Did you hear how out of breath Bobby was at the beginning of the video? They had just finished a song abd Bobby was still recovering from some upper respiratory issues when he went straight into this spectacular performance. He was also nervous because his parents were in the audience.
You are one of the rare reactors who has given props to the beautiful melody played beautifully by the NBC Orchestra of the 'Andy Williams Show' 58 years ago. Their performance and the awesome vocals by Bobby Hatfield of the Righteous Brothers has made this (Live) television performance done back in 1965. As the greatest performance in television history. Composer Alex North and Lyricist Hy Zaret who wrote this back in 1955 for the Prison Movie "Unchained." Never would have thought that 'Unchained Melody' would be sung and played by over 1000 singers and orchestras from around the world. Priceless!
I'm so glad you like my Righteous Brothers music. They came out when I was in high school in 1964. We feel in love with these guys. There are so many beautiful memories for me. RIP Bobby! We miss hearing your beautiful voice. ❤️❤️❤️
I'm 75. I believe the top 2 decade's of music was the 50's, 60's and 70's And I can only imagine what it would all sound l8ke with today's technology! Remember they had no audo tune!
Every woman loves to slow dance to this song especially with that special someone. Blessed to grow up with this kind of music…just pure raw talent… no auto tune or lip syncing
I am commenting on your clarity of the vocals you’re not just fixated on you, but the singers, I’m giving you a liking to subscribe only to those two items. Good job.
I walked down aisle to marry my husband 21 years ago to this song. It was our song anyway and I felt it was perfect. I swore I'd never walk to Here Comes The Bride since I learned in college that it was written as a joke in Midsummer Nights Dream. We married at my father's house which gave him some happiness as the year previously had been sad for him due to my mother's death. He surprises my husband the day before by giving him my mother's gold wedding band to give me. They had been married for 63 years before she died. I wear her band proudly to this day. Thank you for your beautiful reaction. May God bless you always.
I have loved both Bobby Hatfield and this song when it came out when I was 12. I always imagined he had someone in mind when he was singing. Love, love.😊
The '60s were a great time to be alive. The movies were excellent, TV, all three channels was very entertaining and the music was incredible. Sinatra, Dean Martin, the host of the show we just watched, Andy Williams was right up there with the best of the rest. And rock & roll was coming on strong with Elvis, The Beach Boys, The Beatles and The Righteous Brothers were just the tip of a huge iceberg. We will never see the likes of that era ever again, but it's so nice to be able to just kick off your shoes and get into that sweet, sweet groove and lose yourself in them good old days.
Soul and Inspiration and You’ve Lost That Loving Feeling. Yep just Pure Talent no Autotune back then. You should check out the BeeGees Too Much Heaven and Staying Alive. Just love your reaction. You really know True Talent
Great reaction. I couldn’t agree more - most of today’s music is trash. You mentioned the man who asked The Righteous Brothers how they came up with their name. He is Andy Williams. He had a variety show in the sixties. He is also a wonderful singer. Please react to some of his songs. My favorite ones are: “Born Free”; “The Days of Wine and Roses”; “Moon River”; “More”; “Almost There”; “Charade”; “Happy Heart”; and “Dear Hart”. 💕💜💕💜💕💜
You should listen to Elvis do this song Live only a couple months before he died! Righteous Brothers are Amazing & Elvis is in a lane by himself!! Please, you Need to react to it ! Be Blessed! You’re awesome
Young man you made a great choice here and are about to listen to one of the greatest singing voices of all time. Unbeknownst to you in advance Bobby Hatfield closes by demonstrating he can reach FOUR octaves with his golden voice. A truly magnificent performance. Now you know what real music sounds like. All natural talent. No artificial ingredients. It's a shame he passed away so early. My top decades in order: the 80's, 60's , & 70's. You've got a lot of catching up to do.
You ask what were the three best decades in music? Can't say for sure but what I can say for sure is the 1960's was without question the best decade and any other decade is a distant second!
Just subscribed to your channel after watching your reaction to the Late GREAT Bobby Hatfield...love it when young people can appreciate GREAT music..love from London 🇬🇧 xx
In my humble opinion the 60's was the greatest decade in Rock & Roll history. It created some of the greatest groups and solo acts the world has ever known. Though the 50's created the early sound and pioneers of Rock & Roll. The 60's created more music genres than any other decade in Rock & Roll history. Check out the music of the 60's. You will be pleasantly surprised as to all the artists that came out of the 60's: R&B and Soul music started with the Motown Sound Temptations, Smokey Robison and the Miracles, The Supremes, The Four Tops etc. The Sound of Philadelphia Delfonics, Blue Magic, The Three Degrees, Stylistics, Blue Notes with Teddy Pendergasts etc. The British invasion: Beatles, Rolling Stones, The Byrds, The Bee Gees, and The Hollies etc.
"You've lost that loving feeling" they do together. They are both 24 years old here. You need to react to Bobby singing another solo "Summertime". He will blow your mind.
Must listen to the most played song in the 20th century, Your lost that loving feeling, Your my soul and inspiration, I just want to make love to you, You'll never walk alone, Bobby singing "Summertime" were he rips his talent and on and one 'Ebb Tide" by Bobby and on and on.
Thank you! I came to the comments hoping someone would mention the talk show host...I've watched a ton of reactions to this performance but have never seen that part before. I've heard the name but have never seen him b4...handsome and funny ❤
@ It's Doug...The Righteous Brothers ruled the late 60's and 70's ! Please do more! They always deliver! P.s. If the sounds familiar, it was in the movie Ghost! Thanks for your excellent reaction! 40's, 50's and 60's!!!
Bobby Hatfield had a 5 or 6 octave tenor range Bill Medley was an amazing baritone Each would do a single per record No one has ever done this song better
Beautiful man, beautiful delivery and outstanding talent with a touch of soul. This live version is even better than the studio cut released as side B of the 45 which charted twice. Bobby effortlessly knocked it outta the park. They are a dynamic duo but Bobby is my fave. RIP Bobby Hatfield you are missed. Check out You will never walk alone or Hung on you as a couple of lesser known cuts or Soul and Inspiration or You've lost that loving feeling or Rock and Roll heaven for hits they have done.
Please do yourself a favor and listen to the Righteous Brothers do "You've Lost That Lovin' Feeling" and "I Just Wanna Make Love To You" and "Summertime." You won't be disappointed!
You'll love these songs & the soulful blend of Bobby & Bill's different voices. You get it why their songs are timeless . Enjoyed your reaction & I subscribed.

I AGREE with you completely-- there ARE no good singers any more-- i'ts alll TRASH.. ALL OF IT... nothing fit to even turn on a radio for!!! Bobby did this- and Elvis tried it and screwed it up royally-- NO ONE can Touch Bobby on this one-- NO ONE!!!! He bites his lip at the end as a signal to his MOM who was in the audience and had never heard him sign LIVE professionally before... :)
Top 3 decades of music: 60's, 70's, and '65-'75. Music got progressively worse after that, as talent is no longer required. All that is needed these days is a marketing scheme, backing from greedy record companies and agents, shock value, and autotune.
No auto tune back in the day...just beautiful voices!
Did you hear how out of breath Bobby was at the beginning of the video? They had just finished a song abd Bobby was still recovering from some upper respiratory issues when he went straight into this spectacular performance. He was also nervous because his parents were in the audience.
His range is unmatched.
His pitch is unmatched.
The 3 best decades of music? 60s, 70s, 80s and I'm so blessed to have lived through the most romantic, happy, upbeat music and lyrics of all time!
Bobby had a bad head cold when he sang this song and he still killed it.
Many have tried ,but no one sings it like Bobby Hatfield !BRAVO , OUTSTANDING!
I was 10 years old when he sang this song. Its just as beautiful now as it was back then.
You’ve lost that lovin feeling. It’s both of them and the harmonization at the end is legendary
50’s, 60’s and 70’s were the best years for music as far as I’m concerned! 👵🏼💜☮️
I agree
"You've Lost That Loving Feeling" - you will love it ❤❤❤
Small Mike....Larger than life voice...Yeah Bobby do it.....R.I.P

I saw that on TV when I was sixteen. 1965.
Please listen to Summertime by Bobby Hatfield. Its insane😎😎
Nobody before or since has performed Unchained Melody as heavenly as the late Bobby Harfield. He died way too soon around 2003, I believe.
This was the Andy Williams show , he was a singer too...Moon River...Bobby's mother was in the audience...
Thank you! I came to the comments hoping someone would mention the talk show host...I've watched a ton of reactions to this performance but have never seen that part before. I've heard the name but have never seen him b4...handsome and funny ❤

No question, 60's. For R&B, the 80"s were the best.

"You've Lost That Lovin Feeling"
Listen to the RB's 1965 live version of You'll Never Walk Alone.
In another video you said that you love love songs, have you ever heard "I want to know what love is" by foreigner? It's a great one too.

How small are microphones today, which sit from the ears out..?
Your very beautiful Doug.
Auto-tune killed the music for me. One of their songs that I always liked is '(Your My)Soul and Inspiration'.
It'sDoug, I recommend you listen to, The Walker Brothers too and give a reaction to them...

Check out... " Hung on you"
1950 to 1979
He was joking about the song not being a hit.
your right Bro, todays music is produced to sell sugar, potatoe chips, coke, popcorn .beer by anybody that can make corporations rich while we die.
Live performance, no backup track. It was just a required skill level to be this good every single time you performed.
Today…not so much.
Top 3 decades of music: 60's, 70's, and '65-'75. Music got progressively worse after that, as talent is no longer required. All that is needed these days is a marketing scheme, backing from greedy record companies and agents, shock value, and autotune.
Omg get a 9 volt
Wow you stopped the video 6 times in three minutes!
50’s, 60’s and 90’s have the best music
With today's music you can make a song with barking dogs and car horns with all the electronics.Sad!
God this song reminds me of my pop every anniversary of my gran dying playing this song on repeat 😭
