    *Construction seemed sturdier than other units I considered **MyBest.Tools** Noise level was reasonable. Good pressure and cfm capacity for a small reasonably light compressor.*

    *This does exactly what I was wanting **MyBest.Tools** Price was fantastic, lower than Harbor Freight-and it included hose and attachments, and IT IS MADE IN AMERICA, unlike Harbor Freight*

    I just picked up this compressor and it is very good in my opinion. Aired up my 35s in no time.

    Your description above (and the amazon webpage) says: Maximum airflow - 72 liters per minute. That is an error. That only works out to 2.54 CFM. It should say 160 liters/min for 5.65 CFM. The description they used is from their model 2780 model which is half the capacity. Still, I agree with your assessment and will likely buy this model. Thanks.

    Thanks for the review. The guage reads so high for RV tires. I have an f250 that took 80psi. Rvs go higher

    Not an engineer, however, I agree about the 5psi increments. Should definitely be in 1psi increments.
    Also, I would prefer an air compressor that allows me to set the psi I want, and then it shuts off automatically once that psi is achieved. I understand Smittybilt makes quality components however, seems like there can only be so many cycles you can switch that thing on and off (waiting to achieve the psi you want), before it wears out.

    Looks like the same as my AllTop compressor. I really like the speed and noise level. My only complaint is how hard it is to find fittings for it in the USA. If you're looking on Amazon I think its the Nitto Japanese Air Fittings but I haven't bought them yet to confirm. Oh and if you're expecting it to go higher than 110psi you may want to look at other options.

    I consider all those battery operated compressors as cheap, but usable. But again I would be proud too at $200 bucks. I thank you for sharing. Your not out much money if it gets smashed or fails on you.

    Just got mine today. Its a nice compressor. I hear bad reviews about durability and customer service. I hope it lasts longer than my viair 88p (3 years and still working perfect). I'll keep that under the backseat as backup in case this smittybilt fails.

    The Compressor actually runs faster if your Vehicle is running.

    • @calitaco
      @calitaco 3 роки тому +4

      It's always recommended to run the engine while airing up due to the amount of power these types of air compressors draw, otherwise you run the risk of draining your battery enough to get you stranded. His FJ40 was running when it was airing up. You'll notice that he went to turn off the motor when he finished.

      The Smittybilt generates 5.6 cfm and viair generates 2.3 cfm. Double the air output by Smittybilt which is same as ARB. If you’re looking for an air compressor look at the cfm rating not psi. Best!

      Hi there, I use mine twice a month. I’ve had it just over a year. O have no problem inflating all four tires without a cool down period. I’d does get really hot so just be careful, but it works awesome and extremely quick to inflate my 33” tires fron10 psi to 28 psi in 2 minutes each. Again thanks for watching.

    Subbed and liked! Thank you for the review! I would like to get a tire air compressor for my raptor (off-roading) and one to fill up the tires on my mustang (1/4 mile track). Stupid question. Can this work on my 315/70r17 tires and 275/40ZR19 tires?

    is it really 5.65 cfm? almost top of the line VIAIR 440P Portable Compressor is only 3.00CFM Free Flow @ 0 PSI

    • @royj8549
      @royj8549 4 роки тому +2

      It's not, its air-up times are very similar to the 440P. A Smittybilt rep confirmed the actual airflow at 40 and 50 psi are nearly identical to the 440P. But the 440P's "intercooler" pipes allow for better real life duty cycle. The Smitty also has a fake heatsink on the head, making it very hot.

    • @Yielar1

    Cool video, I bought the same unit recently, finally got to test it today! One question, there is a little screw on the back of the dial gauge, any idea what that does?

    • @lazerrred
      @lazerrred 4 роки тому +6

      Vanishing Point That is not a screw. It is an air bleed off valve. When or if you over inflate the tire to where you want it you can press the button in and it will release and “bleed” of the excess air to the amount of PSI you would like to have.
