    I agree to edge last but.. I must admit, I do it first because..I know if I don’t, then I’ll mow and just go back in the house 😂

    • @GarageGear
      @GarageGear  3 роки тому +3

      Haha for some, edging is not their favorite thing to do. I usually mow first then edge, trim, leaf blow, and wrap up by cleaning my equipment. I know you love your reel mowing. Bet you can cut it so short you don’t even need to edge.

    I've had a Troy-Bilt 554 walk-behind for 15 years now. It makes short work of the job and always gives me a nice, tight 90 degree edge. The curb wheel feature also makes it super easy to the street side. I do the edging every other week, which means the mess is always small enough to get picked up by the mower. It's super easy and I get tons of compliments.

    I don't do much edging anymore. An 8" braided wire wheel digs a deep trench for a much better long lasting job. Helps irrigation, erosion, and helps in keeping turf low. First use mower set low on edging to lower grass cleanup, then use the wirewheel to pull out the dirt.

    Another great informative video! I don’t have a concrete sidewalks or driveway so I a dedicated edger wouldn’t make sense but found the info on the Predator engine useful. BTW were do you live? I’m in Syracuse and we have been drowned in rain the last week.

      Thanks David! The predator is AWESOME! Works very well! Plenty of power for this edger and fit right on! I’m in Lancaster right outside of Buffalo. The lake kinda shields my area in the summer from some rain storms(a meteorologist told me that) north and south of us are getting all the rain. We’ve only gotten a half inch in the past 5-6 weeks. Got a storm tonight though and possibly tomorrow to. Thanks for watching David!

    Cool video! I got a kick out of your presentation style - nice! 😎😁👍
    I see your point about edging after mowing, however when I mow, I typically mow along the edges so I'm not constantly running over the edge of the lawn when mowing back and forth.
    I prefer to edge first, then mow so that the mower picks up/cleans up the loose grass edgings that I blow into the yard with the leaf blower.
    I just recently purchased a Troy Built TB550 walk behind gas edger, ( previously used an edger attachment for my Echo PAS 225 weed eater, ) but like your place, I have long edges beside the driveway, curb and sidewalk, so now the walk behind edger is my best-of-best bud! 😎

    • @GarageGear
