All about pop culture in the 50’s in 60’s.
    Amazing song.
    My favourite of his.
    Thanks for sharing.

This song is all about growing up in the 50's and 60's and the movies and TV shows. .Boston Blackie was a TV/Movie detective. Andy Devine was a aTV sidekick who ended up as a Saturday morning kids show host... one of thse shows was Ramar of the Jungle.
Sky King was a flying cowboy (In an airplane) whose niece was Penny (usually aired just afyer The Buster Brown Show and before Fury or My Friend Flicka - both shows about horses)
Way too many references for me to cover all of them...

As a fan of Jimmy Buffett thank you for doing this as this is one of my favourites. If I could recommend a song to do a reaction of his it's off an album called Volcano and the song is called Chanson Pour Les Petits Enfants another favourite of mines is Last Mango in Paris which the album is called as well. Definitely should give them listen, he will deeply missed.

Bob Dylan considered Jimmy Buffett 1 of his top 5 songwriters.

Fruitcakes, Little Miss Magic, and Beach House On The Moon are some of the Songs You Don't Know By Heart, but well worth a listen

While I absolutely love this song, you seriously need to dig into his music. This isn't one of his better ones. But it is a blast!

"All the songs you know by heart" is like a Jimmy intro...IMHO white sport coat and pink crustation or floridays are some of his best

@@timbo7457 my all time favorite is still A Pirate Looks At 40. IDK man. Just something about that song that gets straight to me. Even when I was a kid.

Whenever one of our musicians passes I send out a message the Ritcheous Brother's tribute
Rock and Roll Heaven to celebrate their ascent. You should consider that too

You probably need to be of a certain age to get the reference to Sky King's neice, Penny, Andy Devine and the Brylcreme signs along the road from my childhood.

I've been a Jimmy Buffett fan since 1973. You have to be of my generation to get the references to TV shows of the 50 and 60s'

The hits are fine, but they aren't the songs to treasure. He Went to Paris, The Captain and the Kid, A Pirate Looks at 40, Tin Cup Chalice, Cowboy in the Jungle and many, many more.

Check out Cowboy in the Jungle. Somewhat humerous, but very deep lyrics at the same time like the following:
    "Alone on a midnight passage
I can't count the falling stars
While the Southern Cross and the satellites
They remind me of where we are
    Spinning around in circles
    Living it day to day
And still 24 hours may be 60 good years
It's really not that long a stay"

So many great songs for you to jump into. Fun songs are fruit cakes, volcano, fins, and Cheeseburger in Paradise. Serious ones a pirate looks at forty, he went to Paris, and death of an unpopular poet

Buffett has so many great songs. I used to listen to “Margaritaville” a lot as a teenager but I got burned out and haven’t heard it in 30 years.
You guys should do a deep dive into his catalog. He has some poignant, emotionally deep songs that will inspire you to reflect on life, love, and the ups and downs that come with living, ie “A Pirate Looks at Forty”, “Son of a Sailor”, “He Went to Paris”, “Changes in Latitudes”, and “Come Monday”.

I grew up listening to Jimmy buffet thanks to my dad so I know all the songs. When we went on vacation as soon as we could smell salt water it was Jimmy Buffett until we left and crossed back in to Georgia or Alabama. You’re the first channel I’ve seen reacting to one of my favorites. The other was “the great filling station hold up” check that out

Or Peanut Butter Conspiracy, but you have to listen to the back story as well
