Where I get my Parts - cpaddict.com/ - Авто та транспорт
Matt you are an honest soul. So glad you could help him out.
Just doing what I would want someone else to do for me!
I'm not sure if you'll read this, but Here it goes. How about throw in a basic engine that runs. Make it safe to drive. And sell cheap to a young man that like these as we do.
Amazing how things work out some days. Hindsight is 20/20, but what are the chances these folks would be calling you and you have their truck. You also get to bring another one home, and a few parts too. Well done. 👏👏
I know totally crazy! Blew both of our minds haha
Pretty wild story, love the idea of making it mechanically sound for a nice daily driver.
Jack it up with an 8" lift put some 38s and a big Block ford with a 5spd
Well good thing you pulled that “stolen “ crew cab out so you have a place for the new Highboy.😂
I know right 🤣
Wow what a story. I was interested in getting a crew cab 1968-1972 project. Unfortunately I have found none, must be at Matt's, lol. I will come across one one day... working on my 2 highboys, rust down the body line and cab mounts too common.
Gotta love those "west coast mirrors!" 😎 Good on you for taking the truck back Matt. 🔧🔩
Thanks Zane!
Well that's rare these days lol. What goes around comes around and you'll be rewarded. Most crew cab hoarders now days would have remained silent lol.
While the hood ain't in the way, Sawzall off that fordiculous radiator core support. The only thing I hate about bumpside and dentside ford's. Pop a squarebody hood, nothing above the hood latch. Hood pins are a must.
Dang. That sucks. It’s awesome you were able to get it back to them. The world needs more people like you. Great job.
Do you have an email I could message you at? I have some questions about parts for my 68 Highboy project. Or I’d be happy to send you mine.
If you have a Facebook check out the description of this video and click on the bumpside highboy Facebook group. That’s a great place to ask highboy related questions! Answer the membership questions and I’ll approve your membership 👍🏻
Awesome job matt, the world needs more honest people like yourself, keep up the great work
Thank you!
Great story and ending!
Put a 300 inline 6, holley sniper fuel injection with a five speed behind it....
The new truck could be cool, id lean to restore it
When I bought my 1929 Ford Model A. All I got was a bill of sale from the owner. I thought to myself I'd better call my local state trooper before I sink a bunch of money into this thing .Only to find out when I go to get tags for it it's stolen. So I call the trooper shows up runs the number on the frame cause there is no "vin number" on the body. He tells me that I'm good to go.
Yeah that’s a very good idea on any project your not sure about.
So, if a guy had the crew cab and the chassis built for it, is everything else the same? That is the fenders, hood and box could be from a standard 2WD? I restored a 67 F100 as my daily driver but I want to get into a 4WD crew cab bump-side for work, and want to know how particular it is.
Yea it’s all standard stuff short of the rear doors and b pillar and even those are cut down from standard stuff. The crews were hand built.
What motor is in the 71 sport custom pkg truck Matt sir?!
And is the frame and interior decent shape im still looking for a 68-71 Ford prefer a f250 i can build a rat rod shop truck project out of but I'd almost bet that he would not be interested in trading on my 2000 dodge ram laramie slt quad cab long bed 318 magnum V8 46 RH automatic overdrive transmission manual shift transfer case lever on the floor 1500 4x4
It had a 360 in it.
