- Today is my First Time Flying a business class on Bamboo Airways flight from Sydney Australia to Saigon (Ho Chi Minh City) Vietnam. And this is also my first time visiting Vietnam, so come and join me!

I flew with Bamboo Airways QH86 Dreamliner 787-9 in May of 2022 from Sydney Australia to Saigon (Ho Chi Minh City) and this is the full review. Bamboo Airways now has direct flight from Sydney & Melbourne to Hanoi & Saigon (Ho Chi Minh City). You need to do Covid-19 test in Australia before flying to Vietnam but once you arrive, there is no more Covid-19 test required for domestic travel nor quarantine. You only need to have your tourist visa and fully vaccinated covid-19 certificate (2 dose) if you are traveling from Sydney Australia.

I'm always so impressed with how they serve the food in business class, it's so fancy compared to the little microwaved dishes in economy. Seeing you land in HCMC brings back so many memories of our trips there. Hope you enjoy your stay at Ha Long Bay!!

Wow. That's a wonderful vlog and thanks for showing us these wonderful footages. Bamboo Airways is always in my to-try-list. I heard a lot of nice reviews about BAmboo Airways and I always wanted to try it for myself if I have the opportunity. Their business class product and food, impressive.

Welcome to Vietnam! That's an excellent business class product of Bamboo Airways. It's a shame that they have stopped this route, and also gave up on all of their B787-9s.

WOW, the food looks better than Vietnam Airlines. I flew Ho Chi Minh City to Melbourne last month. It was good but different to what you had. However, it was my first time travelling business class and was still happy with my experience. I plan to go back to Vietnam in January. I will try Bamboo Airways if the cost of business class ticket is cheaper than VA.
Ohh this was my first time too. I suggest to get the Vietnamese menu than Western as they’re pretty decent but yeah overall pretty good

Flying first-class or business class is truly awesome. Lieles and I have been bumped to first a couple of times, and I have done transatlantic flights first-class, and it has been truly appreciated to spend +10 hours with extra room.

Great vlog Nick. Vietnam has been on our bucket list for a long time. Did you take a peek in economy to see how it was? I don't think there's much chance of us ever travelling business so it would be interesting to see Bamboo's offerings in economy.
PS. After watching this I started following Bamboo on Facebook (to do more research) and I saw a post about welcoming Australian tourists back to Vietnam and saw a familiar face standing in the background of a group shot of tourists 😀😀

Asian airline usualy and really provides customer service. Whereas Qantas gave you impression that they just giving you a favor by serving you food.
This's exactly what I got in mind. Qantas is good airline but flight attendant services can't even compare with the Asians. Even Air New Zealand I flew with was nicer. Aussie n Kiwi are truly same same but different.
Same sentiments about Qantas
When your wife lets you travel to Southeast Asia all by yourself, you know you've found the right one.

Yeah i found even the economy was super affordable for a 9 hour flight from australia- i think one way was around 300 aud

Hey mate can I please ask (hopefully you reply) - at 5:34 you said you get access to the business lounge in Sydney - but which lounge? Bamboo Airways doesn't have a business lounge in Sydney do they?
Its the lounge next to amex one - forgot the name - the one you can use priority pass 🤣- its just a standard lounge sadly.

can you update us on the step by step covid quarantine process.I am dyeing to fly back to Vietnam for a break but scared of the huge amount of paperwork and testings involved. never been to HLB but love old quater hoi an and dan nang. Must be so hot over there given its so cold over here.

hey great video, I was hesitant to fly on Bamboo because their CEO just got arrested for fraud and imbezzlement or something similar.... and ive been stung during covid with airlines not refunding me at all.... look up the bamboo ceo arrest, make your own decision as to how often you want to book with them in future trips, not sure what will happen... but looks great so far!
ohh i didnt know actually. i know the group behind Bamboo Airways (FLC Group) is one of the biggest group in Vietnam - this is from local Vietnamese friends who told me hehe

Thanks Nick, cool. I am not sure who I should book, Bamboo or VNA. On Bamboo website, they said " Bamboo Airways temporarily suspends to offer business lounge at international terminal" . I want to wait in the lounge so thats good to hear that they still offered business lounge

Their website and mobile app works like it was built by a kid. So clunky and if you’re lucky you’ll get charged without a ticket. I made a mistake trusting the marketing and advertising but never again flying with this startup airline
You should not talk over food cart .
Food is not as good as offering from Singapore Air or even Vietnam airline
