevant.
      Trump is essentially a big finger to DNC and RNC to tell them "see we have still power". Of course the problem is it is irrelevant who is the President the corruption is far more deeply rooted, than who is the current President. In the end President is pretty powerless to change any of the troubles of USA. Even some of the people know it, but at least getting Trump elected is something visible and different, than the ever on going march of political dynasties. and if USA ends as burning wreck, at least it is the peoples burning wreck and not the inner elites burning wreck.

    I highly doubt that question marks were put in Trump supporter's heads. If after all the stuff the guy has said hasn't shifted their opinion, nothing in this debate came near doing so either. You guys keep looking at this from the standpoint of yourselves. If you dislike someone, chances are you're going to need a hell of a lot of sway to push you in the other direction. Nothing tonight did that. If anything, the fact that there were large parts of the debate where Clinton and Trump were neck and neck and parts of the debate where Trump was likely winning points, one has to ask, how did we get here in the first place? How is anyone running roughly even with Trump in the debate and the polls???

    • @JELIFISH19

      I would say that Trump won overall. She may have won the debate if you look at it from a debate standpoint. But Trump has lost many debates during the primaries and that didn't stop him. I don't think she said anything to sway undecided votes or to get support from people who aren't planning to vote. She didn't win the debate in the ways she needed to win to guarantee the election. She didn't do anything to hurt his cause. Trump is still going very strong. And I worry that it's going to get much worse for Hilary if Trump stays on certain topics in the next debates.

      Hillary looked like a satisfied pussycat toying with her mouse before mauling it to death.
      Going into the debate - I thought it would be a nervous, well prepared lawyer, versus a dominant question-dodging imbecile.
      He was beaten black and blue - like a complaining school-kid (most of what came out of his mouth was childish) bent over Hilary's principal's desk and receiving a caning.
      There was nothing there that could be improved upon in the next two debates.
      He simply does not have the necessary qualities to be President. The transcript shows that he doesn't have the ability to string together more than three sentences that aren't non-sequiturs.
      The next two debates will show him to be completely vaccuous - he's the one using soundbites all the time. I get the feeling that Hilary doesn't see him as any kind of opposition at all.
      Because - in this format - despite all his protestations and interruptions. He isn't.

    Trump won because he didn't lose. Sounds crazy, but while Hillary scored more points and got trump on the defensive, Hillary didn't gain any support and trump didn't lose any. for the challenger, trump, that probably makes him a winner.

    Agreed. Trump won the first 10-15 minutes of the debate, but then he kept repeating himself. Clinton stepped up her game and destroyed him the rest of the debate.
    Overall, first debate goes to Clinton. She looked nervous at the start, but warmed up quickly after. Can't wait for the next one.

    • @PowerPAOK
      @PowerPAOK 8 років тому +1

      I would think more crackheads and especially those undertaking an education through college would be watching this debate, due to this being a major decision for the USA. On one hand you have an emotionally detached social nationalist and on the other hand you have a capitalist corrupting a neo-liberal establishment. Very interesting to see how little the "developed" world has changed since WWII, but I personally would never claim anything that has come out of Trump's mouth to this date as winning.

    • @TrineofFire
      @TrineofFire 8 років тому +1

      PowerPAOK
      After watching the Republican debates, I just see another Ted Cruz vs Trump scenario here and we all know how that turned out. Clinton blew her load in a desperate knock out punch and yeah, it shook up Trump a bit during the middle of the debate, but that's all it did. What ammo does she have for the next two debates? Nothing.
      Trump appeared real, down to earth and genuine, while Hillary just ended up personifying everyone's angry/awkward grandma.

    • @PowerPAOK
      @PowerPAOK 8 років тому +2

      I would never associate "being real" to Trump, but we are both free to our own opinions. I just hope both canditates are able to handle world tension regardless of who is nominated. Especially with the imminent thread of mass migration as we approach a population of 9 billion Homo sapiens, requiring us to double our food production by 2050, not to mention our access to clean water and energy.
      I also can't help but feel dumbfounded to the lack of concern in the USA for the sea level rising and the encroaching tide in regards to New York.
      Oh well, rest in pieces NATO and South Korea if Trump wins I guess. Hope China puts an import tax of 26% on the USA just for the memes if Trump wins as well.

    Well it looks like she played presidential, was well prepared, and gave mr. Trump full crazy rein. If anyone believes she lost that debate then they are holding onto old grudges and not present reality. Doesn't mean she will take the race, but she won the debate. Debates do not change the vote that much ( historically +-~ 1 percent). I did like it that no one let him get away with lies or ignorance. That really helped this debate. She "treated him like the incompetent child he is...." - secular talk, quote.
