As someone who knows a thing or two about being involved with setting up and running RL media over many years I know how difficult it is to keep the grind going. But stick with it. We need guys like you because without media the sport is nothing. There will be many times when you will wonder why you are even bothering. Don't listen to that voice.
I don't think the NRL wants to turn SL into a feeder grade. IMO, the NRL needs a stronger SL for expansion. That's our advantage against the NFL and the NBA. We as fans want expansion. The thing is, unlike the NBA claiming to be world champions, NRL and SL have a merit format like the World Club Challenge to claim that title to claim and defend.
New Zealand, Tonga and Samoa have strong international sides with little or no domestic comps. All the kiwis play in the NRL and sometimes Super League. It would be weird if all of the English team was chosen from the NRL.
